Yarralumla Gallery and Oaks Brasserie reviews
64We had a ladies group afternoon tea outside in a semi private part of the garden and it was really lovely. The food platters were delicious, all tastes catered for and there was plenty of food and the service was attentive. We all enjoyed it and we will be back again.
Went for breakfast and ordered a bacon and egg roll and a big breakfast, took 1h to get the food and then the eggs were over cooked and the avocado wasn't ripe. Won't be going back anytime soon
Nicely prepared and presented brunch served outside in the gardens due to covid. Great grounds for a 2 year old to run and explore. Large meals. Only negative was my coffee was cooler than I asked for. Nice flavour though.
Great little setup of tables and chairs in various gardens. Staff are friendly, dogs welcome and even catered for. Lovely cafe
Cute cafe in a delightful setting.expect service with some parochialism (coordinating the seating of a large table of guests and the taking of same guests' extensive meal orders with the kitchen's closing time did prove too challenging on the day)
Thank you so much for a fantastic work for our wedding on Saturday. We had a fantastic time & all of our guests went away extremely content with the food and quality of service Rhys and the team provided. The staff looked happy & ambience created was perfect for our garden themed wedding. Highly recommend them for guests with diverse dietary requirements as they were able to cater delicious food for no onion/garlic allergy, vegan, vegetarian & gluten free needs. Their event management & expert attention to detail made our wedding an incredible success! The banana gluten free dessert is a must to try as well as the beef goulash, which are available in the cafe experience as well!:) Thank you YGOB for the most beautiful food and heart warming service x
I ordered the quinoa salad today. All but $20. LOTS of quinoa with some rocket, feta and roasted sweet potato. A few slivered almonds and dressing. Not good value for money and unimaginative salad. Won't eat there again.
Had lunch there. Totally disorganized, and with the internet not up to speed totally crippled. Had to chase our coffee & meals. The location is beautiful, pity about service. If only staff resorted to manually taking orders, but no, they stood there looking like deer in headlights not knowing what to do next. The only paper option available was a pad of pink post it notes
Love this cafe, great food & great atmosphere. I’ve always found the staff willing to go out of there way to help us.
Awfully expensive and poor quality. Tea showed up cold and so strong it could have been cut with a knife. Food arrived arrived 45 mins later and again was cold. Never again.
Really beautiful location for lunch or coffee. Several gluten free cake choices available, and good coffee. The stand out here was the scenery though, as the majority of seating is outside in a garden patio area. Plenty of space for wheelchair movement as the tables are well spaced in the patio area
A day time cafe that doesn’t have an all day menu and the kitchen closes between 11.30-12 and they don’t tell you you can’t order food until 11.29. Staff are rude and poorly organized which is such a shame given it’s such a beautiful setting. Hopefully it gets better!
The food wasn’t anything special, but also not terrible. The draw is the location as it was a beautiful place for a walk and just to sit outside with some friends.
Great service and am absolutely beautiful scenic cafe.
We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and sun.
Our meals were delicious and super speedy to come out and I’m sure the the owners are coffee lovers because the coffee was on point!
I’ll definitely be back.
A cafe located in a beautiful location, however the establishment itself is without a doubt, absolutely terrible.
Today's experience was interesting to say the least.
We ordered 2 take away coffee's whilst we were the only 2 customers there and proceeded to wait 25 minutes. The coffee's finally arrived, on a tray in mugs carried by the waitress looking incredibly confused as no one was seated outdoors. After walking around for a few minutes, they finally realised that they had stuffed up. After waiting a further 5 minutes, we were finally given our takeaway coffee's, lukewarm at this stage and for some bizarre reason, half full.
I would avoid this place. Even when they are quiet, they can't quite get it right.
Cold starter came after main
One party member ordered pork and when the rest of the party had finished and we enquired about the pork were told there wasn't any and they bought out a kids meal of nuggets and chips
They at least refunded the difference
Great fathers day lunch.
The positive is a lovely sunny outdoors area. Always loved this about the cafe over many years, covid friendly too. Not sure if there is a change in ownership, four different breakfast meals ordered overpriced for the quantity on each plate. The lady in charge thought nothing of raising her voice chastising the floor staff in front of us. Best come and have coffee & cake to enjoy the setting.
Nice to see this place open. Its a nice little spot with a good outdoor area to sit. At this moment they are not letting people sit inside during covid. The food was delicious and staff friendly. Its a nice little escape and great place to stop along a walk or ride around the lake.
My boyfriend's $20 salad was a little bit smaller than entree sized. Left hungry. The wait staff were nice, and the location is beautiful.
Beautiful restaurant in an idyllic outdoor setting, but room for improvement. There were communication issues with the waiter who took our order; my brother asked for tomato and onion to be taken off the burger he ordered however they did not take it off and served it to him with the tomato and onion still on. My Mother asked for a hot chocolate and got served coffee instead.
That being said it is a beautiful place to sit; flowering green gardens, lovely trees, pretty and aesthetic tables and decorations. The outside seating in closed off tent heated by heat lamps was still lovely and warm despite the cold Winter temperatures. I enjoyed the food, and I would recommend their iced coffee (maybe in summer instead of winter though:) ).
Overall 3.5 stars; communication could be improved on the waitstaff’s part to get our order right next time, but overall it was really great experience with gorgeous surroundings.
