Pullman Melbourne Albert Park reviews
97Emma has made our stay more than comfortable. She went out of her way to assist. She is an asset to Accor. Sincerely wish her the very best.
Good location opposite the Albert Park lake but a little noisy with traffic noise. Rooms were fine for the price and service quite good too
Stayed at the Pullman before and good but the Mercure is in need of a a good makeover. Cracked and dirty grout with mould in the tiles in the bathroom. Very disappointed. Looking very tired and dated
Such an unpleasant experience. In the hallway the ceiling is too low, the lights are too sharp downlights everywhere, in my room 5321 it was too noisy to sleep, the sound was coming from everywhere and it was like an old really noisy fridge sound but louder, you know, a king of hamming noise. In the morning, I realised I forget a hair brush an there was no complement one. There was no toothbrush eather. But on the good side - it was warm and there was tea, wifi, hot water in a shower and soft bed with clean sheets.
Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff and bell girl. Strategic location, easy to commute to the city and go around as the tram stop just behind the hotel. Good place to stay for those who love jogging as there is a lake across the street from the hotel. Breakfast, gym, wifi and pool available.
Not wanting to be too negative but the rooms are soooo dated and because of this seem dirty. We also had to ask housekeeping numerous times for toilet paper and tissues as they weren't replaced. The mercure shares space and concierge with the Pullman and it's seems as though the mercure is the grottier of the two. On a positive note the breakfast was varied and of good quality and concierge was helpful and friendly but yet again these were both on the "Pullman side"
Very old hotel. Bed was uncomfortable and there was no water provided in the room too. But the room is spacious, which is great. Overall, not the best experience.
Room 4317,4th floor, tower 1. Easter, 2019.booked in as part of a very big group coming from all over Australia.
Bed. 2 pushed together makes a big bed, unfortunately not made up accordingly, single sheet base, covered the top half of the bed only, no full-size sheets at all, single sheet & quilt top, didn't reach to the sides of the bed. I turned these sideways so I could tuck them in.no quilt covers.
Fridge.defrosted twice in the 4 days we were there.not the first time either by the looks of the rotten timber cabinet that it's in.
Taps. 1 broken.plumbing screamed when we turned the taps on.
Tiles around bathtub/shower were dirty/mouldy? Base of bath badly worn, very rough to stand on.
Drawer. (beneath case shelf) had no backboard.when clothing was placed into it, & pulled open, the clothes fell out the back of it.
TV.wouldn't work.nice staff lady tried to fix. I thought maybe remote may have needed new batteries, she said she'd get maintenance to come.at the end of the day when we returned, it still didn't work. I replaced batteries with those from my torch.all worked.got 2 back from desk.
Kettle. Covered in thick dust.
Curtains.perished & torn.
I have photos.it's obvious that the rooms we were in are rarely booked, but someone should be checking the rooms before people arrive.they just aren't maintained.
It is what it is.could be a nice place if it was kept up to a much better standard, but paid $200 p/n.booked before Christmas, & quite simply.just worth nowhere near that.
Breakfast was really great.
Dirty and false advertising. I saw a photo of the room we booked with a beautiful view of the lake, and we got cars. The shower was filthy, mould in the corner. The cupboard wouldn't stay shut and I banged my leg against it numerous times. <br/>Good points: the breakfast, friendly staff and easy access to the city
Always fabulous. Serious great breaky very nice. Spa lovely and warm. Gym well equipped. Nice walk around the lake. Not in the middle of Melbourne but there is Uber or taxis or teams in the street behind.
Another wonderful Pullman location with great rooms and conference seating large enough for a few hundred people. The staff were very cordial and attentive to everyone's needs. The catering was fantastic, leaving everyone hanging out for morning and afternoon tea.
Very convenient place to stop whilst visiting Melbourne. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.
The room is cold, dark and old! Very poorly maintained with dirty carpet, holes in the wall the have been filled but not painted over. Zero USB ports and no power points near the bed to charge your phone! The food is undercooked and horrible! For the price we paid to stay here for the weekend we were expecting a much nicer hotel! We’d never stay here again
Let the interstate people down who had been assured occupancy on same floor for the easter weekend.as a group
Tiny extremely old room with mouldy shower, this hotel needs to desperately be refurbished. Mould in the shower and a very pokey bathroom. I stayed on my own which was lucky as the room was tiny. I was right next to the lift so could hear it all night. I expect better from the Accor hotel group. I have stayed in many hotels both in Melbourne and across Australia as I travel for work, that cost less, may have been a similar size but still pleasant and showed some care in there product making for a much more comfortable stay. I am very disappointed. One good note are the staff are so so friendly and very accommodating, we had a work function at this hotel which was meticulously managed with integrity and quality, the staff are so helpful and generally seem invested in making sure your needs are met. The rooms need to be stepped up!
Amazing Hotel by the Albert Park, wonderful view of the lake. Exceptional service, quality food and modern rooms.
Far from other places. AC was to hot or to cold. Could not set it in condition that I prefered. It didnt work.
2 stars for nice venue and staff.we came here for a function.pre ordered vegeterian was awful.cottage cheese on asparagus for entree, pumpkin and crunchy kale risotto for mains.not what you expect for a formal event.
Nice place to stay but, there was too much dust in the room. Their housekeeping should learn how to vacuum thoroughly each day!
First time staying at this hotel, in the Mercure section. Check in was easy and Elveni was pleasant and efficient. Recognised as Accor Plus Platinum member, and told I was upgraded to a Park View Room. That's nice, but the windows were so dirty it was like looking through fog. Room comfortable and clean, served it's purpose. However, shower pressure wasn't great and temperature went from steaming hot to freezing cold. Mentioned it to front desk staff after first night, but nothing changed the next day. Also mentioned it on check out - at least the staff made a note this time. Room service was efficient and decent quality. Breakfast a nice range and it's pleasing to be offered a barista-made coffee upon entering the restaurant for breakfast. Parking is a rort - $20 for single entry or $35 for valet. So, if I arrive at the hotel and self-park, it's $20. If, later in the evening, plans confirm, or I decide to go out to get food, I have to pay $20 to exit, and then another $20 when I come back and park again. This is really inefficient and not in the guests' favour. If people change their minds, or have plans confirm at short notice, then they are penalised. To be charged $35 for overnight parking at a suburban hotel ourside of the CBD is really off-putting and adds a lot to the room rate. Because of this, the shower and the lack of view I will probably try another Accor Hotel next time I am in town.
