This was a lovely surprise find. The staff are wonderful and we did not feel any pressure to leave. The food. Oh. My. God. It was delicious. I will definitely be back.

A pleasant place for dining. Good food and friendly Freya. The whole reef snapper with nduja sauce and spigarello was excellent. Also had one of the most satisfying fried potatoes (ala cafe de paris aioli), very crispy on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Worth a revisit.

On arrival told we only had 1hr 30 to finish and go. They had try again with my steak as it was over cooked the second streak was better but will never have another one there.

I dont go as often as I would like but it is always a great time! The milk bun sliders are a must and the three fried potatoes!

This place has got a great vibe, however my partner and I felt rushed as soon as we sat down. "You must leave by 8pm" we arrived for a 6.30 booking.
Meal was ok, Wagyu steak overcooked. My partner ordered medium rare. It was replaced by another, which was marginally better.

Everything was just ok.the kangaroo and the calamari was incredibly chewy. Lamb neck was overly fatty. Overall the starters were much better than the mains but still nothing to write home about. Desserts were perhaps the highlight.

Delicious food. Nice atmosphere, and we had a great waitress who really helped with our selection of food and drinks. Can't wait to go back again!

An oasis in the middle of Covid, we were accommodated at short notice with a table for two by the window. Delicious share plates and a fantastic wine menu and friendly attentive service.

Save room for dessert the apple donut is divine!

Ok. These are the most amazing things I’ve ever eaten in my whole entire life. They are like little pillows of love. I’m not sure I should be saying this, but they could be almost better than bacon. If you’ve ever imagined what food might taste like in heaven, this could be it. I want to bathe in these.ok, maybe not but can you tell that I absolutely love them?

Young George is a great venue, looks funky vibrant and relaxing. Love the cellar. But please, you are NOT fine dining so stop charging $38 for a tiny piece of King fish, with nothing but three wilted spinach leaves. When you add, the extras (roast potatoes, carrots etc) you're looking at $50 for a quick lunch. Stop being pretentious and just be yourself.

I was here in Early Jan 2021. Having heard all about it from friends, decided to take a friend down there for dinner. Unfortunately, we were both a bit full from lunch, but the drinks that we got were just enough to get our stomach's ready for a appetizer.the Beef Tartare.omg - that was just amazing - I think they had deep fried jalapeno's on top, but the flavours were just amazing.

I've got to say - the staff there - they were truly professional, second to none. They are one of the reasons that we'll be back. AND THE COCKTAILS WERE AMAZING - check them out - GO HERE!

We cannot express our dissatisfaction and disappointment in this restaurant.
If we could give a 0 we would.
It was not overly crowded. We were celebrating a birthday in the family. It took over 1/2 hour to get a waitress to take our order from a very limited menu. We asked for sparkling water and bread. The water failed to appear and we had to ask for the bread more than once. The meal took 90 minutes to arrive.
Others in the restaurant were served before us even though they had arrived well after us.
The waitresses looked bored and was not particularly interested in serving us. Shame on management for such pathetic service.
The meal came at different intervals for each of us.
The cos lettuce was gritty with dirt
We had organised for a birthday dessert but decided to leave as the entire experience was completely disappointing and we will not be returning.
Our host was so angry he left the restaurant as soon as he paid and he had not checked his bill- we discovered on arriving home that we were charged $16 for the sparkling water that failed to arrive. I called Sue, the owner of the restaurant, to discuss our very poor experience and also asked that she phone our host in order that the $16 be paid back to him. Not a word form her. Shameful.
What a waste of hard earned money.
Go to Little Creatures instead.

PS after reading the response form the owner

The owner has accused me of not giving an honest report.
Shame on her
The report was honest
Still have not received the $16 she owes us
She promised a voucher (which we really are not too excited about after our experience there) with the $16 added on to it. The voucher has not yet been receieved by our son in law. The owner told his father that she took umbrage to my review. Constructive criticism clearly doesn;t help in her case. She has made our experience far worse with her arrogant attitude. Our daughter said she has no use for such a voucher because she would not want to return.

Popped in for the Sunday roast lunch special, and found so little to fault at this gorgeous little neighbourhood bar.

The service is prompt and friendly, the range of food items and drinks covers nearly all the bases, and the serving sizes were great for the price paid.

We added to the Sunday Roast special the fried potatoes with cafe de paris butter, and the milk bun with mi goreng fried chicken.

The potatoes are crispy crispy fried on the outside, and mostly soft fluffy on the inside. The sauce is DELICIOUS! For $10, definitely better than the usual basket of McCain's that usually gets served up at neighbourhood bars.

The milk bun- $8 ea, and great combination of flavour, my only problem with this is it could have had more seasoning (read: salt) on the chicken, and the tangy sauce was so good, I would heartily approve it being saucier.

On to our mains- and the reason we chose to lunch here, woodfire roasted pig. $26, and includes a glass of wine. The worst part of the dish was the most delicious Smokey Crackle was a small (ish) piece. Perfectly roasted pumpkin, native thyme savoury bread pudding, with a touch of pickled cabbage.

Will definitely be coming back, and bringing more friends.

I must admit it was difficult to give an accurate rating because our experience started off very enjoyable but got worse as the night went on. The young waitstaff were welcoming, friendly and attentive however the older female manager named Christie or Chrissie made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and rushed. Towards the end of our meal she made us shift down the table and squeeze on the end because there was apparently another booking. Turns out no one came. She never asked politely and came across very rude. She kept asking if we were finished as if she was trying to get us to leave. Lastly, she came over and told us there was a booking arriving at 8: 30 then just walked away, rather than asking us politely if we would like the bill. We spent the night feeling awkward and unable to relax and enjoy our time. Disappointed as the food was delicious and the younger waitstaff were great.

Great venue in East Fremantle. Shared meals or if you prefer something just for yourself. Nice wine choices to back up the diverse menu.

We really enjoyed our visit to Yong George. The food was amazing. The pork belly and vegimite beef are the stand outs. The restaurant is also an interesting building with great atmosphere. I have to mention the service as well the staff were very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this one.

I ordered an iced coffee and waited 30 minutes for it and they gave me an iced chocolate. Bad service but good food.

This small bar is so beautiful, lovely chill atmosphere, friendly staff. Reccomend the buttermilk chicken broiche burgers with the coleslaw. Perfect size and nibble with a glass of bubbley. The roast potatoes are also a great accompaniment.
