Monash Medical Centre reviews
90 Bad response from staff bad side manner arrogant and too many
Excuses gambling a human life
Had to rush over for stomach pain. They did blood tests and gave me painkillers for pain also checked my urine sample with all clear. Good work and thank you
L gave birth a baby girl by C section on last 13/02/21 in monash clayton. Doctors were really good and the midwife "Jason" He was really fantastic and helpful person.l was really happy. Really good person! Thank you so much Jason. If the hospital had more persons like him thats would be great!
Had to leave despite suffering from an asthma attack, was sitting on a chair for hours while struggling to breath, nurse was just giving me instructions from her station, no care for privacy, had to leave after 3 hours not knowing what was happening and drove myself home (no one noticed me leaving!) they didn;t even offer a nebuliseur, went the next day to my local clinic got the best care ever sorry this shouldn;t happen in a first world hospital, communication and care are key to good management,
Night shift staff at the emergency is rude and unprofessional/ chatting and laughing with colleagues, eating lollies/ girl confirming details asked a personal question which was not related to the emergency and had nothing to do with health.
Pure racism! 10: 20pm 14-12-2018
Extremely disappointed and dishearted
Came in and was told that I would have to wait 6 hours for treatment. Pretty disgusted by how poorly they attend to patients in emergency. There was an elderly man next to me who clearly needed treatment yet was still denied swift treatment. Patients shouldn’t wait 6 hours for treatment.
MONASH MEDICAL CENTRE COMPETES WITH THE ROYAL MELBOURNE HOSPITAL FOR BEST IN CLASS STATUS
Both are very busy tertiary hospitals with many specialities. The key point of difference is that Royal Melbourne is primarily a University of Melbourne affiliate and Monash a Monash University affiliate. Both offer world class services and both undertake cutting edge research.
I had both of my babies here and absolutely loved them! I can’t talk highly enough of the midwives and doctors at Monash their quick work to help my daughter and pump her lungs, to the support of the young women’s clinic, with the midwife getting me to express milk whilst in labour (that was extremely helpful as I ended up in ICU with the birth of my son and because of that midwife he never had to have formula) and the quick thinking anaesthetist who I still remember comforting me before going to sleep and then came in the next day to make sure I was ok. You guys are amazing I can’t thank you enough. Lots of love Tom, Taila, Kobii and Kaison
11 hours after taking my mum to emergency with a broken wrist, times heals faster than this experience. I'd try somewhere else if you can!
I've been waiting for 4 hours now. My abdominal pain has only been increasing. I came to emergency to be treated quickly but I've been told I might need to wait for more than 6 hours. A woman beside me collapsed while waiting. Pathetic. DO NOT COME HERE FOR EMERGENCY CASES. You might end up dying.
My husband has high blood pressure and had a deep pain on the side of his neck and jaw Monday night. He could have been having a heart attack. We were advised to go to Monash Medical Centre Emergency by Nurse On Call. 7.5 hours for a basic ECG and blood test and he still hadn't seen a Doctor. That could take another 2 hours we were told. We got the triage nurse to give us the results so we could leave but not before signing a waver removing them from any responsibility. One lovely couple we spoke to had been there 10 hours. More busy on a Monday night? Then put more Doctors on the roster. No one should have to wait 10 hours for medical attention. Appalling Monash Medical!
Me, my brother and my cousin were all born here. My little brother was born there in March 2016. The service was good but my mum said in that little Ronaldmcdonald thing there was a rude staff member never found out her name though lol. I miss the days when we used to go visit him there however he was born at 26 weeks and 5 days super early!
Months of symptoms collectively pointing to pre eclampsia and still they aren't doing anything about it.
Casey and Dandenong are even worse.
Shocking parking but great medical staff from admin to doctor.
Misdiagnosed chicken pox at two doctors. Doctor here diagnosed straight away. Minimal waiting time
The nurse in the ICU was very rude (Miranda I think her name was). After visiting my grandfather a day after his open heart surgery I was having a look to see how he was, there was a large board of his heartrate statistics and whatever other info right next to him and I was seeing if he was alright since the surgery. The nurse promptly told me to to move away and then kicked me out of the ICU. Would not come here if my life depended on it.
Food is very expensive and not fresh, paid $39 for 2 burgers, 2 serves of chips and 2 bottles of water. Absolute rip!
DONT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS! I cannot believe how negative these reviews are. I had a procedure down here & it everything was fantastic. Frances, Gary and Bernadette were wonderful. Thanks so much guys!
We waited for more then 2 hours before we decided to move out from there without meeting any Doctor, think 100 times before going there in an emergency.
Wouldn't recommend if you are in urgent need of care. Their "emergency" makes you wait. 7+hours before you even see anyone
They do some good work there, been to emergency several times and we had one of our kids there, very positive experiences. Ignore the whingers)
