Grand Cinemas Warwick reviews
69 First time going to Hoyts Warwick after quite a while. Just saw movie, 'Sound of Freedom', it's a good cinema, very clean and plenty of space.
Movie was also superb, best one I've seen in a while.
It is to ecpencive lollys food at a very. High price will not be going again. Seats very good
Went to see the 3.20 pm session of Barbie on Wed 16th Aug with 2 others.
Walked into Xtreemscreen 09,
The theatre was dark at about 3.10pm we needed to turn on torch lights from our phones to see plus Xtreemscreen 09 was filthy, popcorn and cups everywhere. Then I noticed on the seat next to me, there was a ticket from a 10am /10.30am session, obviously wasnt cleaned.
Very disappointed went to see Miracle Club today as i had received an email stating first session today 16/8 would only be $9.50 and was told as it was a recliner session it would cost $12.
I replied this was false advertising and left the cinema
Worst cinema I've been to. Ever. Went to see a 3D movie, there were maybe 5 other people in sight. The movie started, and the screen started shaking to the point of it being unwatchable. I mentioned it to the girls at the candy bar / front desk, who were just sitting there apathetically. Eventually a manager adjusted the film, but it was still shaking and was borderline giving me a migraine. They tried to palm it off, and quite bluntly told me "that's just how 3D is". I've been to 3D movies in the past, and it definitely isn't. I ended up waiting until the next showing on a standard screen shortly after, however I had to leave again because a mum let her 4 kids run around the cinema playing and screaming. The mum obviously didn't care so I got up and left, and asked for my money back. Not once did anyone come in to check on the film, despite the girls at the front looking bored out of their brains with nothing to do. The second cinema I went into was also filthy, with popcorn all over the seats from the previous movie.
Epitome of laziness and entitlement. Zero care factor. Wouldn't waste my money or time going here again. Honestly, the girls there should be fired. It seems from other reviews that the girls there are consistently rude, dismissive and apathetic. If you don't want to work, then you don't deserve a job.
Had an issue buying tickets online where the tickets didn’t send but I was charged. Happened twice as I was redirected to the payment screen the first time before receiving an insufficient funds notice the second time - turns out the payments had processed despite the error. I’m trying to get in touch with Hoyts as the session is in an hour but I’m unable to get in touch with anybody from their contact centre nor directly with the location. I’m in a dilemma as I can’t just buy another ticket online because I’ve got 2 sets of tickets pending and will likely receive the same error a third attempt. I don’t want to just show up and not get a seat and waste more time either. Can’t believe I’ve found myself in a closed loop of issues with a company as big as Hoyts.
Nice comfortable recliner seats, charged $19.50 for senior ticket when huge big sign read $9.50, I did query it but was told NO $19.50 was the price.
Really tried stuffing the Hoyt's membership down my throat. They left the flood lights on for the first 5 minutes of the movie too, lol. $27.50 for adult.
The cinema with the reclining lounge seats is very comfortable for those that do not want to shell out on Gold Class.
Overall great venue.
The Food was not nice at all, The Entree was overcooked, and the main was mainly batter-
I order the Same thing Everytime we visit the Gold Lounge (We have a Membership)
But when we advised of the food issue. We got an Apology, and we'll let the Chef know speech.
No Refund or Compensation, for food that is more than just Cafe prices, but not that edible was offered.
Great cinema, loving the Recliner chairs, toilets are clean and I had the whole cinema to myself today.
Gold class we have experienced many times with great staff, service and food even though its well overpriced (food & drinks) but the last two times we went the air con was set way too cold and the food on our last visit was even colder than the air con which was very dissappointing.
We will go again but we will skip any food from them in any future visits plus bring jackets (re: the air con)
Why are the theatres so cold, I have to take a rug with me at Warwick and Currambine, my grandkids were also freezing, complaining to me feeling cold.
Wonderful Gold Class with excellent service and nice food. The platter to share was great value.
Aircon pumping 18C° to make us freeze and no break to go to the toilet in a 2.5 hrs film.
This is not the best considering the prices.
Manager is happy to medically discriminate who they choose, will never go to this cinema again!
Cinema 9 was deafeningly loud, to the point of needing to block my ears. I shouldn't have to bring earplugs to the cinema to enjoy a movie, but I sure needed them. I'll never return to watch another movie there again, no wonder cinemas are dying when you treat them to an experience like that
Lovel going to the movies. Went with daughters to see a movie and first time experiencing the recliner seats. Cost $26 and was definitely more comfortable but maybe too comfortable coz you could easily nod off lol. Of course had to partake of a choc bomb and popcorn which was delicious. Love that you can still sit where you want too no having to sit in a certain seat.
Not the most flash cinema complex around, but decent enough. Once you're in Gold Class it's pretty nice.good service, staff were all friendly, decent drinks. Some staff aren't great at making some of the cocktails they sell, but you wouldn't really expect that.you're at a bloody suburban cinema!
It's a shame to see the affects of the waning interest in movie theatres, but this is a peach of a cinema. I've watched several movies here in the last few months, and every time am pleasantly surprised at the facilities, and very efficient and helpful staff. Recommended!
