Dead Ringer reviews
87 It was a tale of great service, one delicious almond dish and four underwhelming gnocchi dishes at Dead Ringer on Friday night.
For those considering ordering the gnocchi and looking for a 4 in 1 review, you've come to the right review. My friends Emily, Grant and Greg and I ordered the gnocchi (with herb & pinenut pesto and parmesan) and the scores are in.

The judges with a unanimous 6/10 overall for the gnocchi.
Rosie ordered the creamed almond and beetroot dish (she loves being different) which she gave an 8/10.
We all agreed the service was excellent and if you are someone who values having your water refilled quickly you'll be in heaven.
Sit out the front and enjoy wine and food. This is the best little gem in the area. Amazing food and the menu changes to keep it fresh. Great wine and cocktail list. Best service around. It is a must visit when in Sydney. Great for couples or big groups. Sitting outside is the best!
Lovely venue with excellent staff. Food was delicious however portion sizes are way too small for the price. Happy to pay those prices but needs to be a little bigger.
Great neighbourhood gem. Interesting food, well cooked. Attentive staff. Lovely to sit out on verandah. It's a pity it's in the shade.
Dead Ringer Restaurant will tantalise your tastebuds and excite your culinary senses! This is a very special experience that will keep you wanting to go back for more. We ordered several shared plates and each dish was fabulous. There’s a good wine list selection. The service was faultless and there are different seating options inside or on the terrace. Thank you
Great venue for a group booking of 7 between Christmas and New Years’. To be honest, we had low expectations due to the previous bar at this property but whoever is in the kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing. Steak was great, I still remember the sticky date and set menu overall was really impressive (normally there’s a dish or two that doesn’t work but it was great end to end). Top marks for service, super responsive to an unwieldy group with lots of special requirements and they were really accommodating and friendly.
Amazing food and service. Must try the roast chicken. Yummm. PS: Bring back the menu please. Hard to see through the phone.
We were walking past and commented on how it wasn't busy. Luckily a local lovely lady overheard us and pulled us up to inform us in how amazing the modern Australian menu was. We ordered so many items and stand outs were the chargrilled prawns, and the parfait for entrees. The pork belly and steak were both on another level of perfection along with delicious brocollini and potato gratin (as Eastern Europeans we know our meats and potatoes). The service was friendly and on point. What a great find! Highly recommend and we shall definitely be back! Thank you team you were amazing and see you again soon ️
Chose Dead ringer because we have one of our party with some significant Dietary requirements.was not disappointed, they were excited to have a range of options to try.
Food was great, Dietary food was also amazing.
Shout out to the waitress who took care of us for her patience and knowledge (did not get her name)
Will be back.

Excellent establishment. Staff were courteous and professional throughout our dining experience. The interior is modern and tidy with a secluded dining area tucked away from any road noise.
The bottomless brunch service is great, the food quality is excellent and the drinks provided during this are more than adequate! Would happily recommend Dead Ringer to anyone looking to enjoy a decent brunch.
I went to this restaurant with clients and colleagues. The vibe, food and service were excellent. It totally fitted the brief. Next time I am in Sydney, Ill be there.
The food has gone down hill immensely im unsure what has happened but the portions have been greatly minimised and the taste of them is truly not up to par to what they used to be it is unfortunate that the experience wasn't amazing as I have previously come here and had a great time with my friends.
Worst bottom brunch ever! Average drinks, mediocre food. Also the food is a bite a person and didn't taste good at all. Went when they had a peach and cheese dish. I'm lacto but love peaches and friend who randomly doesn't like peaches but cheese asked if they could being the peaches and cheese seperate, this was a "no" from the server. Weird as the peaches were served with fresh cheese on top, which I'm sure the kitchen could handle just not adding it and putting it on a seperate dish. Anyway table of 9, one piece of really bread each, the peach thing, a sliver of some gross quiche, splitting 1/2 a chook 3 ways, and salad. Not worth it
Good food and service. We had the set menu and it was delish. For a casual dining place on a Saturday night, it’s worth trying. Though it can get noisy and we could hardly hear each other over the table.
Service and cocktails 10/10. Probably the best margaretas I've had. Get a level 10 spicy margareta.
One of the worst restaurants I’ve ever been. Food was terrible, service was bad, and everything was way overpriced. Highly do not recommend.
The bottomless brunch menu was amazing. Even the pescatarian with us was blown away. Also the best mimosas I have ever had. Fabulous service.
Came here for their brunch menu. It was delicious and we left full. The chicken and focaccia was a highlight. There is no espresso machine so the only coffee options were batch brew and cold drip. The staff were lovely and attentive. I would definitely recommend
I came here recently with a group of girls for a bottomless brunch. We all agreed it was the best bottomless we’ve experienced in Syd. We arrived early before our table was ready and the staff were super accomodating - they sat us on a different table and offered to start the drinks early. We were never without a drink the whole time - I actually couldn’t keep up with the pace the staff brought out fresh drinks! The mimosas were great and food was even better. Will definitely be recommending this place and coming back - thank you!
The food was delicious and very well presented. Every staff member that served us was incredibly professional, polite and had real genuine positive vibe. We had the set brunch menu that had a great variety of food and the option of the bottomless drinks was incredibly good value as the staff continued to bring out new drinks without needing to ask. Highly recommended.
