The Merrywell Perth reviews
82We had fish Tacos and beef slidders as a snack before gambling. We were blown away. Absolutely yummy. The food alone will bring us back to crown
I had a bad experience. It was my first time at Merrywell and one of the bartenders tried to take advantage of me when I was drunk. He charged me $34.00 for a spicy margarita. I had to ask their manager to give me a refund, which I have yet to receive.
Giving this place a 3 stars because they are generous with their alcohol.
Great food and service. Would definitely recommend the cheese burger
Only negative was it was a bit expensive
Our place every time we have catch up or something to celebrate from work.
We can easily order what we want and pay individually. Our last group dinner we we're lucky to have the manager offered us a bottle of wine, for working hard in Hospitality in the Hospital.
We booked a couple of tables for a birthday, and we advised the restaurant of the ages attending the dinner. Then got kicked out at the door. They even had 5 adults accompanying them. Your action ruined the child's birthday dinner. The security made scene, demanded IDs when they were leaving the restaurant.
Food is average, i ordered the nachos they are MASSIVE but mostly nacho chips not much of the good stuff, cocktails are good although ours took aaages to make, Has a good happy atmosphere
Nice ambience and good food! Serving size is huge! Must order the nachos and we realize later on that you can’t bring back unfinished wine bottles. Overall really good experience!
Had the pleasure of dining with my family last night at the Merrywell, the meals weren’t expensive, well cooked, generous servings and delicious, going again. I had the Chicken Bowl Salad.
Venue and food are fine. But I've never been here and not waited 40+ minutes to be served a below average drinks (if they get them right)
Terrible place for a work function or Xmas party, rude, unhelpful and disorganised staff. Wrong menu provided, can’t order drinks from the function table getting a drink at the bar took 15-20 minutes. Staff walked into people twice spilling their drinks. Coke mixer ran out at the bar and they were just pouring water into drinks when asked to replace the toilet water result they became argumentative until one of the staff tried the mixer themselves and realised it had run out. No apology at any point. At the end of the night waited 20 minutes to get a receipt and was then told they couldn’t get the computer to print a copy. Worst possible experience.
Was ok.food average, service average. Had no lime juice for margaritas which didn't impress, and judging my the vomit smell at the bar the whole place needs a good clean
Rating is it's OK and that's because it has been and could be better. Food is certainly tasty and have always liked the jalapeno poppers with blue cheese dipping sauce. Not so good for you but tastes very good. Fish tacos and a favourite as well. However it would be great to have done more service staff, you really do wait quite a while to get a drink. 2 people behind the bar on a busy Thursday evening is not good enough for a place like Crown. Good place to catch up, a tasty now to eat and a child drink.
Food was good and came out nice and quick but it took so long to get a drink and there wasn't even too many people waiting. Wouldn't stop me coming back though.
So very disappointed, the food mediocre at best, especially for the price, only 'allowed' 1.5hrs to sit at the table, for which we ate and we were buying drinks. Staff were nice and friendly tho, very polite about our 5 minute warning. Won't be in a big hurry to return thats for sure.
Love the food here. The nachos are to die for. Only small criticism is that I wo u ld love to see a better range of salads
I paid $58 for salt, salt and more salt. The food was so salty I couldn't really taste what it was.
Grew up in the US and have struggled to find good spicy buffalo wings.
I never go to the casino but my uncle was saying how great the wings were here, the best he'd had since being in Florida.
I ordered a round and WOW. The blue cheese sauce was amazing and absolutely complimented the chicken.
Piping hot and worth two orders each.
Would love to see the price drop to $15 as over $20 is a bit pricey for the small amount of food as it is a starter.
Fast and friendly service & delicious food. We had a few plates to share and all were cooked to perfection!
Great for groups catching up for a drink and pub food. We had a long wait to order food. Some dishes were a hit and miss. The chicken in the Korean fried chicken buns were overcooked and tough with a thick bun. You can help yourself to water and share plates.
Very casual dining. Popped in after the Charlie & the Chocolate Factory matinee as did many other families. Limited places to sit outside because the bulk of the tables had uncleared dishes on them. Restaurant definitely understaffed. We ordered Merrywell chips, bao buns, spicy chicken wings and nachos with pulled pork. Nachos & chicken wings were good but give the bao buns a big miss- way too bready and stodgy!
