Sail and Anchor reviews
80Awful service. Just been back and a year later and the service is still terrible. Rude bartenders who are too busy chatting or just collecting glasses.
Great spot for a session was up stairs in the corner with sun and relaxing on the lounge they have there couldn't get any better! Food is great staff are awesome
Food was good but they wouldnt close the blinds to keep the wing out so our food was cold almost as soon as it hit the table which was very disappointing
Definitely one of my favourite pubs in freo!
Always pop in for a quick beer with friends and maybe even a bite to eat. Great atmosphere, right on the Fremantle strip and lovely staff as well! A must see if you are in freo.
It’s located in a heritage building which is next to the Fremantle market. Good place to chill out with some nice food and drinks. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food came fast in good portions and tasted great, will come again.
Location is fantastic. But food was ordinary. Left Bank does way better chilli mussels. Chilli sauce is watered down to the max. Caesar salad was lack lustre. Disappointed in food. Can’t say the service was great either but on the plus it was quick.
Expensive meals that are very poor quality, every thing was burnt and dry and it took about an hour to get our food (somehow it was cold though). It used to be good but now it definitely isn't.
Very nice old building but restored in a modern way. Staff were great including the manager who bought me my jug from the downstairs bar. Great view of the street performers on weekends too
Very trendy new age small bottleshop with good variety and specials! Staff are very helpful and even do tastings almost every time I go there: P
Great ferry ride and looked at the different areas of the bay and where people live. Good views. People were very friendly. I highly recommend the reside. Just buy a ticket at a reasonable price.
Really nice food at a great price great selection of beers on tap i tried the sail and anchor raspberry mint and lime cider absolutely loved it had a fair amount of pints of it highly recommended this place
Restaurant was less than half full yet the staff were flat out. Understaffed. We were offered table service, I had to order at the counter from waiting too long. Then we were served the wrong wine and dirty wine glasses. The main arrived before the starters. The lamb was as tough as boot leather and the chicken sandwich had Kraft plastic cheese on it.
Overall a mediocre experience, the staff did all they could but I suspect an understaffed kitchen as well as a useless manager/owner.
IT would be nice to have a happy doorman working at the entrance not an arrogant person like the english dude you have now bring back Roger he has more class
Nicely restored old building with a great vibe. Have been going there years and really enjoy the variety of locally made beers. Always seems to be a good crowd and if you have little ones they're in a safe environment.
Always a tradition to go to this Freo famous Pub. Nice friendly staff. Monday night brings a surprisingly bright aptmosphere with a chatty fella behind the bar.
$15 pint & pizza on Mondays is very nice - only you don't get to choose the pint (little creatures only) & only 3 types of a personal sized pizza (1 veggie & 2 meat) are on offer. $8 for a 1/2 pint of ginger beer is a bit pricey as were the rest of their menu. Service was not great. I'd go again to try one of their other specials if pressed by friends - but would rather explore the other nearby pubs with posted menus that seem better value.
There were four IPAs on tap to choose from - which makes me happy - and the barkeep kindly brought me a refreshing glass of sparkly water, looking out for my best interests. Popular place for good reason.
Very beautiful pub with a great range of beers. Staff is very friendly. Left my jacket at the pub and Mitch helped me out very greatly with retrieving it
Closed at 6 pm on a Monday afternoon.and difficult to find, disguised as a pub with poor signage.
They advertise open until midnight. At 9.55pm an arrogant, lazy barman said "Nah. Shut. Nowhere open now. "
Not only will I not be back to your bottle'o nor your pub, thanks to you, I won't bother coming back to Freo. Nothing here. Waste of time.
