Officeworks Chatswood

If I could give zero "0"" rating for Officeworks - Chatswood, I will do so. Customer service was outrageously, disgustingly bad! I visited the Chatswood store yesterday, 27 Jan, there were so many staff members but you can hardly get any help. They would rather fill the shelves with stocks than help with enquiries. I spoke to one team member and was very unhelpful to give a solution so I looked for another team member and he said he will get someone to help me, waited for 10 minutes and no one helped then I got another team member who was able to somewhat helped to check the availability of a shredder that I wanted but he had to consult with the store manager. I was in front facing the manager when he asked, but he couldn't even look at me to address my predicament. As if I was not there. I was told his name is Justin.
This is one of the example of how customer service was.
To the Management of Officeworks, please, please train your staff members if not the best customer service at least better!

This Officeworks is one of the smaller ones, still has a reasonable range of supplies though. Easy printing available. A bit disappointed with the customer service though, there were 6 people lined up waiting today, I'm not exactly sure what the 2 staff were doing, 1 was helping a customer but the other staff member was just walking around back there while her customer was trying to fix whatever he was doing on his phone, eventually I was served. I don't think I'd mind had I been acknowledged, it was just like we were invisible. Would have appreciated a "will be worth you shortly" or anything like that - didn't even look or make eye contact with anyone in the line.

Terrible service. Avoid indian staff. He doesn't mind any requests from a guests. I waited for 20 minutes for click and collect due to the careless him. I'll never go there again.

The staff are unhelpful and quite frankly lazy. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you’re looking for something to ruin your mood. I waited an hour and a half for a small photo to be printed when they said it would take 10 minutes! Overpriced and run down this store is the definition of misery.

What a shocking experience first thing in the morning. Went to the store around 8.15am. 5 staff were at the store entrance area. Asked the 1st staff (fluffing the pens display) to assist in purchasing a Samsung tablet, he then referred me to 2nd staff. 2nd staff said he was on the phone, and than 3rd staff pretended to be busy. 4th staff - a female staff member and the 2nd staff 'claimed to be on the phone' were discussing about their break time!
How difficult to serve a customer! Finally staff number 5 unwilling came to serve me. After explaining myself again why I came here today, and searching the computer and few more questions, the final answer was 'the computer say no' we are out of stock. But you can try our Lane Cove store!
Back in the office, went online and purchased what I need with JB HI-FI, from purchase with click and collect. Took me less than 30 minutes.
Officework Chatswood.will never again!

I got some printing done yesterday and it seems there’s barely any print team rostered as the only girl, Anna was busily serving each customer. I waited 10 or so minutes in line for a decent amount of a4 and a5 prints. Anna was very professional and efficient and seemed calm and collected even though it was very busy. She kept getting asked questions by the team member on the register and and she was very nicely helping him out, whilst completing my jobs. Never made any faces of exhaustion and kept going. Such a delightful young lady! It’s a shame there’s barely any team to help her out when she has so much to do.

The prints came out so clean and she made sure I had everything. Even gave me some sleeves so they don’t get damaged! It is a bit expensive, but for the service I received, I would have paid more.

This store is staffed by Dumb and Dumber. If you want a laugh, go right in. But if you want service then go somewhere else.

All the staff needs training (including the manager).

1st visit: USB-C to HDMI cables were sold out, turns out they had a box of them that hadn't been put out because staff won't take initiative.

2nd visit: The store was empty. I came in for an A2 print & lamination of my Wedding timeline. Should have been $10. Steph, the manager, wanted to charge me $21! And when I finally agreed to the price increase, Steph said she was "TOO BUSY" to help me.

3rd visit: The store was empty. 3 staff, Max, Chris & manager Steph, stood around laughing amongst themselves. When I was finally served, I was passed back and forth between all 3 staff to get 3 easy jobs done.

It took Chatswood Officeworks two weeks to do a rather simple printing and binding job. The staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. There were multiple team members were standing around, talking, on their phones and otherwise doing practically nothing. I only went to Chatswood because Mosman Officeworks was closed (I strongly recommend going to this one instead). Overall, a horrible customer experience, do not go here!

I've been coming to Officeworks the past few years and it is progressively getting worse.

For printing jobs-
It used to be that you can get the full service on the spot e.g. Printing and then cutting of the paper from say A4 to A5

Then the print jobs start taking longer because the printer is always jammed and eventually the rules started piling up, no cutting on the spot to save time, no printing on the spot using specialty paper, no color prints and now the printers doesn't even work!

Whats worse is that most specialty paper and A3 paper have been continuously out of stock. Are the management even taking the customers feedback seriously? Why are you called Officeworks when nothing works? ! Please get your act together, because people actually need your services.

We recently bought a Kindle from Ryde store but they ordered the wrong cover to be picked from chats wood. The lady in Chatswood worked out the problem and found they had the correct one in stock.

I ordered a filing cabinet and had to drive 30mins to pick from store as there was no delivery available. When I went to pick it up, officeworks said it had already been picked up, I was then forced to wait 20mins while they searched their shop and then requested a refund. When I had left the shop, they then called me to say they had found the filing cabinet. Basic stocktaking was not in place. I was disappointed and won't be returning to the store.

Terrible customer service. The store manager is really rude and disrespectful when I chat with him about my return item.

NEVER EVER RELY ON THE CLOWNS AT OFFICEWORKS CHATSWOOD. This is the place where administrative nightmares are created. If you place your trust in this alleged place of business, you are a trusting fool who did not carry out due diligence by reading reviews; visiting the site 'managed' by disinterested teenagers and their superior 'kidults'. The oldest human in the store is the 25 yo with the forklift license who at least can claim plausible deniability for not being able to assist you!
I had to visit FOUR TIMES to attempt to rectify all of the mistakes which were made by this 'team'.
The simplest of tasks can be F'd up by this lot. They do not check that all pages are scanned. They do not save the scanned documents as promised. They do not email scanned documents as promised, or if they do, multiple lines are cut off and the content is apparently scanned diagonally.

I am several weeks behind in a project, short of several reams of paper and two cartridges of printer ink: All because I foolishly expected a basic level of competence from Officeworks staff.

Went to office works a few weeks ago. A lady helped me but said she’s going on break and her colleague will help me. Her colleague was busy printing my passport photo and said he would be back to assist once it has printed. Fast forward 20mins. The colleague was gone and I was still waiting. Eventually I asked another staff member to call the person and realised that the photo had been sitting here for 15mins. Extremely bad service.

All the reviews are right
Worst store, do not order anything from here. They never told me my order had been delivered to the store, received no email. Had to follow up constantly. Basically took my money and got nothing back. Was told I’d get a refund and heard nothing for two weeks.

Don't have a problem with this store. Bought a monitor last week and an asian guy with a huge hair fringe and korean name helped me out. Seems very knowledgeable and helpful. Don't see why people give this place bad reviews. They are doing the best they can.

Waste of time.

I got an error when I try to print my documents out in my USB.
The staff was not attentive to solve this issue and kept making me waste my balance on my office work pre-paid card.

I’m not visiting this store at all.
