86Obviously Monday is not a good choice of day. A two hour delay! Had a battle to convince the lady it was really a simple matter to pay for, but not organise a driving licence retest.
Very busy. Need to pick your time/day that you go.
Anything that you can do online - best to.
Long queues + wait times. For some services people were waiting 30-60 mins (driving test ppl were waiting 1+ hours).
One positive that I experienced. Service person that greeted you - she helped me choose exactly what I needed to streamline process.
I was in/out in 20 mins (for something which I could've done 100% online).
Lastly.
Be aware of parking - if you have even a semi-decent car (+ don't want dents).
Midland + driving newbies, combined = argh!
Some of the cars in carpark. Worst parking I've seen in Midland. Obviously they have no clue what a "white line" is.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Wait time wasn't too bad considering they were busy.
I passed my PDA from the first attempt. I was a bit nervous to start with the test. But, I did my basics right and it rewarded me.
There is no point of blaming the assessors when you fail the PDA. They are there to assess our ability of driving and not to fail anyone.
Good luck to everyone who will be doing their PDAs in the future.
The Quality of service has very much improved over the years at the Midland branch. Customer service very much enhanced by the two ladies that recently I had dealings with, both Sarah and Joslin are absolute gems and go out of their way to personally assist customers. An asset to the branch. Nominated for employee’s of the month. Steve Gilmour.
Absolutely impressed with the quality of customer service at this centre. A big shout out to Ms Mimi who helped me sort out my driver license registration which wasn’t a easy task but she took time and helped me get it sorted. Highly recommend this centre & the staff who were truly amazing & helpful.
It's an easy place to come, clean and tidy and staff are courteous. It does get busy.
Avoid this DOT for driving assessments as much as humanly possible. From past experiences all of the assessor’s that I have had including most recent Assessor 2314 has no way of taking it easy on learner drivers. Completely deteriorated my confidence and will most certainly never take a test here again nor recommend here at all. If I could I would give it -5 stars.
Norleen the lady accessor at DVS midland she is so well and humble with her job. She was my accessor for PDA today and I had such a nice experience with her. I thought why didn't I come to this center before as I got failed few times in mirrabooka.
Good facility, nice chairs and lovely staff. Incredibly busy, dont underestimate how long you'll be waiting for. I arrived at 7am, doors open at 8.15am, there was already 4 people waiting. By the time doors opened the line was 25-30 people deep out into the car park. The clerks though are doing their best and are really helpful. Please have patience as everyone is in the same boat just waiting to be served.
Helpful friendly staff that do a great job while under a heavy workload. You just have to be patient and expect to wait awhile. The number system works well.
Slow and boring: (Departed early as have better things to do presently. After all had 15 in front of me as took 30 minutes to be one less - do the maths?
Lady assessor too strict they will try to trick you on a railway. Changed my time booking without any notification, diffirent information coming from each individual in Midland office.
Moved from QLD to WA hold a current QLD driving licence but to change we need a birth certificate plus marriage certificate even though we are born Australian and have proof of residency. Our stuff is in storeage for a year this doesn't make sense.
Fair enough you have to wait along time. It's very busy, it's absolutely disgusting that they have no toilet facilities and no public toilets close by.
Not bad apart from the wait as soon as I got to the counter the fella helped me and it was sorted out in no time, probably ten minutes or less.
Brilliant service and wait time with very helpful staff who take the time to help with even the smallest if detail
I had a friend who passed their PDA test first try here despite the fact that he turned without signalling, ran a stop sign and openly admitted he couldn’t reverse park to the assessor, yet I’m failed on my 3rd test for missing a direction, not ‘attempting’ to avoid a pothole and not pulling over fast enough, everything else was perfect scores. My assessor was lovely, was willing to chat and I didn’t feel nervous although just be aware they will use anything to get points off your score, I think they’re trained to nitpick even the tiniest things. I do recommend it if you know the area though, just go in with the knowledge that even a minor mistake is a reason for them to fail you.
I have no complaints at all. The lady assessing me gave clear instructions, was polite and considerate before, during and after the test. The traffic was heavy, I made some mistakes, however she kept giving me instructions in a proper manner, without making me feel uncomfortable at any time. I would say that knowing the area before the test is key, since it's full of railway crossings, roundabouts, bike lanes, schools, etc. Also keep a respectful and humble attitude, because assessors are doing their job and it doesn't entail babysit or teach us anything. Respect goes both ways!
Clerk Alle at counter 1 raised her voice towards me infront of other customers before I could even finish my sentence she yelled out go away multiple times, felt very humiliated this behaviour is totally unacceptable. Would kindly advise management to explain to her the importance of treating people with respect as customer service is important.
Kind regards,
