Doctor did not turn up for appointment. Staff did not inform us of it or even interested in finding out if he was going to turn up. Just expected us to wait with no information.

Received a really rude phone call. Had to reschedule an appointment due to sleeping in because I'm really unwell, got told no one there will see me because my bank card was stolen & I can't pay at the moment until my new one arrives even though they've bulk billed me before. I said I'm really sick & really need to see a Dr, they said they don't care that I'm sick & that my bank card was stolen & were terribly rude & awful to me. I won't be going there anymore.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SURGERY. I had bloods taken in January and received no call back. I was told this would mean the results were all clear. I called back in the following weeks to double and triple check. The receptionist at the time told me there wasn’t anything in the notes or to follow up. Again, I called back some time after as still feeling unwell and asked for the Dr to call me. No call. 10 weeks later I call back and I’m told there are notes to discuss. I received no apology from reception, just an excuse that that person wasn’t working in the at that time. When the Dr returned my call she informed me there was a text sent out in Jan, which was never received. My main complaint is that there was no follow up or care. I had to repeatedly chase this up and when I did get a call back I was then asked to pay for this follow-up. Highly unprofessional and so incredibly unhelpful.

Severely unimpressed with the female doctor operating there. I refuse to deal with her after my experience. Unfortunately she is the only doctor available in all of Karratha qualified in this matter, so this means I will not be receiving the treatment. Would be nice if Karratha allowed for more than a single doctor to cover basic women’s health.

They emailed me asking for review after my appointment yesterday. So here I’m writing it from hospital in severally depreciated condition due to their negligence.

My appointment was half an hour late, which is fine if not the doctor that was rushing to get thru the patients before knock off.
She ignored my symptoms saying that it is all fine and normal because I’m a female and sent me out the door after couple minutes. No tests, no referrals.
I went to another doctor first thing in the morning and got immediately referred to hospital deeming my condition serious.

This negligence and just cashing on patient volume approach is downright dangerous.

Shame on you!

Long wait times on hold, close to 50 minutes again. Once spoken to, I had a very rude receptionist.

Need Dr Kudzai back! He looked after those on a pension by bulk billing. Dr Kabane charged $165 to send me home with a form to fill out for possible post-partum depression then expected me to make another booking to just discuss options. No thank you. As a single parent on unpaid maternity leave, cannot afford that hence hoping for medication as therapy is just as expensive. No wonder people off themselves up here!

$85 for a 5 minute consultation is criminal. What a rip off and a gouge for a remote community. Public health has failed and the privates have decided to take maximum advantage. Unconscionable.

I went there because I had a really bad pain and the doctor after saw me for 1 minute wanted to send me straight to surgery and said that I won’t be able to work for 6 weeks, without a minimum of kindness. I’m glad that after I went to consult a lovely doctor at the health campus who gave me antibiotics instead and ask to see me again after 3 days and now I might no need a surgery at all.

It’s hard enough by itself to be far away from home in this situation and I think everyone need a bit of support from the doctors.

Worst service ever. Had an appointment at 3.15pm, filled up information sheet before my appointment. After 1.5 hours of waiting, when asked what happened to my appointment, I was told the doctor had left without seeing me. Apparently, the doctor forgot and so did the staff. Thank you for making me wait this long and not letting me know. Not coming back EVER.

What out for doctors giving you the incorrect scripts! This happened to us more than once and when we bought it up we were not allowed to see ANY OF THE DOCTORS! So please be careful! Especially of a female doctor.

Unprofessional.had an appointment for my wife today, she reached there on time after confirming the appointment. While waiting she felt thirsty and moved out for 5 mins to bring a bottle of water informing the reception. Once she is back she asked to return back and reschedule her appointment. REASON "YOU WERE OUT TO BRING WATER"!

They are not clear about the fact you will be charged even when they advertise bulkbilling. Also the receptionist was rude and hung up on me when I asked for directions.

Made me wait three and a half hours in the waiting seats even though I'm only asking for a medical certificate for my migraine. People who got in later than me received some immediate health care. I just got up and left once the time hit 3: 30pm. I was starving since i kept myself clear just in case the doctors require me to. Just go to the pharmacy and they get the job done in minutes even if they ask you $45 for it. Considering that Medicare would pay for these nurses hourly anyways, it doesn't matter if people would wait for hours, yes?

Karratha Medical Center provides extremely below average services. Staff are clueless about appointment etiquette, make it apparant they believe their time is more valuable than yours, and look for means to extract money instead of offering basic empathy.
On arrival to a follow up appointment (which was booked directly through them at the clinic), they advised that the doctor was on holidays and would return in 3 weeks. No alternate appointment with another doctor was available. As explanation, they advised they had called twice (from a private number), and that their 'policy' does not allow them to leave a voice or text message- not even 'this is karratha medical centre, please call back'. We are meant to intuitively assume it is the doctor's office calling to cancel an appointment.
As the doctor was unavailable for 3 weeks, we requested to receive a print out of our pathology results (offering to wait for half an hour if needed). They advised they would not be able to provide it today as the other doctor needs to sign a release and is busy.
On request to have the results printed for tomorrow ready to pick up, they advised this could not be guaranteed (as the doctor is still so busy).
Letting them know that we would be leaving town in two days for the holidays, we requested for the results to be emailed to us instead when the release was granted. Emailing is also against their 'policy'.
We asked if the results could be sent to an alternate doctor at our request. They said yes, please fill in this form and pay us $50 for YOUR results to be released to an alternate doctor even though none of ours are available for consultation.
When asked if I can request another doctor to retrieve my results on my behalf, they say they do not know about the process.
Bulk billing is advertised but this service is in fact not bulk billed (at the doctor's discretion.).
Most definitely not recommended. Take yourself somewhere where you're likely to be treated like a human instead.

Disapointed was kicked out of the consult at 13mins, doctor advised that 2 items for a terminal illness was enough for her to discuss. I still needed blood test referral and was told to make another appointment

Had a good visit to the doctor a month ago, I was given an ultrasound referral that had to be sent to the hospital, I followed up today with the medical centre on the timeframe, the receptionist gave such a loud sigh that it made me feel uncomfortable, I don't think she should be answering phones if she cannot deal with people with empathy or courtesy. Checked with the Hospital and they have not received my referral, up to me to find my copy and submit myself.
