Space adequate, sink drained disgustingly slow, could have used more hangers, windows seriously needing a clean.

Comfy bed, fantastic staff and service, LOVED having a balcony, great location.

Decent room at a decent price. Good amount of room in it. And bathroom was spacious and clean and had a cool design

Rooms could be cleaner, food average… Staff seem nice but have too much to do so they forget about things…

Room was smaller than normal but adequate for our needs. Biggest issue was ultra thin walls between rooms, as we could clearly hear the TV and prolonged banging noises from next door.

Decent room at a reasonable price. Patchy service and a few things damaged or broken in the room.

No welcome back, no mini-bar, no water, restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, staff are not very friendly and the cleanliness has deteriorated. Room key issues on 3 occasions. Room not cleaned on one day. No response to my letter of complaint.

I had read quite a few bad reviews after I booked the hotel for 2 nights and was scared that it might actually be as bad as some said. But, it was not. The room was very clean. No smell or odour. We booked a deluxe king room, and it was quite nice. The bathroom was neat and clean, crisp, fresh towels, sanitary items kept new, extra roll of tissues, new toiletries, etc.
Location is Fab. 5 mins walk to Melbourne central and 3 mins walk to Queen victoria market.
The lady in the morning at the reception is very kind and so is the main waiter at the restaurant. Special thankx to them. Apologies for not asking your names for this review.
Breakfast served was delicious, especially their omelettes and pancakes. Too good.
The only drawback to this entire stay was that the weather was cold and night, and we were given a very thin comforter and 2 bedsheets to sleep in. We requested multiple times in the evening for extra blankets or comforters and was finally given one comforter and was told we can only give one as we dont have any more extras and we were 2 adults and 2 small children. Another thing if you are travelling with kids expect your mobile hotspot to work as the interest is really bad and when asked about it we were told they can not do anything about it.
So other than the service from a staff rest entire stay was Excellent for US.
We would definitely be staying again if we find it at a decent price.

It was very small and was said to be family friendly but its the opposite my family of 4 did not enjoy our stay. My mother was ripped off because she was told it was 2 bedrooms, two bathrooms, one lounge and a kitchen, seeing the opposite with one bathroom and one bedroom with our kitchen in a cupboard. The staff weren't helpful either and quite rude towards us maybe because we're white and they're asian idek. So overall I give 1 star because negative hundred won't let me post. Very disappointing so get better like upgrade your rooms.

The only positive parts of our stay was the location and the breakfast. The food quality was great and arrived in a timely manner.

However, I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family as the cleanliness and maintenance of our room was shocking. There were areas of mould in the silicone across the bathroom and there was high levels of dust and poor cleaning standards in our room. We discovered peanuts and almonds under our bed, along with empty plastic bottles. It felt that the room only had a change of sheets and a quick wipe down, as the carpet didn’t appear to be vacuumed and there was full trays of room service left in the corridor.

Extremely disappointed that our feedback to the Hotel staff fell on deaf ears and they really didn't seem to care.

Maybe 2 stars is a little too harsh, but I felt the need to counter the excessively high rating of 4 stars, which seems, at best, somewhat OTT.
First the good:
- good value
- happening vibrant area
- close to Chinatown
- close to Vic Market
- big, clear, modern tv
- iron, ironing board
- in-room safe
Next, the middling:
- rooms were clean and well looked after if a little basic perhaps
Next, the not so good:
- I sat on hold in the telephone for 5+ minutes and then gave up
- reception and bar were staffed by just one person
- missing "p" from the sign "Reception" gives a negative first impression
Finally, the terrible:
- very noisy (eminating from both inside and out) even on floor 5.
And the noise lasted pretty much all night with only a brief lull in the early hours, perhaps
To sum up.
Would I stay here again? Unlikely
Would it suit some people? Yes, definitely. Why? The location (providing you dont wake up too easily with noise) and the also.
- the good value for money.
Suggestions for management:
- add a rubber seal to the inside and bottom of the shower door. It'll pay for itself in improved service staff efficiency and avoid negative reviews
- be quicker and more willing to provide Tax Invoices to those that request them. Otherwise, the hotel presents the impression of being at best poorly managed and, at worst, used for money laundering purposes
- put on more staff at busy times
- fix issues quickly

Location is top notch. Very near to the Queen Victoria Market, tram stop (located in the free tram zone as well), and walk distance to the State Library. 24h McD is also located beside the building (plus point if you have late night cravings lol). Definitely will stay at Jasper again!

Great value for money, nice rooms, comfy king bed, everything was clean and tidy. Awesome location, late checkout, working wifi, has all the basics.would have liked to cast Netflix from the phone to the tv but that's a small thing and you really can't complain for the price.

Parking is available nearby on Franklin st, it cost $18 for just over 24h which is more than reasonable.

We stayed here for new years and could see some of the fireworks from the balcony and really enjoyed our stay.

The most standout part was by far the customer service that we received, especially from Arthur who went above and beyond for us. Thank you Arthur, I know we both really appreciated you going the extra mile.

No wifi, cleaning in bedrooms including laundry services could have been better and my TV had 4 Chanel’s working: (the only good things was the view of the city and the location.

I had read alot of reviews before booking a hotel. The Jasper hotel had everything I needed, location and comfort. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Only let dwn the shower was a bit small space wise. You must have the breakfast, the pricing is great and the food was very fresh and tasty. Large servings.

Room is spacious and comfy. My room was facing the courtyard, which meant it was very very quiet at night. Could barely hear neighbors. Only things I didn’t like were the patio is all connected, meaning anyone in any room can walk all the way down to another person’s sliding door into their room.
The only other complaint I had was Wi-Fi never worked in my room. Happily the front desk was very accommodating, allowing me to work in the common dining area, even when it was closed, so that I could get a Wi-Fi signal.
Overall, would stay there again – if you are planning to do work during the day or be reliant on wifi, I would recommend having an alternate plan in place.

Good location, close to O. V. M. The rooms were spacious, could have been cleaner. I wouldn't stay here again, though. There are cleaner hotels to choose from. I was not impressed at all! Cute name for a hotel- that is it.

Nice hotel rooms for a good price!
However the service was quite limited and we suffered from NO WIFI the whole time we were here!
That was pretty disappointing. Don’t think we would stay here again.

Great tidy rooms. Beds comfy. Rooms quiet. Only thing that put a downer on the room was the filthy windows! Could barely see out the windows which was sad. Other than that, great hotel.
