La Camera Southgate

Wonderful setting looking across the river. Disappointed that when I ordered the fish special, I was not advised to order a side. For a main course it was no bigger in size than an entrée.

Never disappointed in La Camera. We had a light meal on a busy Saturday night and our food was quick and delicious. They even have vegan options now, which is awesome!

Food averages, service extremely poor. Even though around Australian open it wasn't busy so there was no excuse and unfortunately young waitress had difficulty understanding our order.

I attended my colleague’s retirement lunch and he suggested La Camera, the service is lovely and the food is delicious. I ordered the grilled meat with salad with steamed green beans and roared pumpkin. It is the first time I tasted this kind of food which is different from the standard Italian food.

Incompetents! They manage to melt an ice cream cake, sneakely try to serve it before it was completely in liquid state and the manager was not even try to compensate for the HUGE mistake, considering it was for a 18th birthday! They have also tried to charge us for "cakage". I'm actually surprised these baffons are still in business!

La Camera has been in Southbank for many many years. It was always good but I can say it has increased in service, quality of food and particularly authenticity to the Italian cuisine.

A weekend lunch with my mother saw us enjoy an amazing spread of delicious handmade food - from an excellent seafood linguine to a wonderful antipasti spread from meats to arancini. There was a wonderful selection of wines and the staff were all gracious, courteous, and attentive to our needs.

We popped in for a late night dinner after a show, and were happy to see that the restaurant was in full swing. We ordered the barramundi and roast lamb which were both delicious, light and healthy. The wait staff were attentive and our meals came out promptly. Overall, very happy with our visit.

Very disappointed. ️️️ I found cooked plastic in my main meal. The entree took 45 minutes and we waited for an hour for our main other than that the place was lovely and staff were friendly.
