Ovolo 1888 Hotel, was the Absolute Best hotel I've ever stayed in! They made check in a breeze including holding our luggage for us because we were early. They even delivered our luggage to our room once it was ready. They had fresh fruit water throughout the day to enjoy next to the Awesome candy bar, I have such a sweet tooth I couldn't resist daily. The bed was so comfortable I had no problem sleeping each night. They had funny cute things in the rooms that make you laugh and enjoy. The room and rest of the place was spotless and clean. They had a mini refrigerator that contained soda, water, orange juice, white wine and beer, that gets refilled daily. You get a loot bag filled with snacks such as candies, nuts and popcorn to enjoy or give away. They have full sizes of shampoo, conditioner, bath wash and lotion, so no worries of running out. The ceiling shower head was fantastic with endless hot water. I loved the robes, slippers and umbrella, if needed, that were a great bonus. The daily breakfast was so so so Deliciously Tasty! With a great selection of fresh yogurt, oatmeal, meats, cheese, deviled eggs, pasteries, fruit, etc. They have free social hour with wine and small bites. I loved the hidden surprise under each elevator. The customer service was 1000%. They helped with recommendation on what to see in the city, helped give directions when needed and were just really Kind Helpful people. This place really made you feel comfortable and right at home, I definitely didn't want to leave. I really needed more than 5 Stars to rate this Amazing boutique hotel. They are a Must stay for this wonder place.

One little hiccup in the restaurant, but otherwise fantastic! Amenities were crazy - we're not used to being spoiled like this! The cool daybag is getting used!

The food and wines were disappointing. Also the atmosphere in Mr Percy was dreadful. It was emplty and the staff were very cold

Stayed in the shaken suite, which you'd think would be all inclusive for the price. Got told it's free happy hour and free breakfast - but then get to the restaurant and it's not. Advertises Foxtel, but it's not connected and the wifi is offline due to tech problems too.

One of the towels was dirty with what I hope was a piece of sticky tape stuck to it. Gym, pool and car park are not onsite

This place is set back from the water, and the harbour isn't easily accessible due to Novotel and tram line being in the way. Room gets quite noisy at night due to main roads on both sides of building.

What a quirky place to stay! If you're sick of the clinical feel that many hotels have, then you need to stay at Ovolo! The colourful rooms are such a delight. The staff are very friendly and professional, and the restaurant is actually pretty good. Yes, some of the rooms can be small, but if all you need is a comfortable place to lie down after a long day, then it's plenty.

Second to none in hospitality. Friendliest staff, intimate setting and so many little touches that make your stay all the more memorable. Would highly recommend if you want a more personal experience. Location is also highly attractive, one of your best bets around.

Really cute lobby/breakfast area, friendly/helpful staff and a convenient location. Was actually a little disappointed with the interior design in our room! Especially after reading all the very positive reviews specifically mentioning the funky in-room vibe. Room was very small and we had an exposed ironing board hanging right next to our bed. While I understand the need for ironing boards, wasn't the sexiest look in the world - lying in bed staring at an ironing board! The bathroom was quite nice. Overall a good establishment, especially for overnight stays, but would not recommend if you are looking for a true boutique experience - I suspect the price is more reflective of the excellent location than the rooms themselves!

A cute boutique hotel with excellent amenities (happy hour, goodie bags, free minibar, friendly staff, etc.) made for a memorable stay. Will return again!

I'm absolutely in love with the ovolo 1888. My wife and I have stayed they twice now and we'll be back again. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the rooms are clean and well fitted with quality accessories. The addition of an Amazon echo and Apple TV were great. The WiFi is fast and reliable. Location is so central and accessible. I could go on and on but this is easily one of the best places I have stayed in Sydney.

Unique interior design with outstanding services. Good for young people visit. Mini bar is complimentary with happy hour drink afternoon. However, it’s a bit noisy at night, room size is small than normal standard room.

Smallest hotel room ever, below average breakfast and happy hour/ mr percy at night is deplorable. My boyfriend bought this as a surprise 6 months together and he was embarrassed.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Decor is quirky and fun. As of this writing, rates include continental breakfast and mini bar which is a great deal. Good location in Darling Harbour, close to dining, shops, etc. Downsides are that rooms are small and as far as I know there aren’t many views.

This is one of the neatest, funkiest hotels I've ever stayed at. Cute rooms, really cute lobby for breakfast in the morning and meals and drinks at night, funky cool vibe, friendly staff. Great place! There's a pedestrian bridge over from the 2nd floor of the Harbourside shopping center, through the Novotel, and onto Murray Street, providing convenient access to the convention centre. Also, the rooms have Apple TV and an Amazon Echo, plus an iPad with info about the area.

What a lovely place to stay, our room was small but very cosy, with complimentary minibar, and lots of lovely items to use comfy bathrobes and slippers, great breakfast space at MR Percy’s what is not to love.

A walk to Lyric Theatre, casino, darling harbour and great restaurants and night life, all added up to an amazing weekend.

Great location with an excellent hotel restaurant attached. The rooms are small but well designed so you don't feel cramped at all. The bathroom is actually quite generous in size. If you love mini bars then Ovolo have you covered. Quite literally as it's all complimentary. Mister Percy is the restaurant downstairs, and the breakfast here is superb although I haven't tried their new breakfast menu as yet. Don't drive as there is very limited street parking and the parking station across the hotel with demand your right arm for payment.

This is a gem of a hotel, nestled in behind the giant chain hotel brands off Darling Harbour. From the moment I stepped through the door into the cosy foyer/bar/restaurant area and presented at 'reception' (a desk with a laptop!), I knew this was going to be an enjoyable stay. Every staff member I met during my four days was cheerful and helpful and left me smiling each time.

The rooms are a little on the small side, but comfortable and fine for working on your laptop if you need to, with a desk and chair. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious, clean and well-maintained.

The breakfast buffet is relatively limited, but with good quality offerings plus an à la carte option. There are lots of quirky touches, including the minibar that is restocked each day for free and the complimentary 'loot bag' upon arrival.

Don't forget to check out the exposed bricks and wooden support beams, innovative room numbers and the area underneath the two glass lifts!
