Off Ya Tree

Worker at the front today had bad attitude and was rude. Signage says to treat the staff with respect, but can't expect that when the staff speak in a very demeaning manner. Prices are good though.

I've had all 4 facial piercings done at Off Ya, Tree, never once experienced anything but kindness and expertise from the whole team. From reception, piercing and after-care, excellent service! Great work from Austyn and her team, you are all amazing!

Waited over 30 minutes at the counter just to buy some jewellery, never even got served just walked out after she kept serving people walking in after me. Lady at counter is lovely but way to understaffed for even a 2 star rating

I’ve had nothing but an amazing experience at off ya tree, I’ve been in for 6 piercings over the last year and every single one of them has healed perfectly, I have a needle phobia and Austyn and her team made every single piercing experience amazing for me!

Have double nostril on both sides, heavy gauge septum, Ashley piercing, tongue, and heavy gauge snakebites all done by the amazing staff at hay St, I recommend Liz to everyone she's a boss bishh

I’m so confused why there are so many bad reviews? My experience was honestly the best.i came in while they were busy, but the receptionist went the extra mile to pierce my septum knowing i had traveled far to get there.it was a rush but they kindly squeezed me in.the piercer, Austyn (i hope that’s how you spell their name) was very efficient.they put up with my nervous self and assured me that it really isn’t that painful.and after all the nervous squeals, they didn’t invalidate my fearfulness.the pain was a 3/10, and over so quick.it’s been pierced perfectly, and the staff were just so warm and welcome.i’ll definitely come back:)

Got my nipples pierced during the $5 piercings in December. Experience was okay, piercing went well although the lady did my right one very crooked, blamed my anatomy although I knew it was wrong.healing fine and cleaned daily although I still couldn’t touch them and would still get sore and would continue to scab up ish. I just thought it was the way it was meant to go as it’s a sensitive area. I recently went to essential beauty (yes ik) and they told me the jewellery was way too long and that’s why it wasn’t healed yet and I should’ve been able to touch them by now, they changed my 13 mm jewellery to a 11 mm and straight away felt better have had no issues and can touch them now.
The only reason I am rating so low is because I was never told i had to change the jewellery and went so long in pain and scared of touching them.
They are amazing now! Still crooked but I guess that what you get at this place. Definitely will go back but for nothing more than simple piercings.

Very cold receptionist and for some reason she felt the need to cut me off and argue with me when I told her what I needed to replace my conch with.
The piercer was lovely, although he did ask me if I was getting a piercing (I didn’t buy any jewellery appropriate for a new piercing) but I’d still find somewhere else next time I need jewellery/piercings.
Overall I used to go to the one in Sydney on Oxford street and that one is way more welcoming and friendly.

Have now had my septum, eyebrow, nostril nipple, and ears pierced here also buy all my stretchers and gauged septum piercings from here always providing the best advice, awesome service awesome quality jewellery, always have a good chat with the workers who are really friendly and helped with all I wanted done, won’t get pierced anywhere else but here!

All the staff are so friendly and super helpful Had nearly all my piercings done here.and who can say no to the great sales and deals they have

Very disappointing experience at Off Ya Tree tonight; drove 25 minutes into the city to get an ear piercing (for both my daughter and I), thought we may need to wait a little while as they currently have the $5 piercing promotion on, however they don’t take bookings, so we would not have minded waiting.

Upon arriving it was almost completely empty, there were two people waiting to be pierced and no other customers.

The staff member advised us that there were “no more spots” left for tonight, which was confusing as they don’t allocate spots or take bookings, and there were over two hours left until closing, and almost no one waiting to be pierced.

Not long after leaving, I called to double check that I hadn’t missed anything in the ad about spots or bookings, when the staff member advised that they were you busy and had TEN people waiting to be pierced tonight, which I knew was not the case.

TLDR - In summary, wasted trip, poor attitude from staff and definitely not too busy, perhaps more like couldn’t be bothered?

This was the worst experience I have ever had! I’ve had this piercing done before at another piercing shop and had no issues they looked at the size of my tongue and mouth before choosing the jewlery and piercing my tongue. At Off ya Tree they do not do that, they just pick any size which happened to be 22, that was way too long for my mouth and I had trouble talking and eating because of it and was constantly bleeding. The piercing was done on an angle so it felt very uncomfortable. I have never had a tongue piercing bleed for 4 days until I had it done there. After I called to ask they told me it should be fine but to come in right away for them to have a look or go to the GP. I was not able to come into the city to make it in time before they closed so I waited for the next day. I was in too much pain, the piercing was causing me to have headaches and I couldn’t bare another day so I took it out that evening and had instant relief this was after 5days of headaches, pain in the mouth and constantly bleeding my tongue had turned black from the none stop bleeding. My friend who was also pierced that day had issues with her piercing which was just a single tongue piercing.
I am so unhappy with the outcome and waste of money and would not recommend Off ya tree to anyone it seems as if their staff aren’t trained

Pretty bad customer service. Went today ask the Lady behind the counter a question about a piercing end I have to get and she was standing there with her phone behind the counter answering we can not do any inserts today. She was very dismissive of my question regarding a piercing part I needed so we left. A shame for the shop to have someone like that representing the company

Terrible rude workers without a clue. My friend and I went in to get our ears pierced and the lady said to come back in an hour as they were fully booked. This was fine, so we called their store 20 minutes later to make a booking and the lady rudely interrupted, saying they don’t take bookings. I checked their website, and it clearly says to call before coming in to ensure there is space for an appointment. We return an hour later asking to get our ears pierced again and the lady monotonously exclaims they are fully booked for the night. Disgustingly rude workers that don’t care about wasting your time.

Really rude and unmotivated stuff!
I went there 2 months ago and got my nose pierced. She were there already in a bad mood and made me feel uncomfortable but I thought maybe she has a bad day. Now I went there again and again she treated me so badly that I just walked out. Not listen, rolling eyes by questions. That is really bad! Other off ya tree shops are really nice and make you feel welcome but that's the worse shop!

I got my bridge and septum done for the two for one valentines special, the piercer was really friendly and professional, can’t remember her name but she had blue hair

Awesome shop with amazing products, dont go in with a budget in mind thou, had to sell a child after my last visit.

This is literally the worst place u can go for a piercing it's akward to even be able to get the piercing because they wont take appointments. One weekend I went up at 12pm and they where fully booked. So the next weekend I went up at 9am and they didn't even have the jewellery for my piercing even tho it's a piercing shop? I've got piercings here before and they have gotten infections or never healed properly. I recommend going somewhere that's not so difficult.
