Pullman Melbourne Albert Park reviews
97Dated but functional rooms in a good location. Walking distance to St. Kilda. Tram stops just behind the hotel.
Very friendly staff, bit annoying that I was charged to borrow a wall charger as other hotels I have been to do not do this. Lovely view of Albert Park, super easy, pleasant and close walk to shops like woolworths and the tram line going into arts precinct and cbd.
This is a nice hotel that links in with the Pullman. You can however, see that it's an older hotel and probably needs a major refurbishment. The breakfast was great and really good food, however there was a large conference group who all arrived at the same time, so had to wait in line for some items such as the toaster, and coffee machine. Overall though a good location, good service and good food.
Ok place. They took an extra $50 deposit in case I ordered room service which I did not want. They refund it of course however it is annoying to have the money out of your account for several days. I would not have complained if they had not accidentally wacked my card twice for the room (which was $120). They immediately refunded and apologised but they should be more careful not to make this mistake. Cafe was very expensive and over priced. These are some small potential improvements to service management should be made aware of.
I'm not sure which part of the hotel does these pictures represent but definitely not the room we stayed in! The pictures of the rooms on their website are very deceiving and don't really match the room provided. We stayed on the 5th floor and were very surprised how could this be a 5 star hotel! Now I regret not taking pictures but the furniture is old and shower/tiles are even worse! Those nice lighting fixtures next to the bed in their pictures don't even exist in real life. We could hear fan like sounds in our room all night. Found dust and dead spider next to coffee machine. Pool was cold with zero chairs to sit on except for 2 wooden benches. Parking is ridiculous were you have to pay 20$ every time you get out of carpark or 45$ daily and you can go in/out as much as you want.
Room was spacious, lots of towels were provided in the room, bed was very comfortable and breakfast buffet was okay. We've only stayed at 5 star hotels before and this is definitely not up to the standards. I, personally, would never return.
**EDIT: The valet man asked for $45.00 for multi entry valet parking and not $35.00, maybe you should investigate where is the extra $10 going.
Mercure Melbourne Albert Park is located on Queens road. Excellent hotel with comfortable spacious well appointed rooms. The staff are friendly and attentive. There is an excellent restaurant serving breakfast and dinner, called Windows. There is also a bar and a coffee shop. The hotel has an indoor pool and gym.
Great place to stay but staff didnt seem interested with what we needed probaly cause we had to children with us
Walls are paper thin. Some of the staff are rude. The vallet makes you feel like you are putting them out. Rooms are very dated and barebones.
We had a cheap room and didn't book directly so take that into account. Most of the staff were lovely with the exception of the more senior members in the windows restaurant. Pool was absolutely freezing and not really usable. They should really remove the word premium from the 'Premium Twin Room'. It is comfortable until you start hearing your neighbours moan all night. The walls are paper thin. Facilities are dated. And if you want that hotel charm that makes you feel a little more special for the duration of your stay, choose elsewhere. This is a motel at best. Never again.
Nice venue with very large function hall. The lobby where people eat and chat was a bit blinding, essentially facing the outside sun on one side, since it has a window for a wall.
Very impressed as wife was in The Alfred Hospital they were extremely accommodating and it was a short pleasant walk to visit her
The actual room was ok but could hear the guests in room next door. The bathroom was old and tub was dirty and rusty with the toilet right beside the shower. Buffet breakfast needs work. Coffee was terrible
Stayed two nights for a business conference, great location, good rooms, great facilities. Only issues with room were showerhead too low (poor design) and couldn't get room window to shut. Bars and cafe were great along with conference rooms. Food in the restaurant could have been better for the price but the buffet breakfast was very good.
Rooms were good. Clean and tidy. Reception staff were friendly and professional Great location just outside main city with a short uber ride in was very convenient. Will be staying again next time im in Melbourne
Luxury and excellence in customer service make The Pullman Melbourne ideal for corporate events Queens Rd is always busy the driveway and parking are both easy access and it's a few metres walk to beautiful Albert Park Lake
Went for a valedictory dinner. Well organized, great gathering with not and one tears. The food was good.
Very old rooms, no proper shower (shower is in bathtub) very smelly and stained room. Only upside were the beds. They were very comfortable. Location was about a 7 min drive out of the city. But very far to walk anywhere. A few nice Cafés close by for breakfast. Would not recommend to any of my friends.
Unsure why you have such a demanding valet service. Almost tried to make me pay while we checked in because we were longer than 5 mins.
I've never stayed here but went to a convention at this hotel. The Cafe downstairs, wow. 20 bucks for a bit of banana bread, a small coke and croissant. The chick serving, served my mate, completely ignore me in the queue to serve the woman who turned up after me. Her attitude was so fake and insincere. Really should not have been in a customer facing role at all. What a sour personality. I hope the hotel is nicer than what I've experienced but to be honest, it only takes one bad experience to leave a bad taste in my mouth.
This isn't included underground parking and a three course evening meal with drinks included, so I enjoyed myself in good company.
