I would suggest people go on FB onto Shonky Builders WA and read the reviews before choosing a building company.

Don’t build with WABC! (unless you want to wait 4x longer than promised for your home and be out of pocket thousands of dollars). We are over 12 months into construction and have less than 50% of our build completed.

It’s been 22 months since our contract was signed (at which meeting we were advised to expect a 9-month build). Every step of this journey has come with significant delays adding substantial stress and financial pressure. We have encountered delays due to a lack of proactive planning and problem-solving. It is disheartening to witness the disregard for scheduling and the continuous addition of further delays without any evident effort to prevent or mitigate them.

Equally distressing is the WABC’s tendency to shift blame onto external factors such as suppliers, trades, and even the government. It is inconceivable to me that other building companies are successfully completing homes in less than 10 months, while we are subjected to perpetual postponements and excuses.

The most FRUSTRATING part of this is that WABC are advertising 12-month build guarantees for new customers. I’m sorry what? ! Where’s the prioritisation for existing customers…

We won’t be recommending WABC to friends and family.

Building with WABC has been so difficult. The lack of communication, poor quality workmanship, we were made financially accountable for their mistakes during the floor planning and build - we had to quote from deep in our contract for the company to finally take some financial responsibility. The construction supervisor was patronising and tried intimidation techniques during PCI. Horrible. We were told by trades that they werent being paid enough so quality of work was slipping. Now trying to get maintenance done and it's a nightmare all over again. Do not build with this company

If I could give it zero stars I would.
Staff fail to provide accurate and honest communications.
They have over committed and are not able to complete the builders they signed up in 2021 yet are able to complete the new builds which have been signed up in 2022.
NEVER AGAIN - lesson learnt - reviews are probably written by employees

Pushy salesmen that try to rush you into signing agreement. Promise you the world and once signed, tell you that it can't be done or it will cost an an extreme amount more, despite paying extra to allow for modifications. Very accommodating when trying to get you to sign up. Once signed, very inflexible and unreachable.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Pushy sales men that push you to sign an agreement when they know you are unhappy with the plans saying ‘that can be changed at prestart’. When you start discussing the changes they add costs left right and centre. Wouldn’t get back to me regarding additions they had made regarding the local design so I did the research myself and they’d added things that weren’t required all for $$&. When questioned about the behaviour and my issues you get ignored and no responses. Told they are all reasonable people but the sale manager refuses to talk to me and the sales rep I was talking to no longer responds. Do not use these guys. Customer service is appalling.

The sales team are very good. However they leave out very important information about them having a minimum 3 month "scheduling" period before they even touch the ground.

All through the sales process including the contract signing they are telling you a 9 to 12 month build time from pad down.

All of it is a lie unless you are north of the river building.

We are currently 7 months from slab down and nearly over 10 months from settlement and all that has been completed is plate height. We have waited 5 months for a roof frame to be delivered and it is still not installed even though they updated their portal stating "your roof frame has been installed". The materials are still sitting on the ground.

When you see other WABC builds flying up and ask the question you are met with "back end of the boom" excuses and that the trades are not willing to travel for work etc.

If you are in the position to choose another builder I would recommend you do so.

13/12/21 UPDATE - walls completed beginning November unfortunately since then nothing has happened, have been sent 2 emails advising of delays, but no date for delivery & install.so no chance of new home for Christmas
Also needed clear, written communication early in process regarding costs payable by us.been a stressful few weeks &
9/10/21 UPDATE Visited block & am seriously impressed by progress aver last week, have nearly all external walls!
4/10/21 UPDATE -Went to block and we have some walls! Given the weather last week was impressed by how much had been done.
4/9/21 UPDATE: Went to block plumbing & stuff has been done & bricks delivered. Communication from our Customer Liaision Officer has been great.

5/8/21 UPDATE: SLAB WAS LAID LAST WEEK.now waiting for next stage.

UPDATE: Had a call fom Construction Manager who was helpful, so hopefully things will start happening now, will review over coming months.

RATED LOW AT THE MOMENT FOR COMMUNICATION (this is abbreviated)

We settled 8th Feb 2021 & still no slab.

Communication with Pre-Start has been frustrating at best, slow, unresponsive & contradictory & not always received and for time sensitive documents no follow up call to make sure they had been received, all of which led to frustrating delays (it took almost 3 weeks to get amended pre-start invoice & this was only achieved after contacting another department to chase up)

Had communication been better, our build would most likely be at the same stage as the other houses they are building on adjoining streets, whose earthworks were started after ours, yet their slabs were laid in May while we were chasing amended invoice.

It was nice to meet Anthony for the first time and talk about the house and kindly inform me about the questions I was curious about. After that, I had a pre-start meeting with Amy. The one disappointment was that it would have been nice to have told us about other options such as other downlights for the ceiling lamp in advance. If you had told me, I would have paid to change it. Before the house was built, Jessica gave me an update on the progress, and I was very satisfied. I recently received my house key. I found a few small issues, but overall I'm very happy with it. I'm going to report on those little issues and I think they'll do a good job of fixing it. If I build a house next time, I will build another house through WA building company.

In 2016 I purchased off the plan a 3 by 2 from WA Building. From the start all aspects of construction were professionally handled by WA Building. Hand over of the property was seamless and an enjoyable experience. Thankyou WA Building Company.

Extremely easy build process. Fittings were wonderful throughout and I would recommend for first home buyers and investors

Process was painless and the response to any issues was dealt with promptly. I can recommend WA Building with confidence.

Moh has done a great job answering all of my questions in a timely manner. He helped me find the perfect block for my home. Signing with WA building company has been a very smooth and enjoyable experience. Make sure you ask for Moh when you are getting started.

Big shout out to Johnathon who guided us from acquiring our plot of land to designing our first home and also setting us up with the financial side as well.
Top bloke, extremely knowledgeable and above all will make the whole process easy and enjoyable.

Just got keys to our new home built by WABC.
From day one with meeting our sales rep Johnathon, weve had a pretty smooth build. Which we were happy with.
John was super informative and knowledgeable and always willing to help where he could and always with a smile on his face.
We found when we raised questions in regards to anything we always got a response that day by Olivia our Client Liason, and if she didnt have the answers she would always find out for us and genuinely felt like she cared.
Being in the industry we understood that there were going to be delays so our timeline was14 months from slab down to practical completion. Although we hoped it would be sooner we are just happy we are in before Christmas!
Workmanship overall has been good and anything we saw along the way that wasn't up to standard, we questioned a nd it was rectified.

Now we can enjoy our new home for the Christmas break.

I recently moved into my new house built with WA Building. Hasib was exceptional I'm thoroughly impressed, he did his best to find a land and house package that I wanted. His expertise, professionalism, and friendly approach made the entire process seamless. The team was great! I highly recommend their services.

Highly recommend WA Building company. Myself and my husband have been working with David, I was very unsure at the start but felt totally comfortable with David. He worked with us to get everything we wanted in a home for ourselves and our 5 children within our budget. We couldn't be happier and can't recommend David enough, he was easy to deal with, explained everything to us in an easy to understand way and answed all our tough questions. Highly recommend. I came into our building process not wanting to do it at all! After meeting with Moh & WA Building Company its safe to say he's fixed every concern I ever had. Moh has been more than attentive to our house process, making sure we're well informed on our decisions and pushing for us to get the best we can! Finally feels like someone is fighting for buyers in this crazy house market. Can't recommend what the company offers & Moh high enough!
