Another example how Parks totally destroy an enjoyable experience -. Misinformation, talked at, rules +, parks are the only people who know, "do this do that", treated like idiots!

We are 70 year olds who had Monkey Mia at the top of our wish list - we come away in disgust and frustration.

Parks - it is not about you!

Nice place for a vacation. Some of the things to be aware of are…. Children can be very dangerous to pedestrians as they tend to go too fast on the pathways and not understanding the parks speed limits. The drivers of vehicles (cars) obey the rules but the park administrators have forgotten to sign post that the speed limit should apply to bicycles users etc. Pedestrians can be seriously injured if struck by a reckless rider.
Better or more pathway lighting is required.
Emus will eat food from your site if it is not secured.
Divots on the grassed area need to be filled in so no twists and injuries to ankles or a knee joint, some duty of care is most definitely required on this issue.
A lifeguard would be good addition to the resort during the day.
Signs in toilets to make adults and children aware they should wash hands after using any part of the ablutions.
A park fee has to be paid to stay or visit. It can be expensive for some things at the restaurant and shops.
The resort needs to have an entertainer (musician) for adults and children once or twice a week.
The Monkey Bar happy hour is good.
Better audio system for the outdoor area of the Monkey Bar with free music (shouldn’t have to pay to listen to music from a jukebox) and a outdoor TV screen for videos can be useful. A movie night or two for kids would be great so they have a bit of different entertainment instead of running over pedestrians on their bicycles.
The swimming pool under the straw gazebo gets too cold so is hardly used, it would be better utilized as an outdoor extension to the Monkey Bar.
Overall staying there is good apart from the above mentioned which requires addressing. In my opinion it doesn’t really meet the standards of a ‘Resort’.
I also suggest a visit to Denham, a lot more to see and do. Eateries, pubs, places for long walks without being harassed by children on bicycles speeding around.

Large resort with basic rooms for a comfortable stay. Also has camping grounds for those with caravans & tents. Big restaurant, smaller snack cafe, shop & bar available. Caters for families. Dolphins the big drawcard to the area!

I went camping in the unpowered site, and the beach was good, staff good, but even
When setting up the tent when we put in the pegs. The pegs were incredibly hard to put in because the ground was so hard, other than that good experiences, if you are too bring a tent make sure to be prepared. Good food, good pool. Would recommend

AMAZING. Lovely place for some nature. Amazed I could take the dogs on the beach. Big plus for me. Could watch the dolphins all day too, they came so close despite the dogs. Highly recommended the drive.

Was a beautiful place to stay, Fenced playground and pool was a massive hit with the kids.
Garden view room was nice albeit missing a few cooking facilities being a busy place, the camp kitchen was quite busy so had to eat early - maybe a bbq in the garden villas would be a nice addition.

Well worth the visit. Dolphin experience was a little disappointing after a fabulous tour at Shark Bay Ocean Park. Lovely new board walk to start, for the audience. Lovely park and amenities. Windy while we were there. We were glad we went there. It's very popular!

Astounding getaway place situated in the Shark Bay area of Western Australia. 9 hours drive from Perth.
This is a resort catering to a large variety of holidaymakers - from campers without power, to powered sites for caravans and chalets.
Provide several toilet, cleaning/showering and laundry facilities. Also a couple of well- equipped dining (hotplate stoves, ovens, microwaves, fridges, freezers, sinks, BBQ pits) facilities that are very well maintained and cleaned.
Visitors come from all over Australia and overseas, and are incredibly friendly.
Great place to unwind, relax and do a bit of fishing.

Loved the dolphins, crowded at talk times but saw much more when the crowd was gone and we were just enjoying time on jetty. Saw green turtle close to beach, dolphin chase a fish, pelican who stayed close to the dolphin. Friendly staff in all areas, Great movies at information centre. Bit pricey for items at main resort store but got things that cannot get elsewhere. Not sure about accommodation cost as went for day visit.

Overpriced.not even a kettle in the room.oh and don't forget when you book that is not the end of it as you pay a fee on top of the overpriced accommodation for just being here.not transparent at all when booking! And the rooms we were in the walls are so thin you can hear everything! And if your room is downstairs a chair moving in the room above is LOUD! Really bad.

This place is golden piece of beauty, everything about it, is spectacular.
We drove 9 hours driving from Perth to Monkey Mia, but its definitely worth it, and we will revisit the place for sure.
The safari kayak was great.
Very friendly staff.

Perfect with kids, clean facilities. I don't give a 5starts because the dolphin activity, I just think that the activity is not good for the wild life and gives false hopes to kids that wants to feed them and there are sooooooo many people around that the opportunity to feed is really low.

Eine ganz gute Unterkunt mit verschiedenen Optionen von preiswert bis gehoben. Tolle Umgebung. Service und Sauberkeit okay. Preiswert in jedem Fall. Öffentlich rechtlich.

Great place to relax and enjoy nature,
The only issue we had it would have been nice to be told you have to pay park fees.

Fantastic place, food at the resort was perfect.
Spoiled somewhat by inconsiderate groups of kids roaming around screaming and yelling whilst playing spotlight. Parents off drinking in another area of the park.
A message to management did nothing.

Beautiful beaches, Mick at the Kayak hut is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and weather conditions. Plenty of laundry facilities and 2 pools on site, not enough parking. If you buy the RAC the park pass online, it doesn't cover entry to Monkey Mia. Quite a remote location, multiple power outages while we were there, they seem to have alot of phone line and wifi problems also. Lots available in the shop, is dearer than Perth, we took fruit, breakfast etc with us. Treasure hunt for the kids was good. Tennis courts and equipment to hire available. I don't like to complain, but we weren't happy with the majority of the staff, not very friendly. The cleaning was average, as it is named a 'resort' we were expecting better, Feels as though this accommodation holds the monopoly in the area, therefore if you wish to stay in Monkey Mia you need to stay here. If you swim or snorkel in Little Lagoon, please note that stone fish do inhabit the lagoon. Sunsets are lovely, wildlife is beautiful, view from the jetty is a must. Visit to Denham was also good.

Disappointing stay. Visited last year and loved it so wanted to come again. Rooms this time were filthy. Please clean me had been written on the blinds before our stay so who knows how long it had been there for. Floor waa also filthy and poison left on floor in bathroom. Not ideal with kids. Bar also messed up our food order, waited over an hour for food. They admitted their mistake and said they would rectify straight away but 10 mins later they were still serving others before us.
