The floor hadn't been swept bird poo could be seen around. The quality of the meal was less than average

Burnt burger, horrible chips, too pricey for what it is.
"Less than ordanary" - dad.

Horrible and cold food. I asked the waitress to replace my bacon, she said she would but never returned. It was like they didn't replace it on purpose. Paid huge price for the big breakfast but 2 tiny cold sausages, 2 cold eggs and lots of horrible cold bacon which I didn't eat and asked to be replaced. The French toast was pretty unpleasant too. The only good thing about this place is the desserts and coffee are really good, and of course the location is amazing and dog friendly.

Lovely surrounds but the service and lack of systems and customer focus is awful. This place hasn’t changed in years and each time I go - they obviously haven’t read their reviews - which says it all. Last weekend 1 hour wait we were told just for coffee - even with a reservation. How this business survives I do not know. Relies upon the setting - shame

Went there today with six girlfriends for lunch. We booked for 1100hrs.parking was atrocious. Most of us arrived at our table about 1110 hours, placed our lunch order at 1130hrs to be told our coffees would not be available for 45 minutes and my zucchini balls would not be available for an hour. Then they refused to take coffee orders. Seriously never, never come here. I have never been to a cafe in Canberra that has stopped taking coffee orders. I ordered a hot very hot flat white, it took 45 minutes and was severed cold, I sent it back, extremely disappointing. Don’t try this cafe, over priced and the wait time, unbelievable. I will never return, please tell your friends

Went for breakfast and ordered a bacon and egg roll and a big breakfast, took 1h to get the food and then the eggs were over cooked and the avocado wasn't ripe. Won't be going back anytime soon

Awfully expensive and poor quality. Tea showed up cold and so strong it could have been cut with a knife. Food arrived arrived 45 mins later and again was cold. Never again.

A day time cafe that doesn’t have an all day menu and the kitchen closes between 11.30-12 and they don’t tell you you can’t order food until 11.29. Staff are rude and poorly organized which is such a shame given it’s such a beautiful setting. Hopefully it gets better!

A cafe located in a beautiful location, however the establishment itself is without a doubt, absolutely terrible.

Today's experience was interesting to say the least.

We ordered 2 take away coffee's whilst we were the only 2 customers there and proceeded to wait 25 minutes. The coffee's finally arrived, on a tray in mugs carried by the waitress looking incredibly confused as no one was seated outdoors. After walking around for a few minutes, they finally realised that they had stuffed up. After waiting a further 5 minutes, we were finally given our takeaway coffee's, lukewarm at this stage and for some bizarre reason, half full.

I would avoid this place. Even when they are quiet, they can't quite get it right.

Cold starter came after main
One party member ordered pork and when the rest of the party had finished and we enquired about the pork were told there wasn't any and they bought out a kids meal of nuggets and chips
They at least refunded the difference
Great fathers day lunch.

This was a shockingly horrid waste of money. 8 ppl not one compliment. The food was so bad I had to seek out s&p (like ask around) and hot sauce to give it flavour.
I can’t emphasise how horrible the product was.
One guy had the goulash and the dog barf product was hot but the saffron rice was cold. He gave it to the dog at the table.
Mushroom risotto was $23, tasted like cream not mushroom.
The chicken burger w charcoal bun was a dry piece of chicken on Turkish toast w Mayo. Deal at $22.

I hated every minute.

Waited 25 minutes for a cup of coffee and cake. Other customers got their food and drink before me even when I placed my order first. I had to chase after my order twice.

If you’re going to this place for the atmosphere and to be surrounded by nature, then this cafe is a great spot. The food and service are extremely disappointing and not ideal at the price point. The poached eggs were solid and cold and the service left a lot to be desired. Would suggest the management look into the food quality and taste and provide a friendlier service.

Service was good and location is lovely, but sadly the food was very disappointing. Breakfast looked great, but that’s about it. The poached eggs were not freshly cooked being rock hard and cold; and the Big breakfast was barely warm with stone cold sausages and bacon, and hard fried eggs too. Also, bit tired of cafes serving latte as a cappuccino. The two are not interchangeable! Perhaps, it was just an off morning, but it wasn’t enjoyable. Very much felt like a bad cafeteria experience food wise.

Pros
- nice garden setting
- birds?
- coffee was decent - good
- bacon burger good
- prices reasonable
- pastries and cakes look delicious but didn't try

Cons
- scones microwaved. Jam and cream mediocre (whip can cream and standard woolies strawberry)
- Service and ordering is a bit odd. Find a table then come to counter and order

Disappointing customer service but decent coffee. Upon entry the waitress laughed at my partner and I as we had walked into the cafe to look at the cakes. It wasn’t clear why she was laughing. If we had walked into the shop incorrectly maybe you would benefit from have a clear entry setup and not display cakes with prices.

What a shame the service was so poor. It could have been such a beautiful experience as it’s a gorgeous spot.

Beautiful garden setting, dog friendly and great location. However we went on Sunday morning and waited over 30 mins for coffee and cake, which was very expensive.

We were part of a group that had booked the marquee only to find out on the day that the marquee was being shared with another group. We were crammed into one side. It was extremely busy, service slow, no room to barely get around the tables, largely disappointing.

I ordered the quinoa salad today. All but $20. LOTS of quinoa with some rocket, feta and roasted sweet potato. A few slivered almonds and dressing. Not good value for money and unimaginative salad. Won't eat there again.

Had lunch there. Totally disorganized, and with the internet not up to speed totally crippled. Had to chase our coffee & meals. The location is beautiful, pity about service. If only staff resorted to manually taking orders, but no, they stood there looking like deer in headlights not knowing what to do next. The only paper option available was a pad of pink post it notes
