WA Building Company

We are currently dealing with Raf from WA building Company. He is really professional and knowledgeable, he has guided us through everything with patience and kept us updated at every stage. He is not pushy like our previous experiences. Also, he did proper reasearch for us to give us option to explore within our budget and plans. Overall it has been a really good experience till now. Would highly recommend Raf.

It was April 2020 when i first booked meetings with 9 different builders to discuss plans and find one that i wanted to work with.
A few months later i had found and secured the block i wanted, a few months later design plans the builder showed me were butchered to how i liked and officially drawn up, then i butchered them again some more and drawn up again to how they remained. By the end of 2020 my pad went down.
All the lockdowns and shortages in the building industry delaying the brickies for the first 4 months 2021.
Once they started each trade was sent in one after the next and every time i popped by to check it out something new had been completed.
Fast forward a few months and today, i collected my keys to the house that a year and half ago was just a 'maybe ill build a house since i cant travel' is real.

Theres still a few smaller things yet to do and also my own list of things i will get started on over the coming days/weeks but today i felt a huge happiness and milestone was achieved.

Building is not easy, its slow and must be calculated and can be frustrating and stressful at times when theres lockdowns and so on, theres always a few surprises that suck a fair few dollars away very fast too, especially coming to the end hurdle.

Overall.im very happy today, i had a great team of people involved (minus the brokers) and communications were so good from start right through every step of this past year and half.
I strongly recommend doing the hard yards at the start to find the right builder for your needs, who can deliver.

WA Building Company sure go above and beyond ticking all the boxes!

13/12/21 UPDATE - walls completed beginning November unfortunately since then nothing has happened, have been sent 2 emails advising of delays, but no date for delivery & install.so no chance of new home for Christmas
Also needed clear, written communication early in process regarding costs payable by us.been a stressful few weeks &
9/10/21 UPDATE Visited block & am seriously impressed by progress aver last week, have nearly all external walls!
4/10/21 UPDATE -Went to block and we have some walls! Given the weather last week was impressed by how much had been done.
4/9/21 UPDATE: Went to block plumbing & stuff has been done & bricks delivered. Communication from our Customer Liaision Officer has been great.

5/8/21 UPDATE: SLAB WAS LAID LAST WEEK.now waiting for next stage.

UPDATE: Had a call fom Construction Manager who was helpful, so hopefully things will start happening now, will review over coming months.

RATED LOW AT THE MOMENT FOR COMMUNICATION (this is abbreviated)

We settled 8th Feb 2021 & still no slab.

Communication with Pre-Start has been frustrating at best, slow, unresponsive & contradictory & not always received and for time sensitive documents no follow up call to make sure they had been received, all of which led to frustrating delays (it took almost 3 weeks to get amended pre-start invoice & this was only achieved after contacting another department to chase up)

Had communication been better, our build would most likely be at the same stage as the other houses they are building on adjoining streets, whose earthworks were started after ours, yet their slabs were laid in May while we were chasing amended invoice.

We had a great experience with Wa Building Company. We loved working with Reece with the early stages. He always kept in contact checking up on how we were going with the paperwork and always giving us regular updates.
Even with the building delays at the moment the time frame from when construction started to when we were handed the keys was not not unreasonable at all. The slab went down in late march and we moved in in November.
We are very happy with the quality of our house and would recommend Wa Building Company.

I would like to thanks the awesome team down at WA building company for providing me with my very first house with such an easy and painless process. Kurt hanger really set the tone making me feel comfortable and knowing i had chosen the right company for my build and providing the right design that best suited my self and the block of land he has also been an amazing help throughout the whole process, Maggie Sekula at the prestart meeting was an absolute gem providing great knowledge in designing and helping me with all accessories with in my house. Jessica Wright has been exceptionally amazing in keeping me updated with the build and providing great information with anything else involved with the build making the process seem very painless and easy. Dean was very easy going with the two PCI checks towards the end of the build and doing so sorted anything that was required so i was able to receive my keys on the required finish date. It was nice to meet Anthony for the first time and talk about the house and kindly inform me about the questions I was curious about. After that, I had a pre-start meeting with Amy. The one disappointment was that it would have been nice to have told us about other options such as other downlights for the ceiling lamp in advance. If you had told me, I would have paid to change it. Before the house was built, Jessica gave me an update on the progress, and I was very satisfied. I recently received my house key. I found a few small issues, but overall I'm very happy with it. I'm going to report on those little issues and I think they'll do a good job of fixing it. If I build a house next time, I will build another house through WA building company.

Just started the process of building our first home and they have been extremely helpful and responsive to our needs. Raf has been understanding of what our goal is and our budget. I hope the rest of the build keeps this trend.

I signed up with WA Building Company and they have been amazing every step of the way!
From Hasib looking after me and guiding me thru the process to the lovely Aiofe coming in as broker for assistance with finance and making it all so easy! Got my loan approval today so happy and thankful! I’m sure the rest of the team will be just as amazing as I move on to build and get my own home! Can’t thank you enough!

I was awaiting to write a review for the WA Building company but not on the rush.my house key was handed over September 2021, I am an Australian citizen with a Sri Lankan origin, my language is not perfect but I work hard as a trade person. I had seen my friends' houses. Most their house fittings like door handles, shower screens are filmsy, when I visit them, I am scared to use them that they may hold me responsible for breaking. As an economic immigrant I was hesitant to trust the builders, thinking that they might fool me.
My good friend Kusal introduced me Kurt Hanger, he was involved with the WA building company. A big Thank to Kurt. Even though they are sales persons, they do a job to keep the good word of mouth. Kurt arranged financing with Dave. Kurt tried his best to meet the expectations in the midst of different working organisational cultures. Thanks even to Dave from Central lending solutions.
Convincing me on a purchasing decision initially hard, Maggie had hard time with me. With the market conditions they have tough time, stressful from many ends, , Maggie was genuine. I thought that their standard products were filmsy, my preconvictions were wrong, doors handles, standard products were strong.
Jessica was feeling the stress of the market. She couldn't understand my English. Nekaya was very busy and helpful, she had a hard time with the questions, I asked from a distance. Jules, my house supervisor had done his best too in the tough market conditions. He was helpful in explaining and fixing. I didn't come and point them what to do at the time of the construction. As a buyer I left them to do their job without becoming a constant pain until the handover happened.

In summary, I can guarantee WA Building company for the immigrants ' community that their hard earned money won't be wasted. They had done a good solid strong house not just to complete but to recommend even from dad to son. My friends who visit the house, ask me, who the builder was; so they have automatically earned their marketing.
Even though I don't see WA building company boards all around with the other main builders. This builder can be trusted. They are also working hard in the tough markets to survive, but the quality is outstanding, minor errors can happen but those can happen from any builders. Doing a job to get recommendations from dad to son, is a big task. I wish my friends who had flimsy products, would have found WA building company.
As I had a huge mistrust, I hired the best building inspectors, but I could have saved that money. I wish them success to stay in the markets for a long time.

Pushy salesmen that try to rush you into signing agreement. Promise you the world and once signed, tell you that it can't be done or it will cost an an extreme amount more, despite paying extra to allow for modifications. Very accommodating when trying to get you to sign up. Once signed, very inflexible and unreachable.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I have had a lovely experience with WA Building Company and building my first home.from the time i first enquired.
Hasib also made it made it very organised and easy going also being flexible with coming after work and doing the consultations.
Hasib was alo very informative and taugh me alot with the building info and steps involved.
I would definitely recommend this comapny and also Hasib @wabuildingcompany was a great experience.
