Cho Cho San

We were so impressed with our dinner at Cho Cho San. We were greeted at the door and were seated in a very comfortable booth for our group of 7. My husband received a birthday dessert which was very unexpected. The food was fabulous - a beautiful menu. When we were leaving the manager wished my husband a personal Happy Birthday! This was such a surprise. We had a wonderful dinner and will definitely be back. Thank you so much for the personal touch. This has never happened at any other restaurant we have visited.

H o l y s h i t. This is it. This is hands down my favourite Japanese restaurant ever. I cannot fault it. I have been here a few times and every time it hits the spot. The food is AMAZING. Edamame is my favourite entree, the ocean trout and kingfish is to die for and that waygu steak they do oh my! To finish off, that Mochi black sesame is the best thing in the world, I want some to take them home! Must try! Cocktails are great too. The vibe inside the restaurant is super chill and isn't too loud that you can't hear what the person next to you is saying! Love love love love love. I will be back!

A favourite spot in Sydney.contemporary Japanese.very fresh, great produce, and tasty food. A great selection of options with decent portion sizes.staff are friendly and the restaurant is gorgeous, always with a great buzz about it

Had a lovely ambiance to the place for a special occasion. It did not look like nearly enough food for a group dining experience especially the fried rice portion sizes - anyone with an above average appetite may struggle but I was eventually full enough. The duck was the definite highlight with a wonderful combination of flavours, as was the kingfish.

Been there many times for many different occasions and the food is so consistent and tasty. It’s a great group dining experience, highly recommend to try this place, staff are really friendly too! I can’t say I have a favourite dish because they all taste equally delicious.

Well.not sure why I haven’t made it to Cho Cho San earlier!
It was SO GOOD! Swapped out dessert & one of the starters for the stuffed calamari and it was 100% worth it. First few dishes of seafood & pork bun paired perfectly with the Petit Chablis from Pierrick Laroche.think white stone or oyster shell.crisp, subtle lime zest and minimal acidity - let it breathe and open up a bit before you dive in.patience is key - but totally worth it! Great value banquet, friendly and fun staff, great wine list. Can't wait to go back. I've been dreaming about that stuffed calamari for days!

Their set menu is amazing! I can’t fault any dish, and service was impeccable! Good wine selection too. I’d only fault the cocktails the quality is not worth of cocktail prices. I will happily keep returning!

This was my first dining experience at Cho Cho San after reading many good reviews on the establishment. Instead of tasting menu, we went for ala carte and also had cocktails and wines. Food was delicious and service was adequate. Hightlight for me was the Edamame Nori Togarashi, Pork Katsu Steam bun and Kombu Butter Prawns. Recommended.

Very good Cho Cho San feast most especially the pork katsu steam bun and the kombu butter on the prawns is to die for! Even the edamame togarashi was enjoyable. Overall, great dinner experience. ️ Thumbs up to Alex as well.

Always love trying out for new things. Glad this came up on our to do list. Food was fresh and well cooked. Price maybe a little on the higher side but happy with our experience all the same!

The food, service and atmosphere were all amazing! Couldn't recommend it enough. Will be back soon.

Absolutely amazing Japanese in Potts Point. Had Saturday night date night here and loved everything, if I had to pick a fave it was the pork katsu. Also try the green tea soft serve. Thanks Cho Cho San!

The food has great flavours and nicely put together. Friendly service by the staff. The restaurant is has a good vibe, simple clean design.

Reasonable price and good serving size.

Ok, it’s loud. It’s packed but it’s bloody brilliant.
On a Tuesday night where it’s expected to quiet, its buzzzzzzing.
Staff stand on toes so they can get through the tightly packed tables, smiling as they go by.
The food comes out quite quickly, and it’s a rush to get to the most sensational kingfish, and trout.
Prawn Baos are outstanding and as an apology for a slight service error, we get a range of desserts, and every one is sensational.
Staff are damn amazing, hope they are tied to the kitchen door so they can’t escape.
Bloody bloody bloody bloody brilliant.

Creative foods and friendly staffs, great interior inside.we ordered tuna salad with avocado mash, scampi salad and lamb cutlets. Everything was good.

Absolutely love this place. Delicious food full of flavour, wonderful, attentive staff, nice atmosphere and great tunes. What more could you want? One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney.

We ate at Cho Cho San the other evening and had a fantastic meal. The food was delivered promptly and was delicious. However the man serving us was surly, rude, got out order wrong and didn’t care in the slightest.

Amazing. Walked in, had a bit of a wait, host was super accommodating and gave us some free bubbly and edamame to make up for it.

Get the prawns, life changing. Trout was good too.

Always delightful. Great, mod Japanese. It gets very loud in there, which I don't like, but so does every other restaurant in Sydney these days. The eggplant miso stick is super tasty, as well as the tempura okra and the spicy pork udon noodles.
