Yarra Glen Grand Hotel

Even though the food was quite good, services were very sad. We were left waiting for food for 58min. It was a busy day, however we were not told of the waiting period while we were ordering food. As well the tables were sticky and finally we had to get cutlery by ourselves.

Called in for a lemon, lime & bitters there on a hot day. The atmosphere was good, the bar staff friendly.

This is a good pub to grab a bite, have a drink and relax. The food is good and the atmosphere is laid back. It is always lively and people of all ages are about. I have dined here on numerous occasions; both in the dining area and the pub area. It is good to have the option of a lively pub or a quieter dining experience.

Firstly on arrival my visa card at the Grand Hotel Yarra Valley- would not work not sure why, nothing was wrong with the card, even the bank could not explain why, the transaction declined and $250.00 cash was payed for the room.
There was no remote in my room- staff down stairs said that they knew that there was no remote in that room, they did not bother to help at all, it was just excepted there was no remote in that room. Breakfast was a self serve toast, the toaster would not work properly my stay was less then memorable it was like rather loud at night as well, with back yard noises kind thing.

It's a pub so we hesitated. But it is a pub in a beautiful old building. We stayed in the Yarra Suite which was beautiful. It opened to a large porch where we sipped Yarra Valley wines and ate (sorry) French cheese. We enjoyed the experience very much.

Always a great experience stopping here on our way to/from MtBuller or the Yarra Valley. Kid friendly. Good meals.

Lovely food. Friendly service. It was worth booking a table even on the wet cold day we went as they were very busy and booked tables get service priority. Risotto was yummy, as we're their burgers and I had vegetarian Parma which had a wonderful rich tomato sauce 'like Nonna's'

Sept 2019 - Grand in name, grand in appearance. Beautifully renovated old hotel decorated to suit the period. Visit was mid week for lunch. Plenty of customers enjoying a meal. Regular chicken parma was huge and excellent value. Seniors parma withvegetables was just the right size and good value. Friendly helpful staff. Will go again for lunch.

Great place but food seems inconsistent, few months back we had a great meal then today was not so good. Love the building though and the atmosphere.

Great entertainment and it's free, meal was as good as I remember it was before. Haven't been for a while but definitely going back soon. Sunday afternoon, leisurely picturesque drive and it's not far from Melbourne

Went for lunch, ordered the chicken dish $28.was the most unpleasant experience chewing on dirt.as the Kale and vegetables had not been washed and were covered in dirt.so could only eat the chicken, mentioned this to the waitress, but they did nothing.won't be back!

Stayed at the Manager’s House at the Yarra Glen Hotel with my family for 2 nights. Sleeps 8! 4 bedrooms! 2 bathrooms! Kitchen, dining, laundry, living area with fireplace and pool! Beautiful house, well equipped with everything you need! Fast and easy check in. Staff member showed us to the house and showed us everything we needed i.e. Wifi, etc. The staff at Yarra Glen hotel were particularly helpful when we needed help to light the fire; they sent someone to the house straight away! Thank you for a great stay!

Cigarette smell all over the place especially the bar area near the entrance. Not recommended to people who dislike cigarette smell.

A classic historic pub (1888) that's full of charm. Was proud to show an overseas guest this beautiful hotel.

A quick pitstop in between jobs had this amazing parma it was huge but perfectly cooked the topping was excellent the staff were friendly and very helpful and just seemed to be really nice people. I had a lite tap beer it was icy cold 10/10 and guys the chips were spot on so was the salad very lite and fresh! Thumbs up in all areas!

I was served by the beautiful amy who is the most polite and kindest person that i’ve ever been served by! She made my day 10x better) also the chippies were delicious

The grand is a great place to have lots of family's to come with there kids to enjoy entertainment good food for everyone why wouldn't you come to the Yarra Glen grand hotel great lacal pub go river pig's
