Off Ya Tree

Staff are extremely rude and untrained. I got 2 ear piercings a few months ago and they are extremely infected due to them not being pierced straight. Had so many people comment on how shockingly they have been done. Waste of money I will now need to wait until the infection clears up so I can get them removed. Do not waste your time, pay the fee extra dollars and go to a professional piercing place. Extremely disappointed I make sure I recommend everyone not to go here.

Honestly a hit-or-miss, my previous piercer at this place was really nice and professional (2 helix and 2 lobes on both ears, 1st pic). I felt minimal pain throughout the whole proceture, no blood and was very happy afterwards until I realised one of the helix is a lower than I wanted (no prob, it was rush hour, and I'm a perfectionist so not really her fault).

However, the lady that re-pierced my ear (see lower helix in 2nd pic) was just honestly the worst. At one point, I was just twitching on the piercing bed in pain while she attempted to close my daith earring for like 5 minutes.

Afterwards, when I realised the helix she pierced is way too close to my existing one and asked her about it, she tried to blame it on me for requesting "symmetrical helix piercings (like the one in my other ear). If she wasn't sure what I meant she should have asked again, as I've already told her I'm re-piercing because I didn't like the how low the previous one was? Why would I want them to be so close together just to be "even with my other lower helix"? And then she tried to pull the "your ears are not the same anyways" bs which just made me so angry I thanked her and walked straight out.

I ended up cleaning the blood from my piercings and removing the helix she pierced at home.

TLDR: Hit-or-miss place. Okay if you're in for a single piercing or don't mind getting re-pierced, but I'd recommend Opal Hearts (very understanding and professional) over Off Ya Tree to anyone I know.

Wanted to get some more accessories and the whole time I was in their (casual didn’t feel like dressing up) I got the feeling they wanted us out. Another customer made fun of my partners outfit (wearing traditional shirt dress pants belt).

The lady piercing me was very nice - but clearly inexperienced as my piercing was done incorrectly to the point where i had to completely remove it

This is the place that made workers sell synthetic weed without telling them it was illegal. I wouldn't ever shop here again.

Got my septum done in July 2020, so hot in the room i almost passed out.

Came back August in 2021 and got a double helix and a conch and wow.horrible.helixs Periced at such a wonky angle to the point of 2 big bumps (and i have n o t slept on them). Its now October and i have to go and get them taken out and get them done somewhere better. Low quality jewellery and the staff are rude.don’t waste ur money. Not happy Jan

My piercing looks amazing and the girl who did it did an amazing job. Lost 1 star from me due to the initial customer service. I found the girl at the counter started off nice but became quite condescending and rude when I brought up I had my own after-care solution from previous piercings I had done

I just wanted to leave this review as I had such a great experience with Chantelle. Although I’ve had my nose and second lobes done at Off Ya Tree I’ve never had a cartilage piercing. She did my rook piercing so quickly and with absolutely no pain, 2 days later and I’ve had no weeping or pain I’m amazed. She’s definitely the best I’ve had there. Thanks so much!

Chantelle is easily the best piercer I’ve ever had! She is quick and knows her stuff. She is easy to talk to if you need a distraction like me and super efficient! 1000% recommend her for any piercings you’re thinking about

I got my nipples done in my small home town, I’ll just say it wasn’t very good quality.
So I got them re-pierced here!
The differences?
This time there was no blood
-pain went away after the first day
-they didn’t puncture my areola (like the other place did)
-No bruising!
-provided proper aftercare
- FANTASTIC price!
It’s definitely worth a trip to the city to have it done professionally and properly!

COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISRESPECTFUL. Use of racial slurs in the shop with no regard for the customer and discomfort they are causing.

I got pierced by Clare yesterday and the experience was so good. She made me feel very comfortable and took the time to explain that the piercing bar i chose was too small and would potentially cut off circulation and cut into my skin, instead of just doing her job she took the extra step to make sure i wouldn't be left uncomfortable and i went with the bigger bar and have no regrets
Very clean and professional place, good vibes and all staff took the time to reassure me as i was nervous. Great value for money as well, will definitely be coming back for my next piercing.

I got my nose pierced here paid $40.

The jewellery fell out while I was sleeping and I came back here and they said it has closed up and I have to pay to get it re done? Plus the after care they gave me didn’t even work nothing came out of the spray. Got no refund or anything not happy at all.

I would be happy if they would re do it for free atleast my money won’t be waisted but they said I have to pay again
