Six Senses Gourmet Thai reviews
71 All in all we had a good dinner experience here. Good prawns, good lamb. The meals seemed ‘westernized’ so it wasn’t the most authentic Thai experience in my opinion.
Service was good but not perfect, we got our entrees served at different times so only one of us got to eat. Otherwise the staff had been observant and helpful especially regarding allergy advise.
We’d visit this place again.
In this world of instant gratification, it always surprises me how any of us have the patience to wait at a restaurant anymore. Went for lunch, wait between order and food was almost an hour. One redeeming quality was the food, it has to be said. The duck was succulent and well matched with the Thai salads and vegetables. Was it worth the hour wait? I am inclined to lean yes rather than no, but it must be said that shaving 10 or 20 minutes of that time would only improve their standing.
Food was good, however service was slow and the staff were not knowledgeable of their food and drinks. They for our order wrong and we got our mains at different times.
Authentic decor, friendly staff, food is tasty and delish. The ambiance is very oriental and classy. A little bit more expensive than average restaurants but worth checking out. Overall a very good experience!
The service was terrible. For such a nice looking "gourmet" restaurant, we were super disappointed. We got seated to our table and were then ignored for ages until we had to put our hand up to order. We had 3 waiters throughout the course of our dinner that were all as bad as each other. They were rude and had a lot of trouble understanding what was a simple order. The food came out super quick which means it was all pre-made and just quickly re-heated.
One of the best Thai places I've been to in Australia, they even made the meals Vegan for my date and I.
The food was delicious! The service could be improved on. Not sure why we were given plastic plates and forks to eat our BYO Birthday cake with, this was a let down.
The restaurant's decor is outstanding with amazing setting, lightings and a small pond with candles. For me the food was very delicious but the portion was too little for the price. The coconut prawns was $11 for 4pieces and they were too small as well as the satay chicken which was 1/3 of the stick. Pad Thai was great. Definitely need to improve their portion size. Overall great food and decor.
Vibrant atmosphere for larger group dining. Very flavoursome food and well presented. They have a much wider selection of dishes compared to their smaller Subiaco branch.
1st time but won't be the last time, gr8 atmosphere, gr8 food, gr8 service, what more could you ask for.
Very different Thai restaurant more modern European than Thai inside.
The menu is not that big on choices but very nice presentation when it does.
For me portion sizes are too small for the price but food is tasty.
We had chicken satay and beef massaman I will try here again.
