We had a fabulous week. The cottage was beautifully appointed and well equipped, the beds were luxurious, and the location, next to a patch of state forest, close to town, and overlooking a meadow full of kangaroos, was perfect. Andrew and Julia were excellent hosts, and could not have been more helpful in accommodating our specific needs. The grounds are full of fun things for children of any age, but it is also a great place for couples who want a comfortable base from which to explore the region. I will definitely be returning!

Andrew and family are incredible hosts, from the first phone call to discuss the options to the moment we left, they couldn't have been more friendly and accomodating. They've thought of everything with the accomodation, and it's very family-friendly (we have a toddler). The location is perfect, an idyllic countryside escape but still only 3km from the centre of Margs. The highlight were spending time up close with the animals on-site. We fed the various alpacas, donkeys, goats etc.every morning and enjoyed seeing them roaming around the property. We also enjoyed the bush walks around the property - it's a beautiful place. We will be recommending to all our friends, we are already talking about the next visit!

We had a brilliant 5 days at Margaret River holiday cottages. Super peaceful, and a beautiful location! Plenty of activities for the kids with animal feeding, nature walks, marshmallow toasting and the pool. Accommodation was all you could need for a country retreat. Thank you!

Take us back! We wish we were still on holidays. Andrew & Jules from MR holiday cottages made our stay so amazing. We felt so welcome before we had even arrived. Andrew touched base with us before arriving to check if we had any questions about our stay etc, I’ve never had this service before, we were very excited.
We have a 14month old and she loved her time. Every morning there was animal feeding and farm buggy rideS. The animals were just so gentle. We had ourselves a swim in the solar heated pool, was fresh getting out but beautiful in.
There was heavy rain during our stay but Andrew was determined to get the outdoor fire pit lit for marshmallow toasting. Located right by the kids playground was great as we could enjoy a drink while our little one played.
Overall our stay was a 10/10 and we are already looking at dates to stay again.
I miss Kitty the calf so much!

Its not very often you see people who work in the hospitality industry, who are able to share their passion and love in everything they do!
To come and be apart of a place that wasn't about a pay check was incredibly priceless!

I would deffinately recommend this perfect place, the place was immaculate, the owners and their children are warm and friendly. (Very accomidating).
The animals were beyond beautiful, very well cared for.
If you want a stay that feels instantly at home, i couldn't recommend this place enough!
Upon arrival he just blew me away with his kindness. (Its all the little things people do, that we always forget matter the most).
Andrew and Julz have really done something incredible, to be able to walk into a place and instantly feel a fresh of breathe air just from how someone treats you.

Family including grandparents, parents and children had an absolute fantastic time. Stayed in the 4 bedroom house which gave us plenty of room to move about. Andrew, Jules and the kids are very welcoming. The baby animals are a delight and so friendly with the little ones. Would definitely recommend and stay again

This accommodation was perfect for travelling with kids, the cottages were well equiped and there was lots of space to play. Feeding the animals was a fun start to the morning and it was super close to Margaret river.

We had an excellent 3 days at the cottages. Andrew was an absolute gentleman and great host. Accomodation was great very comfortable. Perfect place to take young children, the baby animals are amazing. Handy tip, they even fix your flat tyres for you.

Our family had a fantastic 5-day stay in one of Andrew's timber cottages. Very close to town. Accommodation was clean and cozy; we loved the little retro fireplace. Friendly farm animals kept the kids entertained in the mornings. Andrew was a wonderful host and I would definitely recommend this place!

If I could give Andrew and his wonderful family 10 stars I would! By far the best customer service and hospitality I've ever experienced and the Gumnut Cottage was spot on for our family of 5. The grounds are amazing and the kids had a ball in the indoor pool and outdoor playground. The marshmallow toasting over the kid friendly fire pit was such an awesome bonus and the animals were amazing. My kids particularly loved meeting Henry the week old lamb. I would highly recommend Margaret River Holiday Cottages.

Our family have just returned from our 5 day stay at The Margaret River Holiday Cottages. We had the most amazing time and can not recommend this place enough!
Andrew, Jules and their beautiful children were fantastic hosts and made us feel so welcome.
The accommodation had everything our family needed to make our stay comfortable.
Andrew & Jules were so knowledgeable of the best local attractions and planned an entire day trip to Augusta for us.
Our children LOVED the age appropriate play area, the roaming animals and exciting nature trails. Their 5 day old lamb, Henry, was a huge hit too!
Evenings were the best part of our experience, toasting marshmallows in the fire pit, and meeting the other guests over a few drinks while the kids played happily.
The Margaret River Holiday Cottages are a hidden gem and we will be returning with our kids again soon for another short break!

Wonderful winter getaway in Margaret River. Great for kids, playground and animal feeding some very cute animals. Loved the firepit in the evenings with other like minded holiday makers. Cottages warm and cosy, lots of additional touches to make the stay more comfortable, marshmallows, coffee machine, electric blankets.
And lastly, the hosts were a truly lovely family, super friendly and helpful. Big thumbs up, highly recommend.

Margaret River holiday cottages are a lovely way to enjoy and feel surrounded by countryside. The cottages are lovely and comfortable with lovely comfortable beds, fires air cons etc.perfect for couples or family and the owners are superb. Although some chalets are being refurbished I do hope it remains a little tale rustic and affordable. It was a lovely 5 days thanks so much!

It was a joy and pleasure to spend 3 nights here at the cottages, and the perfect mini-getaway for our family. There was something for everyone and the location was equally loved by my 7 year old and 2 year old. I was transported back to my childhood of toasting marshmallows around a fire in God’s glorious creation. Our cottage was located such that we could watch the kids playing without actually having to go outside. Perhaps most highly rated was the warmth and personal touch by Andrew and Jules, both of whom have a gift for making the m visitor feel like a VIP before you’ve even arrived. The heavy rains brought on a few unexpected drips and leaks in the cottage, which were dealt with promptly, professionally and efficiently, and as such, did not affect our time there at all. Highly recommend!

Probably my best experience ever in terms of hospitality. Andrew, Jules and the kids are probably the nicest people you'll ever meet. Our cottage was clean, nice, and made us feel like it belonged to the surroundings of the property; which are amazing as well. Nice trees, lovely animals and some nice BBQ's! Cannot thank Andrew and Jules enough, wish you all the best.

The cottages are stunning. The property was so amazing. We fed the animals in the morning, did the discovery bush walk in the afternoon and roasted marshmallows by the fire in the evening. The property is super close to town so it’s very convenient. Andrew was so lovely and very accommodating and welcoming. We will definitely stay again.

Stayed with family from 7th-9th July and had a great time, Andrew was very nice, and place very family friendly and already planning next trip for the next school holidays, I would recommend this place to anyone who loves peace and quiet and relaxing.

We had a fantastic time staying in Margaret River Holiday Cottages. The location is unbeatable being so close to town yet with state forest on your doorstep and farmland around you really are staying in the bush. The farm grounds were perfect for our rugrats to just go off exploring on their bikes and interact with the animals. The feeding of the animals was a great way to start the day and a swim in the heated pool every afternoon was just what was needed for the kids at the end of the day. Not too mention roasting marshmallows by the open fire pit in the evening and watching the stars. Beautifully appointed with everything you need - we stayed in the gumnut 4 bedroom cottage and it could easily accommodate two families with a private outside entrainment area as well. We could see kangaroos jumping across the paddock from the dining room bay window. Just perfect Andrew and Jules! We wish you all the best and will be back again with our friends.
