Overall a great experience. The resort is located in two parts, the camping area behind the administration and the cabins + chalets actually on lake beedelup. Staff were great and helpful with the activities (paid) of which I definitely recommending hiring a kayak to go on the lake. The lakeside room was very clean and spacious with Foxtel. The resort is partially located within the beedelup national park with walking trails accessible from the cabin side. The only criticism is that there is no wifi or data connection. Probably will come back for a getaway down south.:)

Service of the lakeside restaurant was nothing like my last visit before RAC acquired the resort. I had enjoyed buffet breakfast and variety of meals in lunch and dinner, however in my recent visit, there were only very limited options to choose in the menu. Restaurant was understaffed so we had to wait one hour and half an hour for our breakfast with our coffees were served half of hour after our meal!

Excellent food. The trout was perfectly cooked and the skin was at its best. The touch of lime over the dish was just the right taste and even the salt was at the right point. Totally recommendable!

Very interested to hear response from the owner/s.

Stayed at this place last weekend and to say it was a disappointment is an understatement. With its location and setting, this should be one of WA’s best tourist attraction and venue. But it would obviously need business minded management. Hopefully it was only my room but I doubt it very much. The rooms (in particular the bathroom) are tired and showing more age than some of the surrounding trees. Mould build up in the shower and broken furniture needs to be addressed. The prices of dishes and serving portions in the restaurant are an insult to your clients. I’m not sure what the Vegetarian Fettuccini was or if it was actually cooked by someone with any possible idea! Under salted, extremely overcooked Fettuccini, the complete dish was literally swimming in oil. Sad image and not ethical at a dinner table but I placed cutlery under one end of the plate in an effort to keep it tilted and draw the food to the raised to salvage the completely tasteless array of vegetables out of the plate. Four other people at our group table followed suit. Not my business to be nasty but it would be best to take this dish completely off the menu or educate the cook/or look at hiring people who can produce edible dishes outside seafood and chips. The above plate should have never left your kitchen let alone reached the clients table.

If there was a plus it would be the friendly staff.
Advice to owner/s, spend some money, time and effort. You have prime location business let down by lack of attention to detail.

Best place to spend your holiday with family, beautiful very very beautiful. The room is nice, clean, tidy, 2 bed (1 Queen and 1 single), the view from our room is straight to the lake view. Fresh air and the friendly birds came to visit in our balcony really amazing

Lots of activities that will keep you and your little one busy. We went for Animal feeding, kano, water cycling, fishing, climbing the tree and there's so many more activities you can do!

Ahh, and you can do BBQ with the lake view so relaxing

For the restaurant itself the food is good but a bit pricey and there's no any close restaurant around there, except you want to drive 15 minutes to Pemberton to get your meal.
Lunch time you might be able to drive to Pemberton for lunch but night time I won't suggest you to drive as it's very dark, no lighting on the street and the restaurant probably already close by dinner time

1 more important thing is if you are using any phone provider except TELSTRA it won't work. So make sure you have TELSTRA card to get connected while you are on your vacation

We stayed in a refurbished Lakeside room which had a balcony overlooking the lake.

Good: Fittings were modern and appeared to be well maintained. The room was clean and airconditioning worked well. The towels were white and fluffy and the shower was lovely and hot. The beds were super comfortable. The best part about this room was the view across the lake, and the cute 28 parrots who flew up to the balcony.

Room booking Tip: If stairs are difficult for you, ensure you ask for a downstairs room when placing your booking, or you will have to carry luggage upstairs.

Kitchen and cooking facilities: There was a small fridge, a kettle and microwave supplied. Limited crockery/cutlery, and some token coffee/tea/sugar packets. NO toaster was supplied or any other cooking facilities. Don't expect to be able to cook any meals, unless you want to try using onsite barbecues scattered around the resort. This lack of adequate kitchen facilities almost forces anyone who is not prepared, to eat at the overpriced onsite restaurant.

Tip: if you want to eat at the restaurant for dinner, ensure you have placed a booking well before arrival. We were unable to secure a table (was informed the restaurant was fully booked out).

So, with little cooking options immediately available, we had to drive 20 minutes to Pemberton for dinner. This actually did us a favour, as we enjoyed a delicious burger made with local produce, at a fraction of the cost of meals offered at the onsite restaurant.

All was not lost, so we thought. At the time of booking our stay I made the mistake of pre-paying for a buffet breakfast @ $25 each. Clearly, the buffet option had been removed by the time it came to actually visiting the resort. We were offered a limited menu of options for a hot breakfast, which also included a hot barista coffee or a juice. We had a choice of one option - but there was no option of a full hearty breakfast, as listed in the regular menu. Given I had pre-paid for this breakfast, we were expecting a hearty meal (like the Karri breakfast listed on their breakfast menu). But this was not offered at the time. We ended up having the eggs benedict, which was nicely prepared - but not hearty. Obviously this was just cost cutting. This was NOT value for money in this case. The staff were efficient.

Onsite WiFi: Yes of course there is WiFi available at the resort. Given that as this location is very isolated and mobile data just does not work, one would expect that like any decent hotel, WiFi would be included in the cost of the accommodation (which was expensive to start with). So, we chose to just relax without connection for one night. We could do without paying any more $ for this.

I would have given this place a much higher rating, if this was better value for my hard-earned dollar. Improvements on this can be made, for sure.

Fabulous well maintained facilities, gorgeous location, surrounded by forest. The camp kichen has 4 spotlessly clean ovens, gleaming stainless steel sinks, a wood combustion heater, large screen TV. We saw 30 roos grazing within metres of our vehicle. A few great walks close by, we walked to Beedelup Falls and then had lunch at the resort restaurant, which made it a very satisfying day. Can't believe it is one of the cheapest parks we have been to.

Thanks to Chris and the team for making our party of 40 odd people for our one night stay and supporting our orange people fancy dress dinner and pre dinner drinks in the chalet. Chris’ enthusiasm for our group was well received and everyone was impressed by his energy and the team he runs. We had a great time, thank you Chris and team.

This is an amazing caravan park, still in its creation stage but is very clean and well maintained. Kangaroos free graze on your door step. We will be returning as soon as possible - great access to Beedelup Falls.

We had a wonderful two days in the resort with amazing weather. The walks around the lake are a 'must do'. Awesome view from our balcony - the unit slept 8 my family could all stay together to celebrate my 70th birthday. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the bbq facilities were great. I definitely recommend the resort.

This place has really gone down hill.the rooms and service have never been great.but the new restaurant menu is basic and over priced and I nearly got thrown out because I was fishing from my lakeside room balcony, somthing I have been doing for years. I will not be coming back

Had a fantastic time with mates and children. The place was stunning lots of roos and emus close by. Camp kitchen was 5 star. Staff friendly as. The only let down was the fact there was 15 of us about 10 other campers and in the 5 days we were there the toilets were not cleaned once which is pretty bad especially in covid times.

Lovely place, plenty of walking to do here (Beedulup Falls is about an hour (easy) walk from our accommodation; there's mini golf, paddle boats, canoes, table tennis ️ Prices are quite reasonable in the restaurant. We kept coming back. We'd love more GF and vegetarian options please ️

Had a wonderful time. Chalets have had a makeover since RAC took over. Facilities are great and lots of activities for all. Beautiful location and scenic walks.

The resort was great as it had plenty of activities to choose from however the rooms did not include a washing machine or oven. We wanted to bake my mum a birthday cake but sadly couldn't due to this issue.

I went to karri valley and ordered the fish and chips and burger, first of all there was way too much batter and not enough fish it was far to oily to eat and needed much more seasoning same with the burger which was slightly undercooked whoever made it. I will come back but not for the food.

We stayed in a lakeside room 2 weeks ago and loved the resort. The view from our balcony was amazing, and we loved fishing and our bird visits. We enjoyed a lovely meal at the restaurant for my birthday also. Telstra phone service was great also. I took so many photos as I love photography, such a picturesque place. We can't wait to come back when it gets warmer. Thanks RAC Karri Valley Resort

It was a nice holiday! I have few complaints other than the activities weren’t very well organised. We were the only ones at the ping pong tournament, and the equipment was really old and bad quality. The archery was good, and although the lady teaching us was really nice, I have to say, she wasn’t very experienced. There was only one left handed bow. The restaurant messed up our order, the sausages were undercooked, though the staff gave us ice cream to make up for it. The staff were all really nice! Although I had some complaints, I had a great time!

1) Arrived on Thursday an stayed one night in the room on the lake. Heaps of spider web in the room on the walls. Also 2 big spiders on the wall. Carpet not cleaned properly with a lot of woman hair which definitely wasn’t from my wife. Enough mould around shower cabin. My friend next door didn’t have the rubbish removed before checking in.
2) moved for 3 nights in a cabin for 8 I believe it was. 2 bathrooms very dated with again heaps of mould and a granny house smell. Again spider webs. No bottle opener in the drawers.
3) confirmed breakfast as buffet but forced to use a la carte menu. I understand corona situation however wrong confirmation email sent.
4) restaurant understaffed. Waiting on coffee & food between 45 and 60 minutes.
5) in second day restaurant finished the avocado so less menu options
6) in day 4 the waitress forgot to bring my breakfast
7) kids menu deserts brought in different stages and it wasn’t more than ice cream
8) twice undercooked omelette was sent in 2 different days. Sent back to the kitchen and waiting again
9) last day my friends have been told that kitchen remained without ingredients to prepare breakfast (eggs, avo-really? Restaurant surrounded by farms. Requested reimbursement for the unserved breaker
10) facilities except the activities understaffed

Overall great location but poor serviced and not even close to 3 stars as RAC advertise
