Lake Brockman Tourist Park reviews
66 We booked 3 nights at the quokka campgrounds. It felt like we paid almost $200 to sleep in a shopping centre carpark on Christmas Eve. The sites are tiny and ours was infested with bull ants. It actually seemed dangerous with tents required to be set up alongside the road. 2 people in our group didn’t come as they had covid, which was really lucky as there wouldn’t have been room for them anyway. We were kept up all night by babies screaming in multiple directions and the sound of the nearby toilet door slamming. We spent a day by the lake with every cashed up bogan in WA. The serenity destroyed by the sound of countless jet skis. We couldn’t bear the thought of another night, so headed home 2 days early. Not the idyllic lakeside retreat we anticipated…
Surprisingly the sites our other friends had in tent lane were much more secluded and pleasant. If I had my time again I would book there or splurge on a glamping tent.
Lake Brockman Tourist Park, located just under two hours south of Perth. Its a gorgeous park with friendly hosts, clean amenities, beautiful views of the lake and forests all around.
Great spot for the kids, fair prices and dog friendly. I highly recommend the trip!
Just had the pleasure of staying in one of the eco glamping tents.was absolutely superb, exceeded my expectations. Clean and comfortable. Views spectacular. Very friendly staff. Will be back. Thanks
If you don’t have a boat, this campsite is not for you.
You can’t really swim in the lake due to the boats (it’s actually not allowed), loud music from boats till late, there’s not much to do in the area beside the boat stuff. We walked around the lake which wasn’t nice, as there’s no trek, we walked most of it on the asphalt road.
Camped at the unpowered site for 2 nights on the tourist park. Nice clean site, ablution blocks were clean and easy walking distance even at night. Camp kitchen is big, spacious and plenty chairs and table if you prefer to eat there. Friendly staff and cafe and store has supplies if you run short.
Easy access to Logue Brook dam to spend the day. Bring floaties and subseeker as the terrain around dam is hard and rocky so not so pleasant to sit for long time and no shade.
Will definitely return to stay here if coming back to the area! Thanks guys!
AMAZING! Rented a couple camp sites for a week long stay expecting an average sized area, as it is at many camp sites I've stayed at, but they were massive to fit at least 4-5 tents, so surprisingly spacious. The camp kitchen and ablution block was but a hop, skip and a jump away. The lake was less than a minute walk away. The cafe was delightful, scenic views, nice food. The permanent residents are friendly. All n all a great place to stay. I would highly recommend Lake Brockman. I will be going back again. Thanks to the staff there for a fantastic experience. Photo is taken of our camp sites. Then forgot to take other photos, was having too much fun.
We camped in an unpowered site with a million dollar view. The dedicated camping section is much nicer than the tourist park with easier water access and lake view from all sites. Great meals at the cafe, lovely staff except for one old battle ax who needs to retire.
Passed through here for lunch on our Munda Biddi Trail ride. Staff were super helpful with refilling our water bottles and recharging phones etc. Can't thank them enough. Food was also great, Pizza went down a storm.
A really good spot for a break close to Perth. The lake is very pretty with some nice walks. Great for kids. Facilities aren't young but they are clean. Well worth a visit. Pick your days for a swim.the same water is bracing.
Second time stop here and chose the bush camp for this quick stop and loved it just as much as the main site. Staff friendly and accommodating and the site is well maintained.
Went camping with our dogs for 3 days, was very disappointed with setting the tent up on gravel. The lighting was extremely poor, thank God we had lanterns. Wouldn't go again.
Female staff member was very rude and inconsiderate on the phone, was told I had to cancel the booking more than a week before my stay, but their website states 48 hours.never got to change my booking date, scammers.
We actually went to the Cafe, we visit it often and have never been disappointed. The area is beautiful, calming and relaxing, always nice to sit out on the deck, enjoy our lunch and coffee, listening to the birds chatting just beautiful
30 of us from the Cobra Car Club WA had breaky at the tourist park after a run from Perth - great service and food, all delivered with very efficiently given the large team of all ordering all at once, well done:)
Great place for water sports. Camping is great.
Only downside is there are to many rocks next to the water which makes it hard to walk on.
Awesome experience of sleeping with sound of breeze and tree leaves. Shaddy most of the time during the day makes this camping site a good place for summer. Highly recommended
Fantastic experience recently with the staff. We found ourselves in a situation that arose out of the blue. The staff went out of their way to help us. Thanks to Sonia and her team for accommodating us and a very special thanks to “Caz” who went above and beyond to help us. She is a true gem! I would recommend this lovely tourist park without reservation. Good old fashioned customer service. Also the facilities were very clean and well taken care of. Thanks guys. We will be back
Great location. On-site shop has essentials and take away food. Town centre only 15 mins away. Stayed non powered site. Showers and toilets are very close. Kitchen areas are huge.
Nice but COLD showers not to be confused with warm, bring your own wood as you can burn a fire all day long -sooo nice n keeps you warm in colder months. Kitchen was clean n tidy, staff very accommodating. NO reception except TELSTRA.
As first timers here I gotta say it's pretty amazing. Just a gorgeous calm spot. We are here in July, it's wet but not a lot of people around at all.
The caravan sites are set in trees, fire pits through winter, just spot on. It has permanent cabins for rent, camping sites and caravan sites. Like being in the bush, but not.
The lake and dam are such a hidden gem. Staff have been amazing. There is no doubt we will be back.
