Location is excellent, 4 mins walk from Melbourne Central shopping Centre. Staff are excellent! Rooms are okay, only issue was the bed mattress is so soft and feels like you sink in too much. Room's are a little on the smaller side. But overall good location and okay rooms

Best location, but very poor car park system. The building is very old, and style is like a motel. Staff are most helpful and friendly.

No cold water coming out of taps in bathroom.
A hot day and solar heated pool on which was awful.
No cold water hard to adjust shower
No cold water in fridge for guess on a very hot day.

Decent value for money hotel right amongst the action the CBD has to offer.
We stayed for the Australian Open tennis and was an ideal location with an easy walk to Melbourne Park
Check in and check out was easy, staff were polite and friendly.
Room was clean and tidy albeit a bit outdated, and the rooftop pool was nice.
Downside was one of the two elevators was broken which was a nightmare for guests as there was constantly people waiting and bundling in the lift to check out/in and leave their rooms in general. We spent 15 mins waiting for a vacant lift

Fantastic front of house staff -wecoming and efficient. Whilst the room was a little small, it was very comfortable - however, during Covid, housekeeping do not serie the room. So my question is what do you pay for? A bed for the night? This is not, to my knowl;edge a Governent requirement but a hotel requirement and is nt acceptable. Whilst dated, the bathroom had everything you need. Disssppointing but wuld try agsain after Covid.

Average would be an overstatement - cheap uncomfortable beds, terrible decor, room smells, and a fantastic view of a concrete wall.

The water in the pool was 50 degrees Celsius and the manager tried to tell me this is normal for a rooftop pool. I cancelled my reservation and never received a refund. Avoid this hotel. Go to Scape at Aurora for a much better more modern experience for the same price.

Rooms are a bit small but comfy. Disappointed the bar was closed first couple of days there along with dining. When the bar was reopened only stayed open for 3 hours then closed again even with customers already in the bar. Room service was good.

The staff are very warm and friendly. Room service is on the pricey side but food is good. My only complaint is that the windows are not double glazed so even though I was on the 15th floor, the traffic noise from Lonsdale St really resonated into the room.

Perfect spot for a couple of nights, close to Her Majesty’s Theatre. Ideal for seeing a show. COVID requirements limited the availability of the restaurant, but the room was perfect.

Great value for essentially a 4-5 star hotel. Room was very spacious and had everything expected. Nice bathtub/shower combo.

Also was good to see a hotel providing pay tv, something which is becoming rarer.

Finally roof top pool provided a good view of the city, nice temperature and wasn't packed like other ones

The staff at the hotel were awsome. We had a small issue on booking. Harry fixed straight away. We had an issue with uber eats and the girls helped me contact the driver and sort out my families dinner. My son had a sleep accident and they fixed that no questions asked. My wife ordered a couple of cocktails at the bar and Bruno carried the drinks up with her and she didnt ask.
Honestly.the staff made our stay really enjoyable. Great location aswell. Thanks heaps guys

Bad experience with broken door, noisy location, dirty mat, tiny bathroom and aged power plugs. Not recommended!

Unfortunately this hotel is a bit run down and needs some TLC. However location wise, it's a great spot. The customer service is also friendly and the beds are comfortable. I was locked out of my room as my key didn't work and the team were quick to send someone up to sort it out.

Our room had two single beds pushed together, and called a King. It wasn't. The floor on the entry was filthy and hadn't been cleaned in a while. The bathroom had piss stains on the floor in front if the toilet. The furniture was worn down to the frame underneath in some points. Our "Superior King Room" had a balcony that had a wonderful view of a brick wall 10 feet away and that's it. All this for approximately $400 for two nights. Oh and to top it all off, when we complained about the cleanliness, we were told the managed would contact us. They didn't. We waited for 45 minutes, and nothing. So we got a refund and went to the Rydges, and couldn't be happier. Oh and it was cheaper, with easily the best food we've had in years via room service. Grand Chancellor is rubbish. Dont waste your time.

Worst place I've ever stayed in Melbourne. The Premier King room is very disappointing, we walked in to all the blinds closed so the room was very dark and unwelcoming. The towels were dirty and the bed cover stained. To make things worse, we were on the second floor right on the busy Lonsdale Street. It was so loud with cars beeping and going past all night. There was also a nightclub two doors down. With the road noise and nightclub, I was barely able to sleep. Very disappointing.

Great location, parking was ordinary even when we asked to park on-site, they sent us off site 2 blocks away, not good for the disabled. Only 1 lift in service.
Sup king room was neat, getting dated though, windows filthy (outside) a couple of foxtel channels was ok. Shower was nice and big but water does go everywhere over bathroom floor.
No Buffett breakfast, even though we’d booked for it, staff never informed us.
You get 3 choices now. Pancakes, eggs or egg and bacon muffin.
Restaurant was nice, but not taking cash.
Heated pool on the roof was a pleasant surprise, great view, not much pool area furniture none the less was a nice area.

Great location.
The rooftop pool is heated and refreshing.
We stayed in a king room and it was perfect, comfy bed and good sized room.
Friendly staff, would recommend and stay again.
Thanks
