The Denmark Tavern

This was a nice place to have a meal, even though it was a bit cold and rainy and the only seats available were outside. Minus 1 star as there are no plant-based meal options on the menu, but I ordered the bruschetta without the feta and a serve of the roasted vegetables. The food was delicious, the root vegetables were perfectly caramelised and the beans were fresh and crunchy. The bar staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice ambience especially the exterior seating area. Kids friendly with a nice playground just next to the dining area.
Yummy food! Beef cheek is so tender and delicious and compliments so well with the mash and steamed vege. Prawn rice was creamy and delicious too. The pasta of the day which is creamy chicken and mushroom is delicious too but I was hoping they warn us about the spiciness they had (as we ordered for the kids and realised its not kids friendly).
Such a great addition to the little town.

Reef and beef was amazing. A bit expensive, over $40, but good. Servers where friendly and efficient. Decor quaint.

Went in to ask about a table, got told they were fully booked quite abruptly. Disappointed as most places would at least make an effort to slot you in.

Lunch at tavern yesterday, Moroccan chicken salad was absolutely delicious, hearty and chockablock with good stuff (not just leaves). Prompt service with a smile. Thanks.

Racist staff not kids friendly.white kids were allowed to play pool but when my kids was playing pool with me he was denied by arrogant bar staff.

Quite rude in my opinion. Our first night in Denmark and thought we would go for a meal. Walked in and everyone stopped and stared at us because we weren't from around there and when we went through to the restaurant, the woman very bluntly told us that they were fully booked with an empty restaurant.

Had an incredible steak sandwich the steak was so tender. The service is good star you order and next minute your meal is delivered to your table. Friendly staff. You should try it.

Amazing food. We ordered parmigiana and prawns (entree size). Parmigiana cooked perfect. Outside crispy inside juicy. Prawns perfect seasoning with rice. Cocktails are good as well.

Food was fantastic, ambience lovely. Not a disable friendly venue though. My blind partner had a bad fall where the disabled bay is.maybe fix it before we're back next year plz.

Amazing place with fantastic food and service. Playground for the kids and perfect atmosphere for a great day out. 10/10 will be back.

Deep fried Nannygai immediately took my eye but sadly had to use 3 thick Serviettes to try to soak up oil sodden batter. As a Chef think the deep fryer was being overworked & not being allowed to come back to temp. Peeled batter off.
Fish itself beautiful. Garlic bread & Dukkah great. Garlic Prawns ok.

Sadly calling ribs "Asian" is not what it is.fried rice very soggy & certainly not Asian.

A chicken parmi + extra side is more than enough food for two people, such a large serving! Saw another table order the fries bowl, and it was bucket sized, just crazy. A good place to go for warm, hearty filling food. They also have a lovely fireplace. Only downsides were getting charged $3 for aioli, and being told the indoor restaurant seating area is fully booked but 3/4 of the place was completely empty from start to finish of eating our meals outside in the outdoor bar area. Perhaps they track dinner bookings by blocking out each table as booked for the entire night?

Nice setting. A good place for a pub grub with the open fire. Had the Calamari and Pork Ribs. Very nice indeed. It’s one of them places that doesn’t look much from the outside until you go in.

Either the manager or owner is an idiot but the bar person saved it for thr night such simple honest people can make a night:)

Great steak nah it was bloody amazing and a true rare and my wife said the Morrocan chicken salad was to die for, service was friendly and the fire was an absolute winner.

Very nice place if you want somewhere quiet to eat. The menu is impressive. With the upgrades to make this venue more appealing outside, The Denmark Tavern is good for a small gathering or if you are taking a family there.

They offer you a beautiful view outside and there is an option if you like to seat inside the restaurant or you can sit at the bar.great place to enjoy your lunch or dinner with your family or love one

Loved the cosy little pub and the the country resteraunt next door, even has a TAB, real country feel like you are away from home

Food was absolutely lovely, when it arrived. But after queuing for 20 minutes to order it, and then not having it arrive for a further hour and 20 minutes, I didn't feel it was worth it.
