Rockpool Bar & Grill

Lovely atmosphere, top of the range delicious food. Attentive and approachable staff. Also after pre flagging my 3 year old's food allergies during booking, on the day we arrived for our scheduled lunch, without having to re flag my child's allergies, we were given a separate menu for him that highlighted which dishes were specifically dairy and nut free. Overall great experience.

Recently took a client here for lunch and it was top notch.although i have been here a few times and it is a hit and miss

5th visit probably 5 too many times. $22 for some lettuce, few cherry tomatoes and some avocado. Steak was well overpriced and chewy, a piece of rump from woolies has been nicer. Rankin cod was great and so was service.

Very high class and the food is high quality. Customer service is great too. Definitely a recommend from me!

The staff are fantastic and so is the restaurant in itself but the food is below average. I’ve had far better meals for a far smaller coast. The 120 stake was pretty lovely but the rest was just bland.

Such good food! Well worth the price everything was delicious and service of course was impressive. Only down side, it faces the river but it overlooks a car park so doesn't compare to the Melbourne Rockpool view.

Definitely won’t be back. Very overly priced. I ordered pasta and expected a big bowl of pasta like every other restaurant gives you. But I literally got 4 pieces of pasta. You definitely don’t get what you pay for. I told the waiter I didn’t want nuts and raisins and it still came out with nuts and raisins.

Steak was so tough that i had to spit it on my plate
When we told the host her attitude was disappointing
I dont even know the name of our host as we were never told
Please bring back the old rockpool when the hosts really believed in the place

Dont think we will ever be back

Steaks are great, service is horrid. Been here maybe 5 to 6 times and each time it gets worse. A shame since we love the food but better places with food and service if looking for great steak.

Atmosphere: Great, Entre (King crab) : Excellent, Steak (aged 31 days) : Worst I ever had. Had steaks at other places (eg Bluestone, Hamilton NZ) and every time I have been there I just wished my steak didn’t finish. At Rockpool I just didn’t finish it, Mashrooms: tasteless, Sauces: tasteless. Overall: walked in the flames corridor with great expectations and walked out feeling like never wanting to come back.

Although it may have a great reputation, the food does not match the experience (or the price). You pay for the service (which is top notch) but the food is unsophisticated and does not deserve the associated price tag. I personally will not go out of my way for this restaurant.
