86Nice Japanese inspired restaurant in a cool location. Food is very tasty, with service being friendly and helpful. Love the Yuzu iced cocktail. A great place to enjoy time with friends and family.
Awesome, modern Japanese inspired food (doesn’t really follow straight tradition), great cocktails too.
Up market Japanese food.
Did the set menu and matching sake which was yummy.
Cocktails were sublime. Would hang here just for cocktails.
Try the fish collars and eggplant on a skewer.
You are seated very close to your neighbour so I would not recommend this place for business discussions, but it's fine for social if you don't mind overhearing everything.
They are truly good at cooking prawns with kombu butter in Sydney. I was so angry that I'd never had prawn food at this level for entire life.
I would give Cho Cho San four and a half stars. Most of our orders went down really well. Our last dish, however, a spicy noodle dish, was a monstrosity. Gluggy, slushy and soggy. It almost felt like a mistake. I wish we hadn’t received this dish, as the overall experience was divine. It is set in a picturesque part of Macleay St.
My fiance and I dine here at least once every 8 weeks. Our favourite restaurant in Sydney by far. Extensive choices on the menu, updated specials every time we visit, flavourful cocktails and a buzzy, social atmosphere. Service is exceptional. Would highly recommend.
