Coombe Yarra Valley

A truly wonderful experience. First time at Coombe with the family and can say without doubt the food, service and atmosphere is the best in the Yarra Valley. Special mention to our 2 lovely waitresses, Amanda and Jordan…. Both showed genuine care, were attentive and maintained a smile throughout a very busy lunch. A memorable dining experience to kick off the New Year.

I celebrated my engagement at Coombe and it was the best day ever. Dylan was so supportive since I contacted him regarding the event and facilitated all of my requests. Amanda ensured the day went by with no flaws and made sure that everyone had the best experience ever. It was perfect. Excellent staff. Excellent food. Excellent atmosphere. I highly recommend this venue.

Nice place, well priced good wine service was nice everyone was lovely.however felt a little forgot from the action over on the cellar side otherwise lovely.

We had our uncle's 70th at Coombe in the private dining room. It was excellent. The staff were great, especially Amanda, who hosted and waited the entire event - her service was second to none. I highly recommend hosting an event here and if you can have Amanda host it, even better.

Really nice premium hight tea, nice atmosphere with wood framed historic ceilings and the clock mechanism on display, delicious food, very nice experience highly recommended.

Had a great day.took my best friend for her birthday. Had booked the garden tour, but the weather wasn't brilliant, so they changed it up a bit to a garden and house tour, which was brilliant! This was followed by a three course lunch, and everything was delicious! Highly recommend the beef rib which literally melted in the mouth, and the asparagus entree was so tasty!
The peach melba dessert is also highly recommended.
Coming in second place (as we shared) was the potato, pork belly and brownie.but none of them were bad meals! It was just a case of which course won the round!
Highly recommend for a special occasion!

Our waitress Taylor was exceptional. Her knowledge of produce and accompanying wines was impressive. Her manner was respectful and very friendly. We enjoyed our lunch here today.

Good spot for a long relaxed lunch. We had a 3 course meal over 2 hours. The dining room is an open plan setup overlooking the pine trees. The food is good and service is friendly.

Amazing restaurant. Very relaxed atmosphere. Big place, attention to small details is there. It was fully booked however acoustic system works amazing and you can hardly hear other tables. We will be back thank you guys for the amazing service

Beautiful venue and delicious food. Everything was filled with flavour.
Service was quite slow even as more and more tables started to empty after 2: 30pm but other than that it was an enjoyable meal.

Fantastic set menu, got exactly what you pay for, premium quality good & service. Would highly recommend & such beautiful scenery, well worth a visit!

Visually beautiful but that was it. Disappointed by the lack of vegetarian/vegan choices and even more so, lack of communication from our waiter. Kids menu- steak pie or spaghetti bolognese. My son eats neither, I said plain pasta would be fine. He said he’d ‘see what the kitchen could do’. My bland carrot confit came out first, and then 1.5hr later (I had to ask!) husbands main and the kids pasta came. Kids pasta had sauce on it. Anyone with little kids knows how fussy they are and I’ve never been somewhere that could get the simple request of ‘no sauce’ so wrong. Needless to say I had to go elsewhere to get my son lunch. Husbands main was bland and was meant to be steak but looked dry and like pork. I’m always happy to pay for exceptional food, but it was disappointing to say the least. Dessert was ok. Won’t be going back. $230 for one beer, one entrée, one main, one kids pasta, side of toast potatoes, 2 bottles of water, 2 desserts. Meh.

Just want to say a big thankyou to Dylan, Amanda and all the staff. We had a wonderful experience at my recent 60th Birthday in the Gallery. From the food to the wait staff to the cellar door staff. Everyone was attentive, happy, engaging and professional. It was a perfect day

Went on a girls trip and Coombe was our last stop before we head back. We definitely saved the best for last. The space was bright and tables are beautifully spaced apart.

Loved the food (and wine!), ambiance plus service was professional and attentive. Will be back!

This is without doubt one of the most unbelievably, beautiful, attractive, joyful experiences for the tastebuds you’ll ever have the ladies who run and manage the cellar door here have not only a wonderful knowledge of these excellent premium ones and jeans, but also know all about food, and how to make things look and feel fabulous. If you’re looking for a wonderful experience in the year of Eli come to the cum, Celador and meat mean Mint and Mimmy and Tayla.

This is such a fabulous restaurant with wonderful, attentive and friendly staff in a truly beautiful location.
The manager, Tristan, was warm and welcoming and, not only supervised the dining room but also assisted in preparing tables. Our waitress, Emma, was very friendly and professional - she knew everything about the property and assisted us work through the menu.
It was a fantastic way to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Many thanks an see you next year:)

Terrific service from Gemma and team, my mother's a semi regular and she took me for birthday lunch. Slow cooked lamb was the best I've had in 50+ years and the service was flawless and on point
