Sail and Anchor reviews
80Sail and Anchor staff went above and beyond for my son's 21st Birthday. The food was amazing, the service and professionalism fantastic from the organising to the end of the night. Everyone left feeling happy. Thankyou so very much for making special
This restaurant is the next stop for shoppers of Freo Market across the lane. It is always packed with patrons in the evening on Friday and weekends. I remembered I waited a long time just to grab a chair during that peak hour. This morning I popped by wanting to grab away a coffee. The barista told me to wait until 10 am. But I had to go. I will return for the coffee despite Little Creature may merry go round in my head. Cheers! (2021-10)
Lovely old building, very nice staff but probably the worst fish & chips I've ever had in Fremantle.
Nothing spicial. Something was wrong with the beer lines but i think i may have just been unlucky
Nice place, good atmosphere - Right next to Freo markets with windows facing the street performers/buskers. Has a Wheat Beer, (Redback) on Tap. (Personal preference) Staff were friendly - we only ordered Chips and Beers, but both were good
We went for lunch, the meals were quite delayed and left a lot to be desired BUT I couldn't fault the service, both behind the bar and the wait service
The dining room interior is gorgeous. I love the rope chandelier, I want it for my house. The food is tasty and there are options for vegetarians, vegans, and poor students that can't shell out $30 for a meal. I will say, I do miss their kimchi chips though.
I didn't enjoy my time there.
Tried to sit outside but so many homeless people fighting there.
We shared the seafood platter and the pulled pork potato skins. A perfect meal the food was absolutely delicious. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We sat in the downstairs roof open dining area, bright and cheerful ambience.
Love the Wedneday Chicken Parmiagana's and the staff are awesome. The chicken salad needs more chicken less rocket and more salad stuff.
Went there today I had the seafood platter before and today 3rd May not good at all the Moreton Bay bug had very little meat, the whole platter was not good at all.
I usually love this pub but not today not at all.
Also we watched a ladies dog pee right near our table, this does not add to the ambience at all
Atmosphere was great. The building was lovely but u fortunately the food was average. I was so disappointed with the steak $35 and I asked for med/well done. It came out soooooo over cooked, chewy and dry. The parmy was average.
Food ok. Lobster overcooked and way too much Chili is all the dishes. Toilets so bad I wouldn't use them.
Probably wouldn't go back.
Worst bar in town, ran by crooks pretending that « government rules » make it compulsory to buy food.at 4pm! We walked away because we don’t like to be disrespected by teenagers barely out of puberty. All we wanted was to enjoy a cold beer!
Nice old style pub good for basic beers and food, usually pretty busy and food can take a while to come out but it's okay. Dining room is brightly lit and a little off-putting so I stick to the front bar
Worst fish and chips of my life. Must have been reheated at least twice. Fish was dry and harder than the batter. Walked past in the evening and a full street fight was going on.
Good very central pub in Freo, good selection of beverages, good spot to sit on the up stairs balcony to sit and have a few beers
This is an awesome pub with a nice relaxed atmosphere. The balcony upstairs offers a nice view of the main street in Fremantle. Go and visit the Sail and Anchor. You will enjoy it and want to go back again. A nice place to visit with lovely cold drinks. I highly recommend you go there. Cheers and cold beers!
The staff here are so great and the food is always good, fresh and well priced. Olivia and the tall man at the bar who I think was a manager, both were amazing with customer service and asking for IDs/ refusing for intoxication (even though both Of their customers were getting annoyed about it) and they handled situations extremely well and calmly from what I could see! Will be back many times:)
Pints are good, but food wasn't tasty as expected for the price. Soft drinks are terrible asked for a sprite but got soda instead.
