RAC Karri Valley Resort reviews
79 Spend two nights here and it was a really nice getaway! The river view rooms are great with enough amenities. Easy parking and also plenty of activities to do. Certain activities close at a certain time, so be aware.
The restaurant is really nice with a variety of options, with beautiful views of the river.
There's a really great trail walk accessible right from the accommodation too, heads towards the waterfall. Would recommend this resort!

The campsite is lovely with lots of room for more than one car. The lake is very pretty and the food in the restaurant was amazing, if you go with kids this place has many great activities for them to enjoy. There are also some nice nature trails within the campgrounds, will come again in the future
Great spot for a family holiday with lots of things to do with the kids. It’s pretty relaxed and lots of self paced options. Our favourite was the kayaking. Cabins are lightly equipped for kitchenware, and would recommend bringing your own pan if you plan on cooking on the cooktop. Otherwise wifi was reasonably reliable if you need internet and there is reverse cycle aircon and a fireplace for heating and cooling.
Kayaking, canoeing and tinny paddling are the To-Do things on this placed. Most stock up food as the nearest area are 25 minutes drive and closes early.
We stayed at RAC Karri Valley resort for 2 nights in the lakeside studio. This resort is better for families than couples. The location is nice with the view of the lake and Beedelup falls close by, we enjoyed the hike to the falls. However, the accommodation is old and basic and needs refreshing. We were on the ground floor and due to the wooden building, we experienced very loud noise from the people walking around upstairs, which unfortunately meant it was not relaxing.
We went to the activities hut twice throughout the day to hire canoes and both times it was unattended and we had to return later.
We had dinner at the Lakeside restaurant and were very disappointed. I had the chicken and vegetables which was basic and under-seasoned but edible. My husband had the chorizo pasta which was soggy mush it was so over-cooked and very bland, he didn’t finish it. The cocktails and chips were nice, however.
It was a pitstop on our way back to Perth. It turned out to be an amazing stay with wonderful views which was totally out of our expectations. Highly recommended.
What a discovery for hiking, fishing and perfect relaxation for both body and spirit! The magical lake and the magnificent towering karri eucalyptus trees soothe the senses completely. Thank you RAC for maintaining this paradise.
It's a beautiful/brilliant place to stay. The location is stunning.
The exterior of the rooms need some attention.
For example dust and remove the spider webs.
Clean the verandah's.
The stair railes require attention (to wide) to make it easier for older people/folk to access the T0P floor.
The restaurant staff are friendly and helpful.
Food excellent a credit to the Chef.
In all a g8 place to visit/stay.

Great facilities, clean and tidy. Staff completed a quick clean in the mornings and then again a more thorough clean in the afternoon. Nature playground was well set up for all ages. Camp kitchen well laid out however you have to bring your own cooking items.
The lake is beautiful but unfortunately we found the rest of the experience disappointing. We had a lake side cabin, which shook entirely whenever someone walked past or someone above moved about in their cabin. The bathroom was old and dirty, and was a confusing room overall- it was a combination of a bathroom, kitchen, and wardrobe all in one. No phone reception, slow/patchy wifi, and tv aerial didn’t work. The restaurant was very overpriced with few (one) vegetarian option; the food we did get was disappointing- soggy toast and piping hot/stale pastries.
We stayed at chalet 25 and we want really pleased for what we paid for. No one window or door had fly screens on we end up having a lot of bugs untill we released there is not fly screens on. We got room for 4 people and there was missing cutlery got only 3 forks lucky we don't mind eating with hands. Rooms were pretty clean but cillings had spider web on it. Should have more towels and rubbish bags in future particular if guests stay more then 2 night. BBQ close to chalet run out of gas so all of as had to use one and it was bit busy at the time of dinner. We like the place and we will definitely be back. Looking forward to see bit of change.
The lady Holly on the phone is very rude and has very poor customer service skills. Being a face and the first point of the company, she needs to learn and provide the right information and be humble with the guests or customers. I would never wish to put through my call to her ever.
We stop by here for assistance on Friday 29 July 2022. The reception staff were helpful guiding us to Pemberton IGA to purchase a sim card. They also help book us for dinner at their restaurant across the road.
The signs are well lit at night to the resort reception entrance and warning signs are located well ahead for kangaroos.
Please note reception may be closed after 5 pm.
The resort is also approximately 1 hour walk to Beedelup Falls.
Fantastic place to stay for a minimum of 2 days.
We stayed in lake view cottage and it was wonderful view from the room.
The rooms were super clean.
My daughter had fun staying in Karri Valley resort. Lot of activities to do like small animal farm, kayaking, mini golf playing.
The only cons is the restaurant inside the resort. The food options are very less inside the property but Pemberton is just short drive (20min) away.
Karri Valley is absolutely amazing! We stayed in the lakeside rooms, couldn't have asked for a better location for our anniversary. The tranquility, staff, surroundings and atmosphere is magnificent. Plan ahead and prepare as it is a 'room' so those little extras are needed. Thanks Karri Valley. Keep doing what you're doing
Location is amazing with lots of walks and scenery.
Be prepared for add on for cost of activities if u have children.
Restaurant is limited as not family friendly dining and feel it needs cheaper choices if staying at resort especially with family.
Rooms are nice although bathroom is a bit in need of new shower as mould and decay.
This place is amazing!
Clean + well kept rooms, beautiful lakeside views, surrounded by wildlife, bird seed available at reception to feed the birds which I highly recommend doing, fantastic restaurant with such lovely staff, lake activities + so much more!
A perfect family forest holiday location.
All of the watersport facilities are provided for a nominal fee, including canoes, stand up paddle boards and row boats. There is also mini golf ️ and archery.
There are walk trails around the lake.
The Beedelup falls are nearby which are very well served with viewing platforms and stairs.
There is even a suspension bridge over the falls.
This is our 1st time to RAC Karri Valley Resort.
On this occasion we decided to take a lake side room, while the view in the morning and afternoon is spectacular there is something you might want to keep in mind before booking these rooms. The rooms are on stilts (We were in a block of 4 rooms) over the edge of the lake, while this is a fantastic view of the lake and forest it's not the best if your a light sleeper like me. As the floors are all wooden anyone walking in the adjoining rooms, you hear everything and when they are heavy walkers you will feel the vibration as well. The same can be said for the sliding doors to the balcony. Besides that they are great rooms for the views.
For me, the next time I will maybe get a cabin.
Food at the Lakeside Restaurant was good but both of our 1st choices for drinks were not available, so you might want to have a alternative in mind just in case.
Best camp kitchen i have seen so far. I'd love to camp there again soon just to sit and relax in the camp kitchen.
