Met Paul, he was very friendly. We asked as to whether the pork and fish were cooked in the same area, and he explained he does it separately. So for those muslims wanting a good fish and chips, this is the place to go! By far the best fish and chips in Perth! The food is fantastic! A+

Had lunch here a few times now.cooked perfectly, really light and crispy fish, onion rings etc. Even the coleslaw is nice and I don't even like coleslaw normally. Casual dining space. This fish and chips is another level and just better than anything I've had before.

Ordered takeaway Uber eats fish and squid box - probably best to eat fresh from fryer versus delivery but could tell the fish and squid was fresh and nicely cooked.

I went with my husband and baby to this amazing restaurant. Service is awesome and the food is delicious. Will be going back, I recommend trying it!

A person took me here for the first time ever! It was epic! I loved the food as a treat and the drink was delicious °¬° I have not met people inside but I will when I am able to in the future.

I ordered 1x Fisherman Basket, 1x Pan fried Hake, and 1x Fish Cake delivered through DoorDash.

The Fisherman Basket - Was Good. The Fish, Calamari and Prawns were all battered nicely. Not a giant mountain of chips like they give you at some places, but the amount was adequate and higher quality. The chips were a little soggy but that can be attributed to it being wrapped then steaming from the heat. Not a lot can be done though as it was delivery. You also get quite a substantial pot of sauce.

Pan fried Hake - Excellent. Light, buttery, and the herbs and lemon added to the taste. A bit thin though. Pretty standard thickness for a fish and chips shop though.

Fish Cake- Not what I expected. I kinda expected like an Asian fish cake texture. But was closer to a Japanese potato croquette in terms of texture. Still pretty tasty though.

Price - A bit on the high side, but reasonable considering the (what looks like shop made) fries, the ridiculous price of seafood in Perth and the quality of the meal. Definitely a decent price for a higher quality fish n chip though. You get what you pay for.

Suggestions - The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was that there was no Scallops on the menu like they have at some fish n chip places. I love scallops. Maybe I just didn’t look hard enough on the DoorDash menu. Anyway it’s just a little suggestion I’d like to put out there.

10 of us went for a precursor to a night out. Amazing food and service with a bottlo around the corner for some cheeky byo. Great vibe only bettered by the generous well priced meals!

Dear me! Nearly THE worst fish & chips we’ve ever had. Got sucked in by the spiel. The fish was greasy & the chips looked like scraps with lotsa small tiny bits. Truly unimpressed.

Many hours later we all still have an oily taste on the roof of our mouths! The food looked dark (how old is your oil?) As for eating all the food, we were hungry ‍️

Definitely lives up to the claim of best fish and chips in Perth. The food was all fresh and tasty, real old style/rustic chips with true flavour. Price is VERY reasonable for the high quality. Customer service was amazing, kids ate every crumb! Definitely worth the trip!

Really nice person, will come out and check on you when he clears all orders. The fish and chips and tacos were splendid. Crispy skin and moist fish. I highly recommend.

Located in a nice quiet side lane in the heart of Perth. The owner seems to love his job and knew everything about his fish. What a great experience! Oh and it’s also cheap and you get heaps of it

OMG, literally had the best fish n chips ever in my life. Walking all the way from our hotel to here, although there is a bit difficult to look for this restaurant but we did not give up after seeing all the comments about Grand Lane Fish House were so good! Friendly owner, explain and let us know what’s the special and also what they have on the menu one by one to us. Love their Cod fish so much! People who travelling to Perth must try!

Cleanliness: 10/10 (the toilet first impression for me was like, OMG it’s extremely clean and full with fishes wallpaper, so cute! I love that!)

Place: 10/10 (totally agree to what the owner said.what he is going to pay was just 1/8 or 1/10 compare to those shops outside the street. Just remember that if you make great food, people will come and find you) just go to the backstreet of Barrack street from *Anytime Fitness there, and you will see Grand Lane!

You don't get a 4.8 rating if you don't know what you are doing. The hidden location down a back alley just adds to the charm of this non-pretentious fish and chippery with the highlights of great service and delicious food of course. The only suggestion? Perhaps find a way to offer reusable utensils etc.

A bit out of the way down a back alley. Sounds sketchy, but is totally worth the journey and perfectly safe. Hands down, the fish and chips is among my top 5 best I have had around the world.

Theses chips are unbeatable. You won’t find better ones. The fish was superb as well. My only criticism would be the price but I understand that he’s probably paying phenomenal rent in the CBD so I have taken that into account and awarded 5 Stars anyway.

Seafood was absolutely delicious as was the mushy pea! Chips on the other hand were bit soggy, might due to the fact that it was very busy on the night we visited. Still an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price; The unique setting adds a touch of charm and would highly recommend this place.
