Access Canberra Service Centre reviews
71 I was served in a timely manner. The staff who helped me were polite. They had everything sorted very quickly and with great service.
A lot of the complaints people have made here are their own fault. The cut off times are available for each location on their website, it is up to you to have all the required paperwork and it is no one's fault that they are incredibly busy.
Be prepared and everything will run smoothly. It is quite simple
Maybe I got lucky, but I was served within 40 seconds of walking in. Bella was very informative and helpful. Couldn't possibly ask for any more than that.
First time putting a car in my name and Bella was so patent and lovely, she explained everything very well she did an excellent job
New bigger location in Belconnen and always friendly and helpful staff to sort out everyones questions
My wait of almost an hour could have been less than 5 minutes if the door staff had asked me the simple question "What is that you are here for? ", instead of making me scan the QR code for a ticket number and then wait outside. All I needed was a replacement form.
Absolutely disgusting service. I called ahead of time to ask if arriving at 4: 40pm would be ok given they close at 5pm and was told this was perfectly fine, so I drove 45mins to get there and arrived at 4: 40pm on the dot.
I was met by a young male with an extremely poor attitude and was told I wasn't allowed in as they stop taking customers at 4: 30pm. When I explained the situation and the previous advice I had been given by their staff, I was completely dismissed and was refused service.
I then went back the following day and arrived at 4: 10pm, twenty minutes before I was told they stop serving, and was again refused entry, stating they closed at 4pm.
I asked to speak to the manager and was told there is no manager working but was given a number to contact to speak with someone. I was on hold for 45mins before it hung up with no warning. I tried to call the number back and it said it was no longer open.
Be aware, I was here today and it was 4 hours wait exactly, and they closed entrance at 1: 30 pm but the staff was good and working hard
Good and timely service but the key is to arrive early. I arrived at 3pm the day before and was told to come back due to their long que. Came back the next day and was served within 10 mins.
To call these joints “access” is a joke and a half from closing early, to shutting the north most store to only operating 9-5 so that anyone with a normal hours job has no chance of getting in and then getting there an hour before closing paying for parking to be told to go away least accessible place 0/10
Access? What an inappropriate name. There is no access to Access. 3 hour wait minimum. Online access to Access is unavailable. Phone access to Access is accessible to no one.
Be prepared to wait in line for over an hour - take a book, or three with you.
Make sure you have all your documentation otherwise they will send you away and you will be back again to wait in line for another 3 hours.
Drivers Licence took longer than was meant to due to their system having not accepted my application. Hard to say whether this was staff related or system related.
In any case, I suggest you be prepared to have to follow up.
Worst service ever. They just made the process a whole lot harder with a weird tickets system. They closed the Woden store so I have to come all the way here just to find out they are not giving tickets for people to come in. Shame on you @act goverment
Even though I had to wait for hours due to staff shortages and other access centres closed due to covid I found the Belconnan centre was a better experience than the Gungarlin centre. Also the staff were working their butts off to see as many people as possible even after 4pm.
Walked to Dickson but that centre is currently not providing services for drivers licences and eye tests. Then I went to Belconnen where I was advised of a three hour wait. I will go another time when I have an entire day to waste on getting a new licence.
I got here before opening at 9am, scanned the code for the virtual queue, and still currently waiting. It's almost 2pm, and I went back to the entrance to get an estimate on how long I still have to wait, and they said another 2-3 hours. So even if you get here before opening at 9am, you're still waiting until closing hours at 5pm.
The opening hours are terrible enough - but you had to close Gungahlin and Woden Access Canberra as well, so essentially there's only 2 servicing the whole of Canberra.
Very poor service! The staff just sit there and do nothing, very unhelpful. Wasting time will never go again!
I went in to get some details about my rego renewal. I was greeted immediately on entry by a very helpful person who asked the purpose of my visit. It was not something they could help with in store, so she got me on the phone to another very helpful person who was able to help me straight away. There was no waiting or frustration and I was in and out in not much longer than it took to leave this review.
I went there for proof of ID and she was very rude and unfriendly while i was still smiling to her and talking nicely… never going there specifically to that rude Lady
The two girls at the front of the shopfront entrance were mean never going back to this shopfront ever again
Open only during the hours people are contracted to work. Open to everyone except those that work a job. Sick
