For the most part the Dome Cafe on Rottnest Island is as good as any in Perth.but I would caution customers against choosing the Avocado Stack first thing in the morning. On a recent visit I ordered this meal, the Poached Eggs were cold, the Sourdough toast was so hard it could barely be cut with a knife and other members in the party received cold or at best luke warm dishes. The majority of the staff we encountered were friendly.

Beautifully served hot soup. Girls you made my day. Always had a smile on your face. For your effort I give you 3000 stars.

We visited for breakfast around 8am. The coffee was good. Poached egg dishes were well cooked. The sausage wasn’t chorizo (which is good imho) and the bacon was tasty and well cooked. Prices weren’t too bad either.

The food came out quickly. The staff were friendly. Great views and you don’t get attached by wildlife when sitting under their veranda.

I thought it deserved more than the three stars it is currently rated.

It is a Dome. We went for dinner and it was nice. The Chef is from Sri Lanka and when he is allowed (yes Dome head office, get on board!) to really cook, it is sublime and needs to be encouraged.

The night we went, we had booked, we arrived only to be told they were closing. As a business decision, we got it, however, as a booked customer, you don't do that. The owner (urgh, nothing nice to say about him) had not called us to inform us, so. No way! We had a lovely meal, the chef made sure we were looked after. He did a great job of cross selling and upselling (take note owner and staff) and ensured we had a lovely time. We are quick customers, always have been.

Staff.they need training in so many aspects of customer service and sequence of service and how to smile. The owner (franchisee) needs a personality change, and that's the nicest thing I can say about him.

It is better than Thompson's by a country mile and a such, the franchisee would be well advised to fight to have better dishes on the menu, playing to the chef's natural strengths. That is where you make more money, much more money.

Cold food. Wrong milk order for all 4 of us.
Only busy because of the location and somewhat of a monopoly.
Try and avoid.
Staff were lovely though.

Dome cafe in Rottnest when I visited around 10am was extremely busy however seeing how busy it was the staff were excellent and service was prompt. Typical Dome design. They have indoor and outdoor seating, ceiling fans, air con and heating. Very popular for breakfast and lunches.

Food portions were too small and the waiter just dumps the plates on our table without saying anything

Great customer service! The staff were very friendly and did well behind the counter. The food was delicious except my chips were overcooked. I'm giving it 4/5 stars because most of the tables hadn't been cleared for new customers, and the toilets smelt horrendous!

Long queue out the door and then staff emptied cafe at 11am saying food orders would be 40 minute wait because one tables large order.
Long delay between coffee and cookie arriving. Why not bring together? Had to get it myself. Very unfriendly staff member literally bashed it out at me.

WOW, the restraint was really busy just before 12 noon, but the staff were very efficient at getting orders taken and meals out to customers. We had a couple of gluten-free requirements within our order which were easily accommodated. All four meals were great. The service at Some Rottnest exceeds that of many franchises on the mainland.

Customer service and coffees were great however the kitchen needs to get their act together, i ordered bacon and eggs and the bacon was not cooked with eggs that were just as raw, very dissappointing as i sent it back to have the same plate come back out with absolutely no changes. Absolutely shocking.

Chips came out cold however the did replace them straight away. Not much choice in terms of eating out in rotto but dome is good enough

The photos on the menu do not represent the meal that is actually served to you. We ordered a big breakfast which had beans in the photo, but we were not served beans. The steak sandwich had a measly, thin, and dry slice of ‘steak’ as opposed to a proper steak (as per the photo in the menu). All the food came out at different times. All in all, it was a really unsatisfactory experience.

They could not organise a pissup in a brewery.
Surely management know their busy peaks and troughs but still they understaff making it take too long to order. Not a good impression for one of Perth's biggest tourist destinations.

Went to the cafe for 3pm and asked for a scone and a cup of tea! The staff member said in a very abrupt voice, Kitchen is closed, I replied it’s a scone with cream and jam and a cup of tea, the lady replies you can grab a soft drink out of the fridge.

We left and I will no never use any Dome due to the lack of customer service!

My husband and I went to the Dome at Rottnest for breakfast and was very disappointed with our meals. My PESTO MUSHROOMS ON CIABATTA TOAST was cold. The toast or more like bread was soggy and also no feta was available, but still was charged the usual price. My husband had the HAM EGGS HOLLANDAISE and found the hollandaise had no taste at all. We felt so sorry for the waitress as she had that many complaints in one week. A suggestion to the owner, if you want to keep your patrons you need to look at your head chef.

Delayed service and staff who do not accept this. I saw them laughing at an Asian guy who was angry because order was delayed by 40 minutes. He was frustrated saying we are hungry and when he turned back staffs were looking at each other and laughing.

Horrible customer service. Asked nicely about soups available and how quick it can be served, and the cashier rudely shot at us if we even looked at the menu? Please learn some manners.

Waited 20mins simply to order food at 1: 45pm. Then another 45mins for order to arrive with stone cold chips and a couple of pulled pork sliders the size of a 50c piece. Not the greatest dining experience out there!
