We enjoyed a lovely Christmas Day at the Sail and Anchor. The day was perfect, food was delicious and good options for gluten free. The staff were helpful and friendly and the space and atmosphere was perfect for our table of 12

First time doing a Christmas lunch and I would definitely do it again. Value for money with the special touches added through the lunch. No one went home hungry.

We came here for dinner. The food was pretty good. Lovely ambience, especially on top in the cold weather.

Had the beer battered snapper and chips for lunch whilst sitting on the upstairs balcony. Absolutely delish and a great location. Good staff too.

My steak was to tough to eat, my friend started chewing his and spat it out, the amout of fat in the scotch fillet, he only had a tiny piece that seemed ok, put Sail and Anchor with Ciccerellos as the two worst places I have eaten in Fremantle.

Great venue, excellent atmosphere and friendly patrons. Really disappoint the steak sandwich is missing from their menu as an everyday item.

Food menu is not what it used to be.

Unfortunately the battered snapper was very bland. Had to use heaps of salt to get some taste. Everything else ok

The vegan fish and chips here is incredible! Every time I’ve had it has been the same super high standard. Pints are cheap (there’s always an $8 pint each day).

Staff are friendly and I’ve never had a bad meal here. Love this place.

One of many spots you must try when travelling in Freo. A TONNE choices of beers and other top drops.

DO IT! It won’t let you down.

No more mentioned creamy stout and resort to darkest ale but still a cool place to chill on autumn noon

I like this pub, it has some nice areas - each of them a little different. The food here is really interesting, while I'm not vegan, it's refreshing to see some great creative vegan options in a modern Australian pub like this. I was so curious I tried the vegan fish and chips (the fish made with banana blossom) it was good delicious (you might need to add a touch of salt). All the staff - security, bar and kitchen were all lovely.

Service very good; meal only so so. Fish over cooked; steak tough and chewy - it may have been frozen and quickly thawed. Probably give it a miss.

Recently visited this pub again.
Sorry in this day with Covid you can at least wipe down the tables. Absolutely gross.
But the seafood platter saves you from 1 star.

Went for dinner last night and the food was enjoyable, especially the steak. I was also surprised at how well priced the drinks were. However, my table ordered through the QR code and someone ordered a coke that never came. When the food came we mentioned that we hadn’t got the coke yet. The waitress replied bluntly saying, ‘I only do food. ’ and then walks away. Rude response and absolutely no help. In the end, we went downstairs to ask for it.

Compliments to the chef tonight for an amazing dinner, everything was delicious, the Brussel sprouts are to die for.

Such a disappointing lunch, it's not reasonable to wait for 20 minutes for chilled prawns which is already been cooked and ordered in, and a bowl of chilli mussels which is way over cooked and like rubber bullets, no feed back for the staff on asking how's the meal, questionable on qualification on the chef on cooking seafood, will not be returning to this venue.

Use to love this place now you cant go unless you have all the vacinations. Proof of them. My friends could supply but im heavily pregnant and wont get it. So i was refused service, if i supplied a medical certificate saying im not having it yet i was allowed to eat there. Waitress was the rudest person ive ever had to deal with there usually a great spot.

Nice bar relaxed feel. Staff are friendly and nice. Good to see a venue placing the words yorga and marmun even if its at the toilets most people wouldn't notice!
