Jurien Bay Tourist Park reviews
67 Fantastic location, just next to Jurien Bay Jetty, playground and supermarket. Very popular place with chalets, caravan sites and tent sites. It gets really windy so bear that in mind if you stay at campground.
Amenities are old but well maintained, just the kitchen needs some more attention.
Fabulous park with a jumping pillow for the kids. Well appointed camp kitchen and impeccably clean ablution blocks.
Staff are super helpful and friendly.
Very small sites a 19' van is partially over the access road. Gravel sites, no slab and no pool. Over priced at $45 power and water 2p. Close to shops and beach
Close by the beach, have been here a few times in the past; did a recent trip and stayed in a one deb chalet. The throw and quilt were smelly as if they weren’t washed since a long time and poor decision of installing just one AC in the living room and no AC or fan in the bedroom, you end up sweating at night even if you turn the AC on in the loving room to the highest mode. I think at any facility its basic to have some cleanliness which was missing where it mattered.
Great facilities, cabin was very clean and fully equipped, it felt like a home. Location right next to beach and all kinds of shops. Jurien bay is part of turquoise bay, for good reason.
BEWARE WHEN MAKING A BOOKING!
We thought we were getting a cabin with a spa bath and couch due to the pictures on all the booking sites, but what it fails to mention is that there are only 3 deluxe cabins and the rest are standard. 2 old reclining chairs (no couch) separated by a table, and standard 1 person shower (no bath).
Staff were great and accommodating as could be, cabin was clean and environment was peaceful (except for the strong winds which was expected).
PLEASE DONT PRESUME YOU WILL RECEIVE WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICS - READ THE FINE PRINT!
All was good until we took our washing out of the machine. Brown and white marks all over! Spoke to the ladys at reception, showed them our clothes and asked if there was anything they could do as we would need to wash our clothes again at the next campsite costing us another $4. She flatly refused to offer any help. Told us it just happens. Apparently everyones washing comes out like it. A simple acknowlegement and our wasted $4 back would have left us very happy. But we were faced with a wall of aggression. Whilst talking to her she answered the phone and had a small conversation with the other lady working in reception ignoring me speaking directly to her. The lady flatly refused to even consider it had happened and she just said NO theres nothing i can do. I asked if a return of our $4 was possible to allow us to wash again at our next canmpsite. She immediately dismissed with a pure NO.
In her arogant and nasty words 'oh for gods sake its only 4 dollars' as she walked away from me tutting, i said precisely it is only $4 we are not asking for much. And after telling us nothing could be done and it wasnt 'her' park she tutted and said 'i tell ya what, il go halves, have $2' holding in her hands a bag full of $1 coins. She was unbelievably rude to my brother and I. And then her counterpart held up her hands and flatly said 'im closing the doors'. She was horrible to talk to and should not be in a job involved with the general public. On our 4 months in Australia she is by far the worst person we have met!
The park itself was very nice, fab showers and toilets, and we had a lovely big grassy site. Gave us loads of space to sort out as we are coming to the end of our trip of WA!
Anybody who encounters a problem and seeks help at the reception beware! Youre in for a real treat:) she is vile!
Reading other reviews we would assume its the same manager Faye.
Lovely park I'm a very pleasant town. Not far from Perth. Road can be dangerous due to idiots overtaking on blind rises and corners.
Great Park right across from the beach with a wonderful cafe right next to the office. Reception was super friendly.cant believe some of the bad reviews! Showers were nice and clean ans the campsite nice and tidy.there are a few grassed sites but we had a gravel one at the back which was fine. Lovely Park by the beach for the kids. Great man made reef by the old jetty
Great location however it’s a shame caravan bays have no lawn not sure why this is it also has no shade it’s not to hard to plant a couple of trees around the place
Further more as I’m disabled I found disabled ammenities had not been cleaned when I approach the main office to complain the very next day I had the staff member who I believe to be the cleaner approach my site to complain to me that I had made the complaint at no time a staff member should have made these comments to myself
Lovely park. Nice green grass for tents and the chalets look really nice too.
Location great being right on the beach.
I would go again.
Stay here for a few days, its nice and clean. Everyone is really nice and friendly. It super close to the beach and shops. Cant fault it at all. They have a big jumping pillow for playing on. There is a play ground just at out the front gates along with the jetty. Camp kitchen And bbq's are clean well keep. As is the grouds.
This place is excellent. Near to the beach with shops and takeouts close by. Tent site was generous, amenities were really clean and well kept. Staff friendly and helpful. We'll be back!
We stayed in a cabin for two nights and enjoyed the park. It is well set out and the cabin was good. The location near the beach and jetty is very good.
Nice park. We had a powered site. The sites are spacious and the amenities block was always clean and maintained. Big bouncing pillow, which was a hit for the kids
Nice quiet park a short walk to the beach and jetty. Clean amenities. Managers are awesome. Big sites. Loved it here.
Super unfriendly reception lady, that was just ridiculous. She was absolutely unprofessional, arrogant and condescending. I had no reservation, but there was plenty of room available online. I thought walking in would be fine - but NO, I was informed that I must call before to check. Well ok, didn't know that, up until now Australian hospitality was different and again, there was obviously space available (checked online and the campground wasn't full). So I asked if she can send me to another place nearby - and this is the real bummer here - she goes "No, drive 30ks north or south. " which rather sounded like "No, piss off" Well, thank you for nothing.
Went ahead and simply booked online, got there again, she was still not letting us on: "For you there is no place here. "
Just fyi, there is in fact another campground right across the street, maybe not as nice, but the reception lady is real friendly and all is well.
We spent one night here and the place has all the facilities you need. Clean and good location for tours
A clean site. Polite staff
Great amenities and a good Location to the beach.
Many local shops. No real need to self cater.
A good dog beach
It would be better if they provided simple things, like hand soap in the bathroom so you can wash your hands properly.
