Timezone Garden City

Fun place for games and bowling etc, but I would never order food here again. Pepperoni pizza came out 25 minutes under cooked about 10 pieces of Pepperoni and was just not possible le to eat. Fries were cold when they arrived and milkshakes were warm

Staff are lovely & there's plenty of them, but not enough computers to deal with the weekend crowds. We had to get someone to unjam our lane a couple of times, & its frustrating having to wait at the counter again & again, when theres staff available to help but no computers for them to work on.

Over all the experience was okay at best. Plenty of different games and a lot of fun to be had. My biggest issue was the fact we sheerly came to this venue to play laser tag with our kid. We waited for over 20mins and the guy hosting the laser tag never said a word to us. Some Muppet with blonde hair who looked like a scraggly mop. After 15 mins of waiting around 7 other people showed up with 6 of us already waiting. We assumed this would be enough to start the game. Again he didn't say a word to us just played with his hair and left us to wonder what was going on. If youre going for the games there are plenty available and there is a lot of fun to be had. If you're going because you heard they offer laser tag don't even bother. You'll be left to sit in the few couches available until you finally get frustrated enough to go seek out other games. Will definitely be going to surfers next time.

I love bowling and have always been to Strike bowling arenas. The pins are string tethered and it's not ideal for getting good strike. The floors are also a bit over waxed and I feel they prevent any curvature. If you are as serious as me about bowling, try other places before coming here. If you are here for fun and to kill time, it's not at all bad.

Bloody usless come all the way down to take the grandkids for some fun not even open till 10am yet your page said 9am well won't be going there again stupid people

GAMING ARCADES, VR SIMULATIONS, BOWLING AND PRIZES! What more can I say!
It's always a good place to visit and enjoy the facilities with family and friends for a night out or birthday party.
There is heaps of lanes for bowling and the staff are very helpful and friendly towards the customers.
The games of bowling can be rewatched online via code on the screens at the bowling lanes, So if you keep your code you can go watch it later or share online on social media. I highly recommend taking the kids and burning off some energy as this venue.

As a regular here I love the game selection. However every time I try to call the phone I'm told that I'm calling outside of operating hours even though I know they're open. Its also frustrating how they don't have their own phone number and I have to go through an unnecessary menu during a call.

Hands down one of the worst bowling alleys I have ever bowled on! Not even close to AMF standard!

To start.

1) Balls are not polished at all! Paper has more of a shine than these balls!

2) Finger hole size is one size for the weight, heavier the ball the larger the hole, normally you would have a few different sizes per weight. I have large hands and bowl with a 10, however the one size finger hole per weight class forced me into a weight 13! Great for the back and shoulders.

3) Poorly oiled lanes

4) Pins are tethered on ROPES! I'd expect this at a "fun sized" alley not a full size alley!

5) The only good point. Staff were super friendly 5 out of 5 for their service

My wife and grandkids went to the Zone bowling in garden city and had an delightful time on Saturday. The lady with a clipboard was very helpful and gave us complimentary water and helped us with our lane when it broke. All of the staff were fantastic though. Would definitely come back again.

This review is more about the whole IT system of time zone rather than the Garden city branch. I have been experiencing the balance and tickets lost for twice, just imagine that you go into for having fun and get tell your card has no balance and need to wait for more than 24 hr to fix the problem. Therefore, I decide to spend up the balance and exchange all the tickets to prizes, no more time zone.

Decent size arcade centre with a lot of variety.
Plenty of of different games to play some requiring luck, some skill.
Machines are mostly operating and always clean.
Get a card, save points and buy whatever they have on the wall.
There's something for everyone here.

Held a birthday party here on Saturday night at 6pm. The staff were very helpful but the party ran overtime due to the place being so busy. All the kids enjoyed the party so that was a win.

Paid for a card but the machine did not dispense it. I went to see the attendant who called some technicians (?) to look at it. I waited for 15 minutes then had enough and requested a refund. A staff member said she would refund me but 5 minutes later another staff told me they couldn't refund me and would need to continue investigating. 2 days later, still no reply, no idea how long their "investigation" is going to take and still don't have my money back.

1 star for now. Might update my review when I get my money back.

My son and I regularly come to timezone, and have never had a bad experience but today we had a negative experience. We were lining up for laser tag and saw a party group going in, so we waited in front of the entrance for the group to finish. The group was about to finish so we thought we would be able to go in soon. But no they brought another group of kids through and walked straight passed us not even acknowledging us waiting. So we left. I understand you have kids parties and they pay for laser tag as well but blatantly ignoring other paying customers who were waiting isn't right.

Awesome place to take the kids, and I have as much fun as they do. Great setup with friendly helpful staff.

Fun with lots of games, severs games need abit of tlc, with a few of em suffering from wear and tear and not working correctly

If fun parlours are your thing you won't be disappointed. I took my two granddaughters tenpin bowling, such a lot of fun. And the bonus? It's within Garden City and parking is easy. We'll be back!

There are heaps of games for the kids to play and keep them occupied during the holidays. The more popular games are very difficult to get on (and people tend to push in). Watched the $4 a go claw grabber game where you can win x100 tickets but after about 5 goes nobody won anything. The hammer strength game is popular with the kids as is the Mario and the Ferrari racing games which are good value. There are various packages to purchase - the one bought on the day was one hour of games which included unlimited yellow and red game play, 300 points, and 2 feature game plays. The only problem is you are unable to accumulate additional points on the value card. There is also ten pin bowling but the games are a little pricey, as is the food on site. The food outlet is licensed so you can purchase alcohol. There are party rooms, and saw one of the birthday girls grabbing tickets in the booth that blows them around. There is some wasted space with the match colour game near the front, mini bowling lanes and a room to the left of the ticket redeeming shop that could be repurposed to add more games. The staff are always walking around and wiping the machines but one of them left a cloth on the floor creating a trip hazard.

So much fun in one place it has everything you could want bowling, laser force, air hockey can't wait to go back.
