I eat here on a regular basis when clients are lunching at nearby wineries. Always attentive service and delicious meals (steak, mash and steamed greens)

Great food, best Parma my partner and I had in a long time.
The HSP Parma was AWESOME! Definitely recommend. Great garlic bread & drinks too.

Only downside is needing to go up to order your food and then needing to go somewhere else to order and pay for drinks. It’s a shame the way restaurants are going in terms of table service.

Had a beautiful Sunday experience here. Arrived at 2: 59 pm with the kitchen, closing at 3 pm. (Not knowing) They hurried us to order food. A great chicken parmigiana and steak. Highly recommend! Well priced food, generous servings, great staff and an affordable bottle of wine! Happy days:)

Was in Yarra glen for the weekend, walked in early arvo and booked a table, no issues and friendly staff. Returned half hour before our booking and kindly given a table.
I ordered a simple Chicken Spitz and to my surprise what I got was more in line with a chicken breaststroke the size Turkey, it was huge.could have been a bit more friendly with the chips though, that's my only gripe.job well done, great feed. Ill be back again.

Historic old school building.
Cosy in the winter but once the weather improves there's a great huge family friendly beer garden.
Huge selection of food including awesome pizzas, and ample beverages on tap

Would recommend to anyone with a large group. They were fantastic. Sent me spreadsheet to pre order meals for group. Food came out all together and everyone commented on how yummy it was. Payment with spreadsheet at end was great too. I really appreciated it and couldn't thank them enough!

Great place for nice pub food, been here more than twice, had the dinner and the lunch menu. Really nice old building located in the beautiful Yarra Valley near the old train station and a lovely park just walking distance

We came here by shear coincidence on a Wednesday evening, which is their “Parma night”: a choice of 7 different variations of Chicken Parmigiano and a free drink (wine, beer, soft drink) for only $21 – what an amazing deal.
I had the ‘Italian Stallion’ Parma which has spicy salami in the filing. It tasted fabulous. The chips were super crispy and piping hot. The portion so big that I had to take half of it home.
Highly recommend for good food, atmosphere and value

What a gem of a place. Great live music, ambiance, food & staff.
Would be a fantastic setting to see some Faulty towers in!

Disappointed with our meals did not come with what was on the board long wait also which is sad been there quite often

Reservation made a month in advance not respected.
Food order to food on the table, anywhere from 45-90mins for the same table ordered back to back. Walked past better places on the way.

Room was good with a comfy bed, 'tho the ensuite was a bit too cosy. And the stairs were a challenge for me as there wasn't an elevator. The meals were delicious too with great choices.

Lovely old country pub with great outdoors under cover seated area. Accommodation if required. Great kitchen, good menu.

Bloody great place to stay. F&B area sprawling and caters to every need. From TAB and a few beers to a good sit down dinner. Over large area of bar, bistro, dinning room, patio.
Accommodation everything as described.
Staff were fantastic.

Beautiful old pub with stunning views of Yarra Glen from the rooms. The food is amazing plenty of room for the kids to play with an inclosed playground. Pizzas are superb best tasty base ive had in a long time! Staff are friendly and helpful.

Loved lunch here, good house wine and food by a wood fire during a cold Melbourne day this is the place to be. Service was excellent.

Enjoyed a fabulous lunch here yesterday. From our arrival, the staff were most welcoming and so too the open fire. So necessary in the cold weather and very much adds to the lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed a delicious lunch, my husband confirmed the chicken parmigiana was excellent and my steak and kidney pie was absolutely outstanding. YUM.
We have enjoyed many lunches here over the years and even an over night stay. We shall certainly continue to make the lovely drive out to The Grand Hotel Yarra Glen, as we have always enjoyed it immensely. Thank you everyone for another great day out in your beautiful part of Victoria.

Rooms a bit noisy at night but this place rocks and the food and atmosphere is bloody fantastic
