Karratha Medical Centre reviews
58The doctors we have seen are kind, helpful and patient. Haven't had any issues and it is the only medical centre we go to in Karratha.
Very friendly and obliging and the doctor I saw was excellent.
Even got my booster jab at the hospital while I waited.
Great day thank you
They emailed me asking for review after my appointment yesterday. So here I’m writing it from hospital in severally depreciated condition due to their negligence.
My appointment was half an hour late, which is fine if not the doctor that was rushing to get thru the patients before knock off.
She ignored my symptoms saying that it is all fine and normal because I’m a female and sent me out the door after couple minutes. No tests, no referrals.
I went to another doctor first thing in the morning and got immediately referred to hospital deeming my condition serious.
This negligence and just cashing on patient volume approach is downright dangerous.
Shame on you!
Managed to get an appointment ASAP when I phoned up (within the hour). Quick, efficient and friendly staff.
Full skin check took less than 5mins (more like 2) and didn’t do a thorough check. Went to reception to ask if there was a fee only to get a rude “I don’t know you name” instead of asking my name. For the poor service I get an $85 bill, never again. Care more about the turn over than patients.
Long wait times on hold, close to 50 minutes again. Once spoken to, I had a very rude receptionist.
A+ for customer service-Jess (in reception) is always friendly, helpful, professional and thorough. Everytime I have contacted her she has gone above and beyond. She is a real asset to your team, thanks Jess!
Need Dr Kudzai back! He looked after those on a pension by bulk billing. Dr Kabane charged $165 to send me home with a form to fill out for possible post-partum depression then expected me to make another booking to just discuss options. No thank you. As a single parent on unpaid maternity leave, cannot afford that hence hoping for medication as therapy is just as expensive. No wonder people off themselves up here!
$85 for a 5 minute consultation is criminal. What a rip off and a gouge for a remote community. Public health has failed and the privates have decided to take maximum advantage. Unconscionable.
The best Medical Centre that Karratha has to offer. Both the Dr’s & Staff are wonderful. I cannot commend them enough.

After many visits during past months I can vouch for the reception staff. Dr Kabane is very, very good.
Professional staff, some excellent doctors. Generally very little time to watch TV in the waiting room.
I book my appointments online via the HotDoc app and always see plenty of availability.
Arrived for a CoVid jab and I had the dates wrong, but the lady at the front counter went out the back, checked if there would be space for me and gave me the go ahead!
You can see the staff are under a lot of pressure with patient numbers and busy doctors, but I've always had friendly service and can appreciate the staff are always doing their best.
If I ever just need a quick consult I try use Instant Consult app, to reduce load through the surgery system. But I've been lucky every time I visit Karratha Medical Centre and will continue to use them whenever I need to see a Dr face to face.
Keep up the great work Karratha Medical Centre, especially those of you on the front line who may not always get to see the kindest/compassionate/patient side of people ️
Was in to see the doctor very quick. And the wonderful Ladies at the front desk were super helpful and understanding. Got me straight in for my next appointment and faxed all the forms off no worries so I didn't have to do a thing. Thankyou
Booked in for COVID vaccine clinic - was advised realistic wait time but service was much quicker. Helpful & friendly front desk staff and lovely nurse who saw me for my vaccine.
Super friendly and helpful staff - Jess and Laura worked tirelessly throughout the week to help organise appointments and liaise with the clinic doctors behind the scenes. What could have been a very stressful situation was made so easy and pleasant by both of these lovely staff members - they truly went above and beyond to help us out. Thank you everyone at Karratha Medical Centre for being so wonderful to work with!
I have always been very happy with my experiences at Karratha Medical, i have been attending for over 16 years.
Thankyou for always being so professional and helpful, even when you are understaffed you manage to find a way to show support and understanding.
Went into the clinic as a walk in as was out sick from work for the day and couldn't wait for an appointment booking. The girls on the desk, Jess, Mon, and Laura were so friendly and helpful, which is what you really need when you're not feeling 100%. Was seen by a friendly Doctor after a short wait and able to go back home to rest. Thanks so much for the great service, much appreciated.
I went there because I had a really bad pain and the doctor after saw me for 1 minute wanted to send me straight to surgery and said that I won’t be able to work for 6 weeks, without a minimum of kindness. I’m glad that after I went to consult a lovely doctor at the health campus who gave me antibiotics instead and ask to see me again after 3 days and now I might no need a surgery at all.
It’s hard enough by itself to be far away from home in this situation and I think everyone need a bit of support from the doctors.
