Goathouse Café Bar restaurant

A great place for an excellent breakfast. The staff were amazing and courteous, the food was sublime, and the restaurant atmosphere was exceptional. Service was very good and the wait for food was most reasonable for the amount of people in the restaurant at the time. Highly recommended.

The staff are great and the fitout is terrific, however despite having booked online, and confirming by phone on day of booking, our table for 8 was not ready when we arrived. We also felt the lunch menu is very limited, and also not enough choice for "simple" eaters.

This place is amazing. Great food at a reasonable price, friendly staff and an owner that really cares about his customers.

We've been coming here every Saturday morning for years. Natalie (from Calabria, Italy) and her prompt and friendly service makes our experience exceptional every time. I recommend that she gets a raise.

Relaxed vibe with nice coffee and good food, although the serving size was too big for my lunch! Nice to find a cafe where you can also grab a local craft beer to enjoy with your lunch. Great wait staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. Will be back!

Food and service just right for my 8 yr old daughters family dinner. 14 of us, 8 kids 11 and under. Nothing was too much trouble.and loved happy hour!

We appreciated our large group of adults and kids being so easily accommodated. Food and atmosphere great, and reasonably priced too! The service was great, and I was impressed with the follow up phone call after I booked online confirming reservation.

Awesome local bar with great live music on Friday nights. Great family venue. Food is definitely above average and a nice selection of drinks.

Love this restaurant. Great ambiance, delicious food & wonderfully friendly service. The 10 of us who went have got lots of different food allergies & Intolerants.they catered perfectly for each of us.even double checking our order to ensure no mistakes. Not only did they give my daughter, whose birthday we were celebrating, a free dessert, but they also deducted her entire meal from the bill! We’ll definitely be going back!

Came here for a friends birthday dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. The meal and service was excellent. Ordered the veggie stack which was really nice, the flavours all went well together and I would order again. We were also served by a lovely girl who had green (?) earrings and glasses but weren’t sure what her name was (maybe Emily?) she was pleasant and was an excellent waitress.

I love this place! A girlfriend and I came across this little beauty last time I was in Melbourne and I have made sure that I've left myself a spare night to get back here. Friendly staff and amazing food and drinks. Can't wait to get back here!

Hanging outta Elsternwick. I use to come here when I was young. My community church was located here back then but now we have all moved to Flemington along with our church due to the growth of our community. I can't believe I finally get to come back here and go to the top rated cafes in Elsternwick.

Meals were nice enough (1 steak & 1 Mediterranean vegie stack) - both of which could have been warmer. Service was good. Live band was inappropriate as "dinner music".

Good was good, live music was too loud for me but I sat outside and the staff give us blankets cos it was cold. Very friendly atmosphere.

Lovely, helpful staff. Burgers all delicious. Vegan bowl with raw pumpkin could've been heartier for the price. Some roast, warm vegies would have helped. A combination of raw, cooked and punch in the face flavours could really have worked. No almond butter as advertised on menu either. Overall I would recommend the Goathouse. Nice ambience too.
