Goathouse Café Bar restaurant

Came here last week with a couple of friends and they had something for everyone even though we had some special requests on the meals. Also the staff there is super kind and friendly. Loved the atmosphere on the outside deck next to the fire.

If there was an option for 1/2 I would select that.
Slow service, when the food finally arrived bland and no flavour.dont waste your money.stick with Bang Bang or After the Tears across the road.

Celebrated our son's birthday with 25 friends and family members last Sunday night. Couldn't wish for a better service, atmosphere and food. Highly recommend this place.

A local gem, must visit if in or near Elsternwick; absolute quality food, awesome staff, been there many times never get sick of it.

Can’t post a picture? Chicken burger is my favourite though, yummy yummy! Shared platers is a good one as well when we’re with friends. A lovely place with lovely people, just 4 mins walk from my house.

Love eating out at Goathouse Cafe. We come with 2 of our fury pooches to enjoy superb choices on menu. Good service and great atmosphere.

A well priced place with good food. However there has been a slight change with my usual Brioche. It lacked previous ones and so only 4 stars for now.

Waiter could barely speak english, forgot my drink at first.
Then later forgot my main meal.
Was asked for no pepper sauce on the steak but put on anyway.
My meal came so late all the other guests had left and I was left eating on my own. Manager didn't have the basic courtesy to speak to us.
The food was terrible, service worse.

Lovely place just close to Elsternwick station. Always a popular place to have some coffee and foods over there. I go to there every weekend, the staffs are so nice and helpful.

Not a huge fan. Coffee mediocre, Food abysmal. Would give one star however our waitstaff was very attentive, friendly and apologetic due to the poached egg being rock hard. They got the kitchen to remake the eggs, however by the time I received my eggs the rest of my food was cold.

The owner just threw us out for buying 2 smoothies, some teas etc. Told us it was not a meeting area. Extremely rude. Told us i could not finish my peppermint tea. Extemely rude

Impressive (delicious) portion sizes and a relaxed, open atmosphere made for a great place for a catch-up brunch. This was all out-shined by the genuinely friendly staff who intuitively catered for our specific needs, without us having to ask. Service, food and atmosphere all deserve 5 stars each.

Love the food /coffee/ drinks over there very much, especially the shared platers. A really lovely place with a lovely relaxed atmosphere, stuffs are so lovely as well.

Excellent restaurant for great dinner. Very casual. The food was very good and tasty but small portions. Desserts are definitely NOT their speciality. Overall, brilliant food and highly recommended!

Yummy food, had scrambled eggs on toast and it was cooked perfectly. Enjoyed the coffee and great atmosphere, customer service was awesome

Very accommodating- turned up short notice New years day 9 People and a dog - able to find us an outside table at short notice- staff helpful and friendly - food competent

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Booking online was easy and followed up with email, then a text reminder on the day. Party of 8 adults of varying ages and the menu provided something for everyone including vegetarian. Service was efficient and polite and meals were served in a timely manner. Food was well presented and tasty. Not our first visit and we will be back.

Lovely casual relaxed atmosphere that’s tendered by professional and courteous staff. The food is spot on - delicious and well priced. Ambience is very pleasant and managed extremely well. No hesitation recommending.
