Dead Ringer reviews
87I love this place! Quiet end of Bourke street, including outdoor porch dining and high top tables inside for socialising. Wine is very good value, they also have a variety of orange wines on their menu. Dead ringer serve my favourite charcoal and quinoa gluten free bread baked at Nonie’s. We enjoyed the cured trout the most so try it out, but there are multiple more gluten free options available!
Cute place to go for bottomless brunch. Organised a bridal brunch for my friend here and Adam was a pleasure to talk to. Made things really easy for me and they also had vegan options which was great for me and some of my vegan friends! Definitely recommend!
The food was very boring considering the interesting way its described in the menu and the price. Some of the staff were friendly some were absolutely not interested in being there. Very disappointing.
Really delicious food (I'm still dreaming about the cheesecake custard dessert. Unreal!). Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and good service. Will be coming back:)
New to Sydney we were invited along for a long lunch. Ordered the set brunch menu ($40pp) with bottomless mimosa's. Enjoyed the long tables and overall feel of the place. The food was yummy and enough for the afternoon. Staff were great, accommodating, making sure everything was going smoothly. It was mentioned that the mimosa's were on the weak side but hey - who's complaining - an enjoyable casual afternoon
Such a great brunch spot. We sat outside in the coldest July day in 11 years, but still had a lovely time. The share brunch was a great taster of all the good stuff and our waiter was genius and funny! Please please start making hot coffee. My only request. Everything else. Perfection!
Great food and some very nice cocktails! Check out the port cocktail which is served with an iceberg sized ice cube.
Had the set brunch menu. The food was pretty average. For the $39 a head, I was expecting something a little more complex and to be honest - more food! The food here is a far cry from places like Two Chaps and Conersmith and more expensive.
Friendly staff, very tasty food, good red wine, however the portion sizes were very small and the bill was very large. We all left feeling hungry and had to go up oxford street for another feed. They also took our umbrella on entry, and when we went to leave it was missing so they just gave us someone else’s.
Awesome cocktails, friendly staff with great knowledge, haven't tried the food but friends rave about it.
Great food in a simple, casual interior. Good for small catch ups, the space is not that large. Dishes are plated up very well and the fish etc is cooked to perfecting. I would definitely go here again, if in the area.
Great staff, and location, but the food was overpriced for the quality/size and sitting inside was really hot and stuffy (night time, 24'C outside).
Modern Australian offering more creative choices than your standard glazed pork belly, decent wines and cocktails, great outdoor seating.
Charismatic Chef and passionate Crew. Nice light food from middle east till europe. Fair price good quality. Relaxed atmosphere. Regards to Dany the kitchen Manager:)
Great deco, friendly and professional service. Interesting cocktail menu. I had a really good experience here.
Had a wonderful dinner with my mum, auntie and sister sitting in the booths in the restaurant. We had the $55 set menu. The restaurant was very accommodating with our last minute booking.
If you plan on having the set menu, mention it to them when you make your reservation.
Fantastic drinks and service! We really enjoyed the evening and Adam (bar manager) went above and beyond to serve us drinks catered to our tastes. We will definitely be back!
Food was great but waiters made it seem like we were bothering them when we asked for things and then kept rushing us out even though we had the booking for another half an hour
Drinks, food, staff. All brilliant. One of the best bars you could go to in Sydney. Vegan/vego friendly too!
A disappointing experience after all the hype about this place. Constantly felt we were being rushed to finish and leave. Menu is limited and food is average with small portions. The waiters had the audacity to make us process our eftpos payment on our own, very poor service.
