Thanks Christi, for accommodating our large group at peak time so well. The food was excellent and staff prompt and friendly as always. Xanadu is amongst the best wineries to dine in in our beautiful south west.

5 * friendly and informative service for a delicious, locally sourced 3 course lunch and beautiful wine at a reasonable price A memorable experience.

A special anniversary for us at our nearest local winery restaurant which we don't visit often enough. We were welcomed, made to feel special and extremely well looked after. Service was prompt but certainly not rushed and the food was both well presented and delicious. With one vegetarian the kitchen was happy to adapt dishes to leave out the meat, such as the pancetta on the broccolini, making the choice even wider. All in all a great experience and one we promise to repeat again very soon. Thank you for making our day even more memorable. Mike & Bernice

Appetisers kicked off lunch well and it’s all downhill with timing from there. It look over 45 mins for mains to come through. Wait staff could’ve checked in with the kitchen on the pace or the kitchen could’ve asked if the table is ready for their mains. Dessert also took awhile to be served. Being a traveller, we are time sensitive and this has set us back quite substantially. Whilst the quality of the food was great, I was very disappointed with the dining experience.

Had our anniversary lunch here. Were greeted by a lovely "front of house" waitress who seated us. Our next server was not quite as good. I asked to taste the wine and was told to go to the cellar door to try it. We selected the wine. Entrees were good. My main meal was ok but my husband had sous vide fish which was not cooked through. Desserts not good at all. The server approached to ask about the meal and my husband said the fish wasn't cooked properly. She informed my husband that it was cooked sous vide. Sous vide doesn't mean raw and uncooked! The impression she gave was that my husband didn't know what he was talking about. (We have a sous vide machine at home) The man at the next table had the same complaint and was told by the same server that it was sous vide and that's how it's done. My husband reviewed our meal on Trip Advisor and General Manager informed him he was rude to his "hard working staff". This DID NOT happen and it was strange he wanted to blame the customer rather than address the issue at hand which was the under cooked fish.

I travel solo and really wanted the cheeseboard at the cellar door (something smallish, not a big 3/5 course set menu lunch). I was told it was for 2 people to share and they cannot put a cheeseboard together for one person. I need to buy the share board and then just not eat it all! Absolutely no attempt to help me as a single person. I thought a place of this calibre will be more accommodating, so it was a very disappointing experience.

We did the tasting and lunch. The pricing is properly pretentious of both the wine and lunch. Booze and food is pretty nice though but silly money.
Service is great. Winery is what we would expect but restaurant is well above the norm for service.

Amazing lunch time experience. Wonderful service, amazing wine and my friends and I shared out the entire 3 course menu. Has a small playground for those with children and has a great kids meal selection too. Recommend and look forward to revisiting soon.

Had a anniversary lunch here, the two course one. The drive in is pretty far, maybe 1km or more? Outside is quite simple, with some nice grasses and seating area outside. Inside was pretty elegant. All the staff are really friendly and polite. They gave us complementary sparkling wine glasses for our anniversary, that was so sweet. Their complementary bread with oil and balsamic dip was very nice, bread very soft and fluffy, but crispy outside. All foods were presented beautifully. For entree we had this octopus dish on a bed of chopped veggies, possibly pickled. While it was refreshing like eating a salad, I wasn’t wowed but the flavour of the dish. The main was beef steak, and that was cooked beautifully, I really loved the anchovy garlic sauce, just gives the right amount of saltiness even if just used a little. For dessert we tried something unique, which was this watermelon and marshmellow with sesame crisp and soy sauce. It sounds weird but the soy sauce was very subtle and gave a nice balance to the sweetness of the dish. Again, that was executed really well and we were impressed. As suggested by the staff, we also had a side of this eggplant with miso sauce. That was delicious. Overall very happy with everything, good value for the price.

Die Küche ist einsame Spitze. Der italienische Koch zaubert tolle Kreationen. Und der Wein muss genossen werden. Es lohnt sich.
Und nach dem Essen ein kleines Weintesting.

We opted for the cheese board and olives, along with our wine tasting. (Cheeseboard $38, olives $8). Wonderful experience! This is the way to conduct a cellar door tasting. Our host, Sam, was charming and she suggested our selections, based upon our wine preferences. Our wines were brought to our table in the spacious cellar door area by Sam and we were given 2 glasses each so that we could compare wines along the way. The price of our wine tasting was waived when we purchased wines. Such a civilised way to enjoy wine tasting. Would thoroughly recommend Xanadu Winery, should you be wine tasting in Margaret River.

Favourite winery in the Margaret River region by far!

Great wines, fantastic staff (very knowledgeable, passionate for winemaking, and of course lots of personality!), and a beautiful piece of land.

If you had to choose one winery to visit south of Margaret River town, it should be this one. We loved the quaint stone balcony surrounding a central lawn where you could sip wines and play rope quoits.

Lovely restaurant setting, however the food was overpriced for two courses ($69), and I was disappointed in the wait between entree and main; I believe the staff and/or kitchen actually forgot ours as about 25-30 mins waiting I enquired, to which I was informed there is usually a 30 minute wait for the beef AFTER the entree is cleared up (not from the time of order). If this is true, it would surely be printed on the menu, but instead feels like an excuse. The table beside us (party of 4) who just received their entree after ours was cleared, received their main at the same time as my fiancee and I. Ironically the beef was chewy and slightly overcooked - this picture does it more justice than in person.

Wines were great. But service experience very lacking. I'm not sure why, maybe because we were a younger couple, but the tastings were delivered with no conversation or discussion of the wines "Here's our shiraz. " and a brisk walk away from our table. Very dissapointing. If not for the service we would have purchased a dozen of the 2020 cab sav.

Fantastic dining experience here! Expertly crafted dishes made from fresh ingredients. Beautiful settings, great wines, good plenty of room for the kids to run around and outdoor activities for them too.

Food and wine was divine, service was lovely (particularly our main server Stephanie), and the overall ambience was gorgeous. We were also grateful for and impressed by how accomodating the chef was for our coeliac requirements. Overall, an absolutely stellar experience. Will definitely come back.

Walked in on Easter Sunday. Talked to the manager of the Restaurant who has been extremely rude and obviously wasn’t willing to accomodate us. I get this is a busy weekend but I have never seen in my life someone so Unfriendly in hospitality…. We were willing to spend more then $500 for a lunch….
Will never go back
