Place is lovely but.after paying $47 for campsite, we were shocked to be charged $30 entry fee. When booking we weren't told this. Not again.

What a joke to call this place a resort! Despite supposed upgrades to the place in recent years, all the facilities and rooms were substandard. Complete rip-off for the ridiculous prices they are charging. Rooms are not cleaned properly; I watched the housekeeping staff simply fold the used sheets up and put it back again for use by the next guest. Toilets and bathrooms were filthy too and everything was broken inside; taps fell apart, toilets didn't flush and showers ran like a trickle. Reception staff couldn't give less of a damn about the issues raised and brushed it off as the norm.

They've really done the resort up nicely. It used to have a bit of a backpacker feel before RAC bought it. It's an amazing holiday spot, so much lovely wildlife, incredible beach and the resort has everything you need.
We stayed in a chalet which was a treat for us, very modern and we'll fitted out. Would definitely recommend staying here no matter your budget.
And of course watching Dolphin's is lovely you will see them hunting in the bay most of the day.

Lovely place couple of issues
Optus phone coverage does not cover In Monkey mia or 20mins from the dolphin resort so be prepared as it seems a little out back on the route in and no signal its quite a bit of a walk you can get WiFi inside but can only use a Telstra network to make calls or reception are pretty helpful

Renovation of the resort great but your total idiots, people have just drove for 11 hours to be told at the entrance if closed write all your credit card details on a piece of paper and Put it in the slot box for parking, great security before booking in at reception can’t they put the two together da dumb
And before the dolphins turn up in the morning your not allowed on the beach don’t put your foot on the sand not allowed you will be told off by one of the pet trainers

We are now on our 12th stay and it's as good now if not better with all the improvements as it was first time we visited

Just came back from MM which has just had a $50M upgrade to the Park. Looks amazing now but I wonder how long will it last because very little maintenance is being carried out presently. Toilets and Showers were a disgrace with next to no cleaning done in the two weeks we were there. We also experienced electric tinkling sensation from the water taps which we had to reported on three separate occasions over 7 days before they started repair work. Power went off for 6 hours, not good when your camping. Fishing freezer was always full and the filleting table needed to cleaned. All this when the park was probably only 20-25% full. Over 1200 people expected there this Easter 2019. That will make it very interesting!

We rent a power suite (attached bathroom) at $76 per night at RAC Monkey Mia Dolphins resort, the bathroom just right beside our packing Lot.walking distant to the beach. It is very convenient, the kitchen is clean and big enough to accommodate 6 group of people cook at the same time, with oven & fridge for those who drive a car without Fridge.
The provide few type of accommodation depend on your need, camping site, power site, resort room, sea view room and etc.
The compound is big and just located at sea site,
The dolphins feeding will start every morning 7.30am, 5 mins walk from our power site suite to the visitor information center.
The Wild bottlenose dolphins visit the shore at Monkey Mia, we are so lucky to see the dolphins swim near to the shore through and flow few time in the afternoon.
So excited to close look at the dolphins, you can try you luck when you visit monkey Mia.it is fantastic & good experience.

Lovely campsite with loads of facilities which are pretty much brand new. Toilets/showers and kitchen area's are perfectly clean. Drinking water is on all unpowered sites. Always dolphins in the bay as well. The pool was nice and clean.
