Been going here for years, every time the food is spot on delicious. The waiters are always friendly and accommodating and the view one of the best in Melbourne. Thank you

Great food and atmosphere coupled with fat and friendly service. Carbonara was great! Very happy customers and we will definitely be back again.

Fantastic venue, service, food and wine. We had a family dinner to celebrate a milestone birthday on the balcony with the beautiful night river view. Amazing, thank you to the restaurant staff for a great night!

Quick service, convenient location and a good selection of food with wine to suit (by the glass or bottle)

I was expecting a better experience but it was ok. The food was more like pub meals as there wasn’t anything special about any of our meals. The decor looked dated and staff were a little undertrained. It was a shame because the location and view was brilliant.

I’ve been there a few times. Mains overall are good, but on the pricey side, however desserts are delicious and worth it

Good food, classic Italian, good wine list, sometimes service is lacking when they are busy. Coffee is excellent Desserts are also their speciality!

The spaghetti puttanesca was sadly, a joke. It was a bunch of spaghetti tossed around in copious amounts of oil with diced olives and tomatoes that looked like they were straight from a Subway salad bar. There were pools of oil at the bottom of the dish. To charge restaurant prices for that is a disgrace to the Italian community of Melbourne. Learn how to make proper Italian food or adjust your prices accordingly. My advice to punters - don’t bother with this joint unless you want to be severely disappointed.

I’ve often eaten here. Paul and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Foods great too. Tonight I had the calamari salad, which was very nice.

Brilliant restaurant, I go here all the time. Excellent food and great prices. The staff are always friendly, especially Paul. They are always running great events too. Highly recommended.

Food was ok, service a little odd they didn't listen to some requests correctly. Not what it used to be.

It was lovely, on a freezing cold night, to be ushered outside - warmed under heaters - to take in the magical flickering lights of Melbourne’s city skyline - with Flinders Street Station glowing in the foreground.
Our meal at La Camera was excellent. The pizza that my companion chose was the finest crust (authentic Italian like it is cooked in regions of Italy) with generous but not over the top meat, tomato and onion / garlic flavours. My seafood linguini was absolutely delicious - abundant with seafood and the biggest prawns - all in a beautiful garlic-infused cream sauce. When I asked for more chilli, chilli oil was brought to the table - which for me (a hot chilli lover) was just the answer. Service was excellent - professional, pleasant and not intrusive.
The meal was a delight and I would heartily recommend La Camera to my friends and family - and return soon for another lovely authentically-Italian meal.

Always great service, the food is excellent. The portions are fairly large, so it's a great place for sharing!

Had a good time here, but unfortunately got rather sick for 3 days after eating their Carbonara.

The wine tasted lovely and customer service was great though.

I rang about a reservation and was advised that a table would be available in 10 minutes but my party could wait at the bar and we'd be looked after. When we arrived ten minutes later, we were promptly seated and our waiter attended to our every need. His accent was sometimes hard to understand but overall, good service.

La camera has been our go to for Italian Food for the last 15 years. Sorry but no more. The service was great all wait staff did a great job, but the food didn't live up to the standard we have come to expect. We ordered entrees and shared. Arancini were good and so was the garlic pizza and the boys loved the calamari, got to say the croquettes were rather disappointing they tasted like fish. Mains came out, my husbands didn't arrive and he was offered a drink to cover the fact that his wasn't yet ready. MY food was terrible, bland and tasteless. I have veal with a bean mix on the side. All on the table had a little taste and the consensus was the same. I was offered to have another meal, but by this time I had lost all appetite. The meals of the others were just OK, but not good enough to say we wanted to return. One of my sons was still hungry after his pasta. Plenty of sauce but little pasta. Sorry but after all this time we will not be returning.

This was a disappointing experience. The linguine alla pescatora was tasteless and nothing like the description on the menu. Linguine overcooked and water at the base of the plate. Seafood was cut up in such small pieces that it was practically unrecognizable. Carbonara with only a few pieces of bacon so thin that they looked like pink dust. This dish had no flavour and tasted like pasta cooked in hot milk. The only good thing was the garlic and cheese pizza we had as an entree. We will not be going back.

One of the best meals I’ve had at crown casino for the price bracket and probably the best Italian I’ve had in Melbourne. The food arrives fast and the meals are well presented and delicious. I ordered the same meal on both visits and the meal was exactly the same. The wait staff were quite nice and we spent a fortune both times we visit Rex

Amazing experience tonight for our first time at the restuarant. I called earlier and requested a table near the window which they said was booked out but they would try their best. Not expecting much, we were greeted with prime seating on the balcony for a party of 6. Our waitress, who I wish we had her name, was able to give us all recommendations and was so patient too. Our entrees came out ten minutes later all at the same time and were delicious and generous (bruscheta, antipasto, aracini). Our mains came soon after at the same time and staff ensured we had everything we needed before leaving. They were also amazing - not huge but certainly filling and great quality. Everyone couldn't stopped commenting about the food and service and staff just topped it off. Fairly priced too! Thank you for a memorable delicious experience

Delicious Garlic Pizza as an entrée. Risotto La Camera was rice with cream, bacon, spinach and pumpkin. Also had a Montepulciao red wine which was as smooth as any Pinot Nor can be. Service was a little lacking but a great atmosphere and worth a look.
