EVH Emergency Vet Hospital reviews
75The staff here turned away injured wildlife for treatment, which thankfully another vet was then was able to see and assist in their time of need. This animals suffering lasted longer then it needed to though which is why I am taking the time to share this with the community.
Tonight we said goodbye to our beloved Chico. He had not been well for some years with heart issues and a collapsing trachea.
Tonight he suddenly got very sick at night and we took him to EVH.
The service we received was excellent. The vet and nurses were wonderful, explained what was happening and our options.
Very efficient but also compassionate. All of them.
They made a very difficult time easier, if that can be said.
Thank you to EVH staff for your patience and support.
We would highly recommend this practice for any after hours emergency care. They were brilliant with their care of our mums’s dog Elvis who required many visits to this practice at all hours. We received care that was both compassionate & professional. Thanks EVH
Definitely dont recommend.took a lost dog there as i have a dog at home and its the closet vet she refused to take the dog or help find the owner just stated she will call the pound Disgusted
What an angels! Such caring and great people working at the emergency vet hospital!
They looked after our saint bernard who became severely sick after an minor operation at a different vet practice, we had to rush her to the EHV in the middle of the night in the weekend, they took her in straight away and due to their care and expertise she improved after a few days and is now out of the danger zone.
We are immensely grateful!
Highly recommend the professional and friendly services at EVH. My boy ingested a poisonous substance whilst outside and was in a bad way within 30 mins. He was seizing/fitting and couldn't walk. The toxins attacked his neurological and muscular systems. Even contracting Hypothermia. I was an absolute wreck and the team at EVH obviously could see this. They were very friendly, caring and also upfront with price estimations, so there was no extra shock for me to experience later. They offered me to sit in a room away from the reception area which was a real compassionate gesture. They worked on my boy immediately and he had a stay overnight. I have never used EVH before but found them so caring, nurturing and very reasonable priced. Would highly recommend the vets and staff there as I honestly believe he was close to crossing that rainbow bridge. Thank you so much EVH team I will forever be thankful my boy is still alive.
This business is receiving 1 Star purely for being open on a Sunday evening!
From the bloody towel greeting me at the entrance (blood continued on the windows, doors, all over the floor and was not a recent occurence) to the empatheticless veterinarian who by her own admission was quite happy to sell me uneeded medecine (when I explained I didnt have the amount of cash on me that was needed to pay for her 4 minute consultation and procession of medecines my animal required)
"That will be $320.00 all up"! Sorry I said, I only have $200.00 on me at the moment.
"Well, I will take this ear flushing solution out, it probably wont even reach the infected area anyway"!
The total is now $160.00? $120.00 for a fluid, which will not even have the ability to treat the item my animal was there for in the first place, by the vets own admittance?
If it were a human hospital or nursing home, this place would be shut down. How dare you prey on the desperation of animal owners and profit, not by providing a professional service but, by pure convenience.
Wake up to yourselves, you are dealing with something that means the world to most of the people you interact with! Look up the word empathy in the dictionary too, might help when meeting these people!
By the way, how about in your down time, you run a broom and mop over the place?
Taking pride in the appearance of a workplace is just another way of showing you care.but again, that evidence was clear!
I had to rush my dog in during the early hours for a serious case of Gastro. The staff were very helpful and took good care of her. She was able to come home that same night and I was charged less than what they originally estimated.
Only one issue. Had to take our dog there as she was vomiting constantly. Staff where wonderful & let us visit & take time with her. The vet gave me the options of what may be wrong with my dog, including I may have to say goodbye to her that day? ! He didn’t even have a prognosis yet. We were sent home to wait for 5 hours with no contact, thinking our beloved dog may die, until I called, Desperate to find out. She is much better & back to her usual self. I understand that they have to give all the information, but I would rather the vet held off saying my dog could die until they could find out more. Worst 5 hours of my life. But again, the vet nurses where wonderful.
Totally awesome service - they saved our puppy after a stick lodged in the roof of her mouth and only charged us a basic consult fee - highly recommended
I can’t speak highly enough about the kind and professional customer service Buddy and I received. Thank you so much! Buddy had a grass seed stuck up his nostril and could not stop sneezing. On a Sunday I phoned and they said to bring him in. Buddy is a strong, ten month old Lab and it took three of us to get him to stay still long enough to inject him for a ten minute sleep. I must have looked upset after the ordeal lol. I was quickly offered a chair and a ice cold water. Within a few minutes they had the large grass seed removed. The price was very fair and not with a big Sunday surcharge!
Buddy was back to his old self within an hour.
I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending these lovely people to take care of your pet and you!
Thanks again!
Disgusting! I couldn't pay for my dog until the morning so they refused to see him. He is struggling to breathe but still no care for the welfare of the animal. An absolute joke!
Today we had to say goodbye to our beautiful Molly cat and I can honestly say that I have never met a more wonderful vet and nurse who understood us and our Molly to a t. They gave us all the time and space we needed as well as a fantastic bed side manner. And I really can't thank Steve enough for not asking for payment before the awful end. They made a tragic day a much easier day. Thank you both.
We recently, Queen's Birthday 2017, had the distressing experience of our beloved family dog Gracie needing to be euthanased. I can't praise Steve and Sue highly enough for their professionalism and care, but most of all for their sensitivity to our loss and their amazing compassion. Thank YOU. Paul and Marion and Mala
The young receptionist was exceptionally unprofessional. Rude and lacking skills. Front desk was unattended for over an hour. Many people came and went. We transferred our cat with critical injuries from wonderful vet at Belridge. Will be contacting owners.
