Coombe Yarra Valley

A great venue that l have been to many times due to its proximity to Melbourne and drive over the mountains, while for these reasons l will continue to go here it’s simply sad that the portions/size of scones and main courses are shrinking.

I was there and my friend Vee was treated RUDELY by the staff because she didn't have an ID even though she had her vax passport. They let everyone else in but not her. I had to drive her back to her hotel and she and I missed the entire wedding of our best friends. Never going back here - AVOID having events here, staff are incredibly RUDE and NASTY

Really worth the experience. Two and 3 course set menu. Excellent food and wine with a difference. The slow cooked lamb for 2 was special.

Uderwhelming wine and poor hospitality. There are other great places to go for great wine. Do not waste your time here.

Our favourite stop of the day. Outstanding service that was warm and personalable, took the time to select wines and encouraged us to try the gin. Beautiful location

WOWSERS! What a wedding venue. I am a wedding photographer and I have shot at a fair few locations but not one as elegant as this one! From the 5 star service from all the staff through to the most intense flavoured food you've ever experienced, this venue has it all. If you live outside of Victoria, book a flight! This venue is in a class all of it's own. Would highly recommend to any couple looking for a wedding venue! "Mr Hendrix Photography"

Very enjoyable devonshire tea in the sunshine with great service & delicious scones. The hedges were a great windbreak today. Previous Estate of the great opera singer, Dame Nellie Melba. Tours of the house are available, lunch & dinner & wine tasting area.
I was lucky to meet the tour guide who was very welcoming. The guide was from Waterford near my Mothers hometown of Dunmore East in Ireland.

I have photographed many weddings at Coombe and It's by far my favourite place to work, the venue is immaculate and has everything you could possible want including lovely staff and incredible food & Drink. Highly recommend.

Dining at Coombe turned out to be better than expected.

The dining room, despite being hard surfaces, was not noisy despite an almost full house. The curved wooden baffle roof is doing a good job. The music was pleasant and unobtrusive.

I was there on a cold sunless day and I was warm and comfortable.

The food was better than I expected. Much better, and my companion felt the same. I had an entrée and main. She had a main and dessert. We loved all our dishes. My fish was cooked to perfection. The portions are generous without being over the top.

Go with confidence!

Coombe really needs to sort out their online booking website. On at least a couple of occasions now I’ve tried to book in a date and it initially says a table is available for the qty of people and time required but then fails to make the booking once I’ve entered in all my details saying the table I am after is no longer available … frustrating as hell. Love the food here.

We came for high tea on Mother’s Day and had such a great time.

The service was outstanding - our water glasses and wine glasses were never empty and the coffee and tea came out so quickly after we ordered. Our server even offered to take a photo for us. Afterwards the host let us into the gallery after hours just because she saw us looking through the window.

The food was also A+ - amazing scones and sweet treats and the fluffiest finger sandwiches. I did not even eat dinner afterwards, I was so full.

Amazing scenery and atmosphere. We had the 3 course meal, which was beautifully presented and delicious!

Fantastic, one of the best places I've been to in the Yarra Valley. Cannot fault the staff. Food very good along with the wine, can't wait to go back

I love this special place and always looking forward to dining there, unfortunately though, since this COVID has taken effect, as a diner you are rushed through your dining experience. Iit feels as though just as you arrive and order - your eating then told you have 20mins to leave (within an hour) so they can be ready for the next session. So this part of the dining experience has been very unfortunate and not much fun - as you don't have much time to enjoy the food and end up leaving bloated because you've had to shove your food down.

Very nostalgic experience. Classy High Tea.
Great service and took home some very nice local Yarra Valley wines.
